Happy Thursday Babes! This week has been weird…to be honest a short week after an extended holiday weekend always throws me off. All I have wanted to do is cuddle up in bed…with my brand new Buffy! Ok so I literally LOVE sleep…like a comfy bed is the most important thing to me no joke haha So when I saw Buffy’s promise that it is the most comfortable comforter you will ever own, you know I had to try it. Spoiler Alert…it is!
I was on the hunt for the best comforter after I moved and after trying out Buffy…I found it! Buffy’s comforters don’t harm animals like other comforter’s do through the gathering of the feathers process + the comforter instead of being made from cotton which can have a negative impact on the environment, it is made of silk-soft natural eucalyptus fibers which use 10x less water to cultivate than cotton.
The comforter itself is beyond comfy + I love how it has a cooling effect as opposed to standard cotton ones that make me overheat at night.
Want to try for yourself? You can actually do a free trial to test the Buffy in your home and then purchase or return depending on your thoughts! The comforter comes in various sizes + it only costs between $120-$190 – very fair price for the most comfortable comforter you will ever own…trust me!
Plus the packaging and accessories are so cute! This face mask…Resting Buffy Face? I mean how cute right?!
My Pajamas are from Shop The Mint (you can even get them monogrammed if you like)! Check them out here.
Are you ready to try the comfiest comforter ever?!
I am BEYOND excited about today’s post! I am revealing my gorgeous new office space I have been working so hard on. Since I work from home, having a space that inspires my creativity + allows for endless amounts of content creation was key for me. I knew I wanted a light + airy feel (to match my instagram aestheitc…duh – P.S. ICYMI I shared a whole post of how I edit my insta photos here) and I partnered with a few vendors who helped make my dream a reality. From this stunning pink velvet couch from DHP Furniture to the stunning gallery wall made possible from Framebridge to these fun furry pillows from Best Home Fashion to the classiest coffee table books from GiGi New York…everything I wanted came together to make the ultimate office space!
Let’s first start with my marble accent coffee table (an Amazon find) + these GiGi New York coffee table books. I was on the hunt for a great marble table + scored this one on Amazon for under $150! It is a great size + makes for the perfect flatlay background!
These coffee table books are amazing quality, bound in real leather + are the perfect accent decor elements to add to any space. I honestly want to collect them all! Best part? they are AFFORDABLE!
I am OBSESSED with this pink velvet couch from DHP Furniture! It is girly, fun, comfortable AND retails for under $400!!! Insane right? This couch anywhere else would be $1,000+ so I highly suggest heading to DHPFurniture.com because they have the styles you love for your home at the BEST (and I mean the best) pricing!
The white fuzzy stool was a Burlington find but since it isn’t on their site, I found a similar style available at Target below.
My gorgeous gallery walls were created with the help of Framebridge.com!
Honestly their site makes creating the perfect space easy. They provide step by step tutorials on how to plan out + create the gallery wall of your dreams and when it comes to framing all you do is select the sizing of your piece, pick your preferred frame + Framebridge does the rest! They send you packaging to ship your pieces to them in so this way they handle the framing…and in just a couple of weeks you receive your final framed pieces ready for hanging!
It is that simple! Seriously made creating the ultimate office space that much easier.
This tutorial from them is what I relied on when it came to designing + hanging my pieces!
My shoe + bag display is one of my favorite parts about my office space. Since I was at my last apartment, I desperately wanted a gorgeous space to show off the bags + shoes I have worked so hard to collect over the years. ICYMI – I am a major bag addict. I bought my first Dior bag at 14 with money I earned scooping popcorn at my local movie theater + I never let up on my bag obsession since. Every bag purchase was a milestone. Like my Chanel – my first Chanel, purchased in Paris, my first ever trip out of the country + to the city of love (ugh amazing moment) or my white Gucci soho tote (featured in yesterday’s blog post) that I purchased on Rodeo Drive my first week in LA…every bag has a story + displaying them is like a trip down memory lane every day.
I found the perfect shelves on the cheap from Walmart (hey I love to mix high + low…save my money for bags hehe :p). They retail for under $30 + come in various sizes + colors available daily.
Living on my own has been a challenge ever since leaving NY. Paying rent and utilities, cleaning the apartment (because nothing drives me nuts more than coming home to a messy apartment after a long day at work) and cooking for myself (still a ‘work in progress‘ lol) are things that I am still getting used to day by day.
One thing I do L O V E about living on my own? Decorating my apartment!!! Finally I get to add my personal touches to my ‘home sweet home‘…that’s the best feeling ever! So where have I turned to add some unique finishing touches to my Hollywood apartment? Uncommon Goods!
I love finding pieces that are different from those everyone else has. What is great about Uncommon Goods is the fact that they are just that…Uncommon! I picked a few decor items that would really stand out amongst the rest…first off being this Gummy Bear Light (in my favorite color purple of course). I am such a kid at heart and a gummy bear night light is kinda perfect if you ask me :p
One of my other current favorites from Uncommon Goods? This DIY Cinema Lightbox! In case you weren’t aware, I LOVE going to the movies (mainly for the popcorn :p) but also because my brother is a huge movie buff (wants to be a director one day) and I kinda love getting into debates with him over whether a night a movie is ‘good’ or not 😉 Let’s just say he is a tough critic lol!
Anyways, I think this DIY Cinema Lightbox is so fun and unique! It comes with 72 letters, numbers + symbols to help you spell out various phrases (little pick me ups or cute morning memos etc) and it can be placed on a shelf or hung up on the wall…great for your home, dorm room + beyond! I haven’t seen an item like this anywhere which makes it that much cooler in my book!
And what belongs in a blogger’s apartment more than flowers? (how cliché right? :p) A little reminder that ‘You Are Beautiful‘ duh! I love having cute sayings around the house because they always put a smile on my face. What gal doesn’t want to wake up to seeing ‘You Are Beautiful’?!
This cursive wooden sign comes in two sizes and it is super easy to install on your wall. The sign comes with little square adhesives that have a strong hold and don’t leave marks on your walls (perfect for apartments…one less hole in the wall to patch up at the end of the lease haha :p)
I am still lusting after a bunch of other pieces from Uncommon Goods!
One of my favorite ways to start off the New Year? A little R E F R E S H! Whether it’s adding a little flare to your phone (I am addicted to switching up my phone cases + accessories) or getting some new decor for your office or home, freshening things up for the New Year is a great way to get productive and motivated!
Since moving out and being on my own one thing is for sure — I love interior decor + decorating! One interior decor piece I am currently obsessed with? Throw Pillows! I got my dream white leather couch and these pillows are the best way to accessorize + add a little ‘personality’ to any room! Whether you are a ‘Free Spirit’ or you are a dreamer, ‘Dream Within’ I feel like throw pillows for an interior are just like a pair of shoes or a chic handbag for an outfit — they add a little extra ‘something’!
I love this Under The Canopy pillow because it has some sentimental value…’Dream Within‘. In the spring I dreamed of getting a job in LA and moving out on my own…on a brand new adventure. I ‘dreamed within’ and then my dream came true when I got a social media position at Just Fab (in case you didn’t already know! I get to play around with shoes, bags + clothes all day…pretty fitting for a gal like me right?).
I suppose by up + leaving NY that also makes me a ‘free spirit’ 😉 That’s what my mom says about me anyhow 😛
