Last night I had the pleasure of helping to fight cancer with other blogging fashionistas at Chelsea Piers in NYC by creating DIY turbans! While I am far from artsy or crafty, I figured if it helps fight cancer I’m on board!
IFB and the Fashion Fights Cancer organization brought a bunch of bloggers together to make and create turbans. Yes, needle and thread status. Buttons, fabric, ribbon and more…these turbans became quite ‘unique’…especially mine which I have to admit I am to embarrassed to share :p!
So I know I typically write about my favorite trends for the season, what I’m wearing and where to score the best deals and steals, but I decided to finally embrace ‘WCW’ also known as Woman Crush Wednesday by doing a weekly post of my various girl crushes…in a role model way…not sexual way duh! 😉
I decided to start with Amy Schumer. If you don’t know who Amy is, boy are you in for a surprise. She is a comedian who truly speaks her mind, doesn’t give a fuck and is the epitome of an open book when it comes to her life. I had the pleasure of meeting Amy back when I was an intern at Howard Stern, in which she told a male intern he quote “looks like a rapist”….yup that’s Amy.
Nothing makes a stylish statement quite like a stunning necklace and a chic clutch. While at Lucky Fabb in Beverly Hills, I scored tons of swag…some of which I shared with my fab readers in a giveaway and some goodies like this necklace and clutch I had to selfishly keep for myself 😉
The clutch is from a designer named Susu who was a totally sweetie when I met her at Lucky Fabb and this statement piece is from ShopPrimaDonna.com…and boy do they have some amazing jewels at great prices, I kinda fell in love when I checked out their site! <3
