500 Days of Summer
Who doesn’t love a good romantic film right? Well this is a romance film with a twist.. This movie will make you realize that not every fairytale has a happy ending. It follows the story of Tom and Summer, who start off their romance like any other “fairytale” but are later exposed to the hardships of love.

If you aren’t a fan of scary movies, you might want to skip this one! This movie will have you at the edge of your seat, all while being a tad bit terrified.. or maybe VERY terrified!
The plot tells the story of a scary book who comes alive and haunts a mother and son, but you’ll have to watch to find out what happens next!

Grab your tissues guys! This movie is about a young girl, who is played by the Academy Award winning actress – Brie Larson! She is held kidnapped by her abuser and eventually has a son, who has never seen anything other than the 4 walls in which he was born. Eventually, they escape and she teaches her son that his life goes beyond a room.
Since 2019 is in full swing, I wanted to kick off the new year with some new year’s intentions of staying on track + keeping organized! I don’t know about you but I am a visual person + even more so, I love writing. Writing things down whether it is a list of things to do, helpful reminders, little notes…they all make me feel organized, clear my head + give me clarity on what I need to accomplish. Nothing is more satisfying to me than making a list of things to do or accomplish + then I cross them off (or highlight them hehe :p) one by one as I complete them. It leaves me feeling a sense of accomplishment along with staying on track to complete my daily, weekly, monthly + yearly goals!
One of my favorite brands for all things organization is Erin Condren. I had the pleasure of meeting her over the summer for the launch of her collab with Oh Joy + when I got my hands on her colorful planners + accessories I instantly become OBSESSED.
♥All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.♥
It feels like it was just yesterday that we were in Disney World on vacation to celebrate my birthday, our anniversary + an early Valentine’s Day. We laughed, we cried (jk def no crying at Disney World haha :p) + we had the absolute best time!
ICYMI – I am a total Disney lover + kid at heart. Before heading to the park, I rounded up some of my favorite Disney styles + picks (great for your next Disney World or Disney Land trip). From the spectacular shows, to awesome rides, to tasty treats, to fun character moments, I LOVE going to Disney World + luckily my boyfriend + I have been making it our little tradition for the past two years!
Since we have become somewhat of Disney pros hehe :p I wanted to share some of my favorite parts of the various parks, exciting moments you won’t want to miss + so much more!
I would say my favorite parks are hands down Hollywood Studios + Magic Kingdom, we always spend the majority of our time at those because they have the best rides, experiences + photo moments!
One of my favorite parts of Disney World this time that was finally open when we were there this time was Toy Story Land at Hollywood Studios! I LOVE Toy Story (the little green aliens are my obsession hehe) so I couldn’t wait to check out the built out area that was a replica of Andy’s backyard (toys + all)!
Last year one of my favorite rides at Hollywood Studios was ‘Toy Story Mania‘ which is basically a ride + arcade game all in one! My boyfriend + I love arcade games and love a little friendly competition, so this ride is the perfect combination of both. It is a 4D ride where you go against your partner to shoot at different objects from plates to balloons with an interactive shooter in your ride cart (let me just tell ya it is quite the arm workout hehe :p). Every time we went on it, I went on planning to win but my boyfriend always won (I need to practice before next year’s trip hehe).
While I loved ‘Toy Story Mania‘, we couldn’t wait to go on the new ‘Slinky Dog Dash‘ (we saw them building it last year when we visited so to be able to go on it this year was super exciting)! Imagine soaring through Andy’s backyard on a roller coaster made from Slinky Dog…it is beyond fun! We went on it probably 5 times while we were there – definitely worth the over hour wait!
I always love the rides at Hollywood Studios but the treats + souvenirs are also a favorite of mine. I saw the green alien popcorn pail all over social media + couldn’t wait to get my hands on it when we arrived – it was probably my favorite purchase we made at the park haha! My boyfriend made the alien voice everywhere we went saying ‘OOOHH The Claw‘ (Toy Story 2 reference) so it made our trip even more fun. We even brought the little guy along with us on the new ‘Alien Swirling Saucers‘ ride (also at Hollywood Studios in Toy Story Land).
While we didn’t spend too much time at Epcot or Animal Kingdom, we did love one ride in particular at Animal Kingdom…’Expedition Everest‘! It is a high speed roller coaster where you are trying to escape a scary Yeti (although I find Yeti’s kinda adorable hehe – we even bought a cute one in the gift shop after going on the ride multiple times).
I love seeing all of the nature + animals at Animal Kingdom but next time we definitely want to check out all of the Avatar related rides + the night show (we didn’t plan ahead with those + the wait times were 2+ hours).
ICYMI – Disney World has Fast Pass+where you can book 3 Fast Passes a day for one park up to 30 days in advance of your visit! It is a really awesome feature so you can assure to get on the rides you want with little to no wait times (we used them for a lot of the Toy Story Land attractions). After you use up your 3 passes for one day you can book passes 1 by one for the same park you are at or a different park.
We always opt to get Park Hoppers for each day we go so we can ‘hop‘ around from park to park! We like to spend the day at one park + then experience the different end of night shows at the various parks.
While I love the rides at Disney World, some of my favorite experiences are the parades, shows + fireworks at the end of the night! They always excite me + really make you feel like you are experiencing the magic of Disney!
My favorite shows are Fantasmic at Hollywood Studios. It is a combination of water effects, fireworks, Mickey performing + so much more…it is truly an incredible experience and it is one show I highly recommend you don’t miss when visiting!
For Star Wars fans while the new Galaxy Edge section of the park won’t be open till fall 2019, you can check out the Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular. It happens every evening and is a combination of clips from the movies projected in the middle of the park with special effects like fire + fireworks – it truly is remarkable.
At Magic Kingdom their ‘Happily Ever After‘ show is truly a fairytale moment! I get so emotional + even cry during it hehe :p Tears of joy of course haha!
The show has clips from tons of Disney movies highlighting love, friendship + the magic that is in your heart if you just believe.
I am also a huge fan of Magic Kingdom, One because of Cinderella’s Castle (of course) but because of how every time I take photos in front of it, I feel like a Disney princess. I planned for months on what I was going to wear for the trip, ordered special Minnie Mouse Ears, apparel + so much more to really embrace the Disney magic.

