It’s #ThrowbackThursday everyone which gives me the fair and equal right to share this look that was shot back in August with you guys today 😉 (I love how #TBT makes it ok to share old things and make them new…don’t you?!) Ok so let’s get down to business because I am writing this while cracking up hysterical at George Lopez on WWHL (such a Bravo addict…#SorryNotSorry) and need to attempt to get some R & R to properly function at work (insert monkey emoji covering it’s eyes here lol)I love everything about this look because it is truly ‘Missy’ in a nutshell…it’s girly, includes my favorite white boyfriend blazer, my signature Rebecca Minkoff mini mac bag and of course…a skater skirt!My white boyfriend blazer is from LC By Lauren Conrad but I found an identical blazer on sale for under $30 at SheInside here. Any excuse to wear a skirt is fine by me…especially one with a flirty print like this polka dot one (available from Choies here).My Rebecca Minkoff mini mac bag is another one of my signature “go to’s” when I am ~~unsure~~ of what to wear for a date, a girls’ night or even just to run errands. And…with a good bag comes even better shoes…enter these NYLA beauties (available on my Poshmark here). They are cute, unique and show off my pedicure (here’s to warm weather wishing…I ~~can’t~~ wear these beauties for a while!)On a side note…I am not ~~enjoying~~ this freezing cold weather…when I look at outfits like this it makes me miss summer more and more…sigh.| Click To Shop My Look |

New Year…New Post!

Well let me first start off by saying ‘Happy New Year‘! Crazy how we are starting a blank page in a new 365 page book (yes, I saw that quote all over instagram and had to incorporate it somehow into my first New Year post). It’s time for a New Year and a New outfit post…naturally I chose to show off an outfit shot in 2014 in slightly warmer weather (although I insist on wearing skirts year round…even when it is snowing out…I have no shame)! So here’s to an awesome outfit to kick off 2015…a maroon moment!I love rocking a floppy hat especially one that matches my suede booties. A maroon floppy hat is something I tend to get a lot of use out of because it’s the slight pop of color and much needed accessory any outfit requires to stand out. Plus this one is on sale from TopShop for Nordstrom here.My floral kimono cardigan came from a local Long Island boutique but I found a similar one from Urban Outfitters here (and for $50 it’s a total steal). As for my maroon skater skirt I found a similar one at Nordstrom as well for under $30 here.This watch has been one of my favorite goodies sent to me in the year 2014…this Caravelle NY watch is one of my go to’s in my daily line up and it is simple, chic and goes with everything…total must have.I haven’t rocked my Rebecca Minkoff Mini MAB Tote in a while because I always go straight to my ‘Affair Bag’ or my ‘Mini Mac Bag’ but now that I’ve worn it again I think you will be seeing a lot more of it in the new year! And last but not least…the shoes. I bought these maroon suede Calvin Klein booties over a year ago and I found them again at Lord & Taylor for just $32! New Year’s Eve…

The time has come for the last blog post of 2014 and I can’t believe that it has now been a year and a half since I initially began blogging! 2014 has truly been a roller coaster ride for me from a new career path to stepping up my blogging game to meeting tons of new people…2014 has pushed me outside of my comfort zone and has truly been a stepping stone leading to my soon to be empire 😉 (wishful thinking :p)In true ‘cliche‘ blogger fashion as my brother would like to say haha (my brother is quite the spit fire by the way and also writes a blog of his own ‘Pop Culture Died In 2009‘) we did a fun glitter filled photo shoot to ring in the New Year in style! It took a good 40 shots to snap the perfect pic of me blowing sequins/glitter…I don’t know how all the other bloggers do it but hey the outtakes are always funny as well 😉 I love to make a statement especially on a holiday so today’s head to toe look is pure glamour…but first…the aftermath of my sequin frenzy…sequins EVERYWHERE!These Gucci Swavorski Crystal Heels are actually available in my Poshmark closet now and are absolutely stunning! I received them as a gift over a year ago and have yet to find somewhere to wear them…so why not rock them for New Year’s Eve (just the shoot that is…no way can I ruin these babies at a club lol!)My go to party and night out bag is the Rebecca Minkoff Affair Bag available here. It is simple, chic and fits all of your essentials (the perfect NYE bag to fit roll up flats, lip gloss + more)Now to break down the rest of my party girl look. This shaggy pink coat is a piece I fell in love with the second I spotted it. I may not of had somewhere to wear it to but I knew I simply HAD to have it 😉 (available on my Poshmark here)To match the pink shaggy coat I decided a chic beaded skirt was a must. While I couldn’t find a skirt identical to mine, I found two similar options from Saks Off Fifth and Urban Outfitters here + here.I also needed a slight pop of color…so this Kate Spade necklace did just the trick:

