Day To Night…

TGIF Lovers! I’m happy to share a new ‘Day To Night’ transition look today because 9 out of 10 times the first thing I’m doing after a long day at work is heading to happy hour or a little dinner with the girls. When rushing around (especially in NYC) or even Long Island for that matter, I sometimes don’t have time to change into something different than what I wore earlier in the day…case and point, this outfit here 🙂I love everything about this look head to toe because I feel comfortable, confident and sexy in it all at the same time…something that not every outfit could provide. While everyone typically opts for a traditional black blazer for a day at the office or even a night out, I always love to think outside the box and rock white. This white boyfriend blazer is the perfect fit and can go from day to night…what’s better than that.To add even more color I wore a cropped purple cami like this one. It is a nice silk material and looks like a professional blouse when worn under a blazer so it is office appropriate or happy hour ready. While black distressed skinny jeans are ok for casual Friday in some offices, I know they aren’t widely accepted everywhere so an easy fix is to just rock non-distressed black skinny jeans like these (on sale now at Banana Republic) or black skinny dress pants like these…if you can do distressed I highly suggest these ones from TopShop.My bling is simple and layered…just the way I like it. Not too much for the board room yet trendy enough for an early evening outing. While both pieces are no longer available at their perspective retailers, I found a simple elephant necklace here + horizontal bar necklace here. It’s not too small but not too big…it’s just right 😉 My shoes are not Valentino Rockstud Pumps although they look pretty similar! Happy Humpday Lovers! I am having a slight princess moment today with this outfit post. I love to switch up my shooting locations from time to time but this little spot (which is far from little by the way) is a modern day castle on Long Island…the Vanderbilt Museum and Mansion. The museum and grounds are gorgeous and house a planetarium and a marine museum (currently under construction) in addition to the beautiful architecture and landscape. Everytime I visit, I dream of one day living on such a palacial estate (hey a girl can dream right?) In addition to dreaming of living at this mansion, another dream of mine was played out in this post…wearing a ‘runway’ collection, except it isn’t from the tents at NYFW but rather the Elle Runway Collection from Kohls! My J’adore sweater and printed pencil skirt are both from this collection and I layered an LC By Lauren Conrad blazer over them.My shoes are Valentino Rockstud inspired pumps (so yes, I will continue to dream about owning the real ones…this post is all about dreams I suppose). Orange Is The New Black…

Happy Friday & Happy Halloween Loves! In honor of our favorite sweet trick or treat holiday, I had to rock the traditional orange and black 😉 To be even more cliche, I had to head over to the pumpkin patch for some fall festivities and maybe to find the perfect pumpkin to make a Jack-O-Lantern out of! Let’s break down the look…my black faux fur vest is from Karen Kane but I found a similar one from Express here. I feel every gal needs a simple black faux fur vest for fall…dress it up, dress it down…either way you will stay nice and cozy.These black distressed jeans are not only comfortable but once again can be worn for almost ANY occasion…Flying Monkey makes a great pair here. Had to also rock the orange blouse again…twice in one week oh my…see how I styled it earlier in the week here.I love my Rebecca Minkoff mini mac bag…I have it in a few different colors and I’m pretty sure it will be worn tonight for whatever the Halloween night may bring! Black suede boots are always a necessity for fall.
