Disney Wedding planning is underway and with all of the uncertainty currently happening in the world one of the parts of wedding planning I was most looking forward to was finding my dream dress! I am beyond excited to share that Demetrios Bridal reached out to me to help me find my dream gown and let me tell you they didn’t disappoint! Prior to my appointment Demetrios Bridal let me know they were doing a Trunk Show at one of their stockists, Mon Amie Bridal in Costa Mesa, CA so I decided now was the time to try on some gorgeous dresses and find the ‘ONE‘!
Prior to my appointment I sent over some of my favorite styles from the Demetrios Bridal website over to the team to assure they had those top picks of mine at Mon Amie Bridal. Since I am having a Disney Wedding at Walt Disney World I knew I wanted a princess style dress…a ball gown with tulle and some embroidery and sparkle…something that felt like Cinderella so I was beyond excited when I got to Mon Amie Bridal with my bridesmaids in tow to begin trying on some gorgeous gowns!
The team at Mon Amie Bridal was beyond sweet + helpful, they had dresses perfect for a Disney Wedding from Demetrios already pulled and they all were flawless so it was quite a tough decision. Here’s a look at some of my favorites I tried on that made me feel like an angel!
The dresses were all so beautiful and it was a surreal moment to actually step into some of these gorgeous gowns. I definitely shed some tears + got pretty emotional. My maid of honor facetimed with my dad in NY so he could give his opinion and it was fun to get a guy’s perspective haha But he cried and we experienced all sorts of emotions thinking about me walking down the aisle.
What I love about Demetrios Bridal is that their gowns feel so unique, special + feminine which is exactly what I was looking for…something dreamy, magical + one of a kind. Demetrios can even customize the dress to my liking which I am so excited about because I am going to add some pretty sleeve detailing to the style I chose (which you will have to see when I walk down the aisle).
The entire Demetrios Bridal collection is impeccable…whether you are looking for a ball gown or an A-line or a mermaid style etc. They create gorgeous dresses for every type of bride which is what made me feel so at ease when picking and choosing different styles.
It was so fun to also add a veil and bouquet when trying on the gowns…it really helped me envision what I would look like on my big day. I am still deciding on my veil but I did pick my dress that day after trying on a variety of styles…it was a tough decision but I went with a gorgeous ball gown which I can’t wait to share with you all!
A big thank you to Demetrios Bridal for helping me find my dream dress and Mon Amie Bridal Salon for the amazing experience for my dress try on! All photography shot by Vanessa Hicks Photography.
I’m back to reality this week after spending a magical week in Orlando at Disney World to kick off the fall season as part of #DisneyCreators! I had the amazing opportunity to hang with other influencers + experience everything new for Halloween at Walt Disney World Resort from new merchandise to tasty treats to spooky decor + more. There were so many favorites so here’s a few Halloween highlights I wanted to share with y’all!
One of my favorite parts of Halloween at Disney World are the festive decorations. Nothing makes me happier than seeing Mickey pumpkins line Main Street and this year they are back in full force along with fall leaves and adorable signage.
Since there are no character meet + greets currently at Disney World as part of their safety guidelines for COVID, there are fun character cavalcades that go around the parks at various times throughout the day. I loved the Halloween ones at Magic Kingdom like the one with Winnie the Pooh and friends dressed up in Halloween costumes or the Nightmare Before Christmas float complete with spooky music from the movie + more! This was one of my favorite parts of Magic Kingdom to keep the spooky spirit alive and well.
You know I love stocking up on new Disney merch and the new goodies didn’t disappoint from Spirit Jerseys to Popcorn buckets to Ears to Plushes, Decor + more…I love all the spooky must haves and definitely stocked up on a ton from ShopDisney and from WDW!
Villain Clue was a must have + I couldn’t wait to buy it and I can’t wait to play it!
OK, other than stocking up on merch you know one of my favorite things to enjoy during Halloween at Disney World are the yummy treats! From desserts to drinks to savory snacks + more, Disney never disappoints when it comes to the food! One of my favs? The Pumpkin Spice Milkshake – how cute is it?