Missy wish you a Merry Christmas, Missy wish you a Merry Christmas, Missy wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Merry Christmas loves! I couldn’t wait to share today’s Christmas look with you all and also share some exciting news about a Christmas gift that arrived to me a little early!First let me start by saying I hope you are all enjoying the Holiday season with your closest family and friends. I am currently sitting at home in pjs (yes we open presents in pajamas and then I beautify later or at least I try to…if I conquer up the energy to do so haha!). Usually every Christmas follows this agenda 1) Wake up and open presents 2) Have breakfast (typically my mom will make pancakes…if not cereal it is!) 3) My brother and I go to the movies (did I mention that I am half jewish and half catholic so naturally being partially jewish warrants me to go to the movies on Christmas!) and 4) Delicious feast that mama duke cooks to perfection…followed by me feeling like I am about to explode and the urge to hit the gym all at the same time haha So let me break down this festive little look which can also be worn for New Year’s…so crazy to think we are simple days away from a new year, a new you and some new adventures…2015 here I come! My bling and nails are as follows:

My Rebecca Minkoff ‘Mini Mac’ in red is the perfect ‘Pop Of Color’ for the Holiday season and it is a bag I wear year round whenever I feel like standing out.My white cable knit sweater is from Old Navy and it is a MUST for every gal this season. Dress it up with a metallic skirt like I did here or dress it down with some jeans or leather leggings (PS those two combos are coming soon to the blog)…however you wear it, a white cable knit sweater will never go out of style (AND it is on sale now!)I couldn’t find the ~~exact~~ skirt I am wearing here online because it was a TJ Maxx maxxinista find 😉 But I did find some fabulous options (all on sale) here, here + here.Ok, now the moment you have all been waiting for…what was my early Christmas gift that is sure to make 2015 the best year yet? Well it wasn’t placed under my tree so it won’t be opening and instagrammed (but don’t worry my other presents will…follow along on instagram @MissyOnMadison). Starting in the new year, I will be the new social media guru for Kleinfelds Bridal…YES, I said Yes to the Dress and I Do to Kleinfelds! I am SUPER excited to embark on this new journey and I can’t wait to share my experiences with you all of course! Do you guys watch ‘Say Yes To The Dress’ or have your future wedding Pinterest boards in the works? It is something I will be on top of 24/7 with this new career and I can’t wait to drool over the gorgeous gowns, fabulous brides and of course…the rom-com stories coming to life and being shared with you! Candy Cane…

Tis’ the season to dress like a favorite holiday time treat…a candy cane of course! I instantly fell in love with this ensemble the second I slipped into it and decided that it was a total ‘Holiday‘ must! Who doesn’t love to dress up like a candy cane for Christmas? Now they won’t just be hanging on the tree…but also in your closet 😉 Now that’s what I’d like to call…sweet! It’s the next look up in my ‘Holiday Dressing’ guide…you can see previous looks here, here + here.Before breaking down the look I wanted to just say I hope you all had a fabulous ‘Pre-Christmas’ weekend! I got some holiday shopping done (which ~~may~~ have included some gift giving to myself…oops) and I also checked out a ‘Holiday Light Spectacular’ on Long Island…if you’d like to follow my holiday adventures follow me on instagram at @MissyOnMadison (P.S. I based my whole look around a simple red and white striped scarf (the one I am wearing is from Old Navy and is ~~no longer available~~) but I found similar options (that are on sale of course) here + here.After the scarf came into play…the rest of the outfit just fell into place. Old Navy always has a great selection of solid sweaters that can be worn for any occasion, so I grabbed this white scoop neck sweater on sale for under $20! (Great last minute gift idea ladies and gents!)I’ve had this red faux leather skirt for over a year now and I honestly can’t remember where I snagged it but I found a similar one from BCBG at 6pm.com on sale here!As if the skirt wasn’t enough red…add on one of my favorite styles from Rebecca Minkoff…the ‘mini affair bag‘! Zappos has it on sale now with free shipping here.I decided to go simple with the shoes (couldn’t add any more red…would have been a bit much…don’t ya think?!) So nude patent leather pumps are always chic and are an essential for every fashionista’s wardrobe. The ones I found on sale are from Michael Kors and they also have a ‘flex’ foot bed to add extra comfort for the woman on the go!Stay tuned for a last minute gift guide tomorrow…don’t worry everyone procrastinates (even me!)