♥The Holiday season is in full swing + we all know what that means…time to share some sweet memories♥
I LOVE the holiday season, not just because of the festive decor, music + yummy treats, but because it is the season of giving. While presents are great, one of the best gifts are gifts made with love + from the heart..so naturally I show my love for my family + friends through baking…yummy gingerbread cookies of course!
Whether you are trying to think of what to gift your family, friends, or just about anyone…I always feel baked treats coming from the heart are always a great idea. The one struggle with gifting baked goods for the holidays is how to gift them! What are you going to wrap them in? How can you find a way to gift them that is practical but also festive? Well…I am pretty sure I found a solution – Rubbermaid® TakeAlongs®.
We baked and designed some gingerbread cookies over the Thanksgiving holiday and began spreading the joy (and sweetness) early by gifting our creations to our friends, coworkers + neighbors. We sealed them up in the Rubbermaid® TakeAlongs® that are for a limited time only in festive holiday colors like green, red + gold available at your local Walmart (my go-to) place to shop for everything Holiday!
TakeAlongs® holiday containers are perfect to take on-the-go to holiday gatherings, cookie swaps, or for gifting baked goods. This year we plan on doing a cookie swap with some of our close friends (some gingerbread swapping to see who gets the most creative). What is great about TakeAlongs® is that they come in a variety of sizes so they can fit all types of baked goods from cookies, to cupcakes, to brownies, to cake + more! Another awesome thing about TakeAlongs® is that although they come in festive holiday colors, they are translucent enough so you can get a peek at your treats when gifting or swapping!