I also LOVED the Pumpkin Spiced Waffle Sundae + Orange and Black Sugar Churros. Honestly all the food is way to yummy! Full food roundup on the Disney Parks Blog!
While there are more safety precautions in place this time around, it didn’t make the experience any less magical, in fact smaller crowds, more opportunities for photos + short lines for rides + food! It was pretty magical if you ask me!
P.S. I made it to the Disney Parks Blog if you want to check it out HERE!
Thank you CreditRepair.com for sponsoring this post. CreditRepair.com’s team understands that a credit score is not just a number; it’s a lifestyle.
Preparation is KEY!
I’m super excited to share one of my best-kept secrets when it comes to preparing ahead for the future…CreditRepair.com! My fiance and I are recently engaged so that means we have a lot of big life milestones coming up: Planning our wedding, Buying a home AND Preparing to start a family! What does this mean? (Other than wow time flies by hehe) It means it’s time to get our credit in check and make sure we have amazing credit scores to make all these major life moments go off without a hitch!
I take really great pride in being financially responsible and savvy. Before meeting my fiance I was always shopping, never saving, and didn’t even think of investing in the future with stocks or retirement etc. Fast forward to now, I save a lot, I always keep in mind what I am spending vs monthly bills and things I owe, and most importantly, I think about what lies ahead.
Since we have so many big purchases coming up I was excited to sign up for CreditRepair.com and to work with their team to make sure my credit is squeaky clean to make those purchases and get the best mortgage and credit rates as possible. If you haven’t heard of CreditRepair.com, they are a leading provider of credit report repair services in the United States, with over 500,000 clients served!
I always pay my bills on time and work hard to keep my credit score high so that is why I was pretty surprised when I began working with my Credit Repair team that they noticed a few hits on my credit that we then came up with a plan to resolve as best as we can. They discovered a collections hit from a medical bill a few years ago that was paid in full but was still a hit on my credit somehow. Naturally, I was freaking out but my CreditRepair.com advisor was amazing and helped me come up with a solution. They reached out to the collections company on my behalf to work to remove the credit hit.
It’s things like that that I never even thought of when planning for my future especially since I check my credit score often and it goes up consistently. This hidden hit is something I never would have been aware of without the amazing help of CreditRepair.com!
Whether you are financially savvy and want to remain on top of your game or if you are struggling to get debt-free and have a successful financial future, CreditRepair.com has awesome resources and a responsive team here to support you on your credit journey! Follow along with my credit journey over the next few months, and stay tuned for an opportunity to start your very own credit journey!
While we are all stuck in quarantine my boo + I have been using this time to cook up some Disney magic with yummy breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks + desserts using…you guessed it, DISNEY kitchen appliances and cook wear! From Mickey shaped waffles to Minnie ice pops to slow cooked dinners + more, ShopDisney has TONS of magical cooking essentials you’ll want to add to your kitchen to keep occupied during quarantine. Sharing some of my favorites below including my Toy Story Alien Popcorn Maker (since popcorn is my favorite snack after all)! 🙂
It’s been a crazy month since I got back from the #DisneyCreators trip! I have begun planning my dream Disney Wedding, Disney has shut down due to Coronavirus + I have been going a little stir crazy at home practicing my best social distancing, so I figured now was as good a time as any to finally recap the entire #DisneyCreators trip!
First let’s start off with a brief overview of what this #DisneyCreators Trip was since I got a lot of questions about it on social media!
The #DisneyCreators Trip was a 8 day trip – 4 days at Walt Disney World + 4 days on the Disney Dream from Disney Cruiseline exclusively for influencers within the Disney creator network. The influencers on the trip were invited by the Disney team and what I thought was so cool is that they invited all different types of influencers who LOVE + post Disney! From mommy bloggers to travel Youtubers to Disney Style fashion influencers like me, it was awesome to meet all different types of creators + make new friends all with a common obsession – DISNEY!
Now that you are familiar with what the trip was let me break down some of my favorite moments of the trip!
First up – Recapping some of the best parts of the Disney World part of the trip based on day (figured that’s the easiest way to review!)♥
We checked in to the brand NEW Riviera Resort that was only 2 months old + beyond amazing! The resort has multiple pools, great dining + a beautiful view. I loved the French Riviera theme and one of my favorite parts of the resort is that they have their own line of merch from exclusive Minnie Ears to Hats to Luggage to Pandora Charms to Plushes, Pins + More! I stocked up on all their plushes which actually match the characters at the character dining experience they have for breakfast + dinner at Topolino’s Terrace! The food is beyond delicious + I love the character’s outfits of course.
After checking in + having breakfast at Topolino’s Terrace we relaxed for a little bit and then I headed to Epcot to kick of the #DisneyCreators Trip with a welcome dinner hosted by Her Universe founder Ashley Eckstein who also plays Ahsoka in multiple Star Wars animated features. The food was delicious, we got to network with other influencers and then explore Epcot a bit before meeting up again for a dessert party later that night! We got to enjoy yummy treats while watching the Epcot Forever Fireworks show!
We started the day by heading to the Contemporary Convention Center for a day filled with informative panels, fun giveaways, sponsorship showcase + more to educate all of us Disney influencers more about upcoming Disney developments, new launches + more!
We got to meet the actor behind the voice of Mickey Mouse, learn more about how TikTok is taking over social media + tons more, it was super helpful, informative and fun.
That night we then headed to Magic Kingdom for some ride time, sweet treats + my favorite fireworks show of all, the Happily Ever After show!
OK, so Day 3 was one of my favorite days at the parks! We kicked things off with an early morning trip to Pandora – The World of Avatar at Animal Kingdom. We got exclusive ride time before the park opened to ride Avatar Flight of Passage which was AMAZING (well worth the wait honestly, I know understand the hype) + Na’vi River Journey which was super fun. We rode the rides, snapped pics + enjoyed a yummy breakfast there in the park!
Later that day we headed to Hollywood Studios (one of my favorite parks at Disney World) + had a private party in Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge! We got to ride the new attraction Rise Of The Resistance which was beyond FUN + hands down the best ride I’ve ever been on and worth the boarding group process to get to ride it.
DAYS 4 + 5
Day 4 was a busy day! We checked out of the Riviera Resort + headed to the Disney Dream part of the Disney Cruise Line. We embarked on a 4 day 3 night cruise to Nassua Bahamas + Castaway Cay! It was my first time ever on a cruise so it was a whole new world for me. Unlimited EVERYTHING – I was in heaven from yummy food to dessert to all the pools + more…I couldn’t get enough of everything. I headed to the Senses Spa on board for a few treatments + relaxed in the Rainforest room that has sauna, jacuzzi + more. There’s tons of entertainment on the ship from adult only clubs to theater to movies…there’s a little something for everyone even kids with the kids club!
After boarding the ship we checked in to our stateroom + began to explore. The first night we had dinner at Animator’s Palate which was my favorite dining on the ship. They had tasty dishes + the interactive characters on screens around the dining area was super fun as well.
The next day we docked in Nassau, Bahamas where you were free to explore the island or go off on excursions to see what the island has to offer. I decided to stay on the ship to explore all the activities, dining, shopping + areas. Fun fact there’s no tax when shopping on the ship! PLUS there are tons of Disney Cruise Line exclusive merch only available on the ship like Minnie Ears, Pandora Charms, Luggage, Purses, Plushes + more…I definitely stocked up.
Day 6 was my favorite day on the cruise because we docked at Castaway Cay, Disney’s own private island! You had the whole day to explore the island which had bars, tons of BBQ, shopping + a family beach and Serenity Bay which was an adult only beach if you wanted a little quiet time.
I loved being able to meet characters too that were in fun island themed outfits + snap some great pics around the island. You can rent kayaks, beach bikes + more if you are on the sporty side! There were also a lot of activities to do as well + the cutest island exclusive merch!
The next day we headed back to shore + then flew home. It was honestly one of the best experiences I’ve ever had – I bought so much merch, ate so much yummy food + took way too many pictures hehe :p
