I am so excited to be on vacation! I have had a whirlwind of a year so taking time to relax, unwind + disconnect has been much needed. My boyfriend + I are away in Florida to celebrate my birthday + our anniversary so to get in a tropical state of mind I wanted to share some of my favorite tropical print dresses that I will be rocking on my trip!
These photos were taken before I started Jenny Craig – crazy what a difference this program has made in my life…I have lost over 40 pounds + truly feel so much better than I did when I was shooting these images 😉
Anyways, I can’t remember exactly where I got this tropical print dress but I found a few similar styles I am linking to below:
I paired my tropical print dress with a fun straw + pom pom designed clutch – I will definitely be wearing this when heading out to beach front dinners etc. Also, loving these hot pink ankle strap heels that really ‘POP‘ + make a statement when paired with a nice tan.
I am loving this clutch – I think it is a fun accessory to bring on vacation – the pom pom detailing gives me all the feel good vibes + the straw material matches with every ensemble!
If you are looking for more travel inspo I linked to some HERE.
Even though it is only a 4 day work week, this week has been jam packed, making me crave summer pool days + BBQ hehe :p Since I am still in a summer state-of-mind I decided to share a fun look back at one of my easy breezy summer looks (pre-weight loss) that I will wear well into the fall. Whoever said you can’t wear white after Labor Day has it all wrong if you ask me hehe :p
I have always loved wearing white year round. While I know black makes you appear slimmer + is easier to style, I find white to be crisp, clean + classy (unless you are messy from time to time like me haha then it’s not always a classy moment).
I love a simple white dress + I lived in this one from Shop Dress Up all season long. While this dress is no longer available on their site, I linked to some similar ruffle white dresses below!
Because I love white on white on white, I had to style this White Beachwood Handbag from Miss Lola with my look. I love this bag because it fits the Cult Gaia trend but retails for a fraction of the price (under $100).
I am beyond obsessed with these black espadrille wedges from Shop The Mint. You can style these wedges with jeans, dresses, skirts + more well into the fall (plus they are SUPER comfortable).
If you aren’t a wedge person, I highly recommend you reconsider 😉 Comfort + height in one shoe?! Count me in!
I am keeping today’s post short + sweet + straight to the point…White After Labor Day is most certainly a ‘thing‘!
Living in a D R E A M…because this coat is beyond warm + fuzzy so it feels like I am living on cloud nine ♥
Funny enough it has been pretty chilly in LA so I have been getting a lot of use out of this coat that I originally got to wear in London when visiting my boo. I thought it was marshmallow chic haha or a teddy bear coat but instead my bf named me WAMPA because of it. I had absolutely no clue what the hell a wampa was (apparently a Star Wars reference) but because of this coat my new nickname was born so now my bf calls me wampa (even if I am not wearing this oversized fuzzy coat) haha :p
I am obsessed with this coat (and apparently so is everyone else) because I have been seeing fuzzy teddy bear coats everywhere! They aren’t just stylish but also quite warm + cozy.
I paired it with a simple v neck nude bodysuit (great item to have in your closet since it matches with everything) + my favorite SPANX leather leggings (that help suck in your tummy – they are great)!!
What accessory pulls every outfit together? SUNNIES! I have been wearing these Diff Eyewear sunnies left + right (I just can’t get enough of them). What I love about Diff Eyewear is their endless selection as well as their charitable initiatives – shopping + feeling good about it is something I am a big fan of 🙂
What other accessories pull a look together?A great bag! This Louis Vuitton Toiletry Pouch doubles as a great clutch.
My leopard heels are sold out but I am linking to similar heels below (all at an affordable price point).
The first few days back at the office after a long holiday weekend are always tough…that’s why I had to take a mini blog break the past few days since I needed to A) Open all of my Black Friday + Cyber Monday packages (which was a TON) hehe + B) Catch up on some sweat sessions after a turkey filled weekend! Funny enough, it doesn’t feel like winter time here in LA…it was actually like 85 degrees on Thanksgiving + I have been melting ever since. So what is a gal to do when she wants to rock some of her favorite cozy fall styles without the bitter cold weather? Style them with a skirt, duh!
Tobi.com has become my go-to for key pieces to add to your wardrobe over the past few months. From cozy sweaters like this cowl neck one to nude booties I will be rocking all season long…Tobi has everything I need to transition from fall to winter + any temperatures (from warm LA to cold London…these pieces will be life savers).
If you ask me, a cozy cowl neck sweater is always a good idea. Whether you style it with jeans, leggings or a skirt like I did here, they are bound to keep you looking chic while keeping you warm + toasty as well.
I opted to style it with a faux leather skirt since LA is too warm for pants at the moment haha So a skirt it is!
P.S. this outfit is great for family gatherings as well!
My sunnies are from Diff Eyewear – I am truly obsessed with their sunnies because they look like Raybans but at half the price! Plus, they work with a bunch of influencers + celebrities to create capsule collections that are too stylish to pass up. These ones come in various colors and are under $100!
My booties are again from Tobi.com + come in black as well… they are on sale now for just $28!!! I call that a steal! Get on it ladies 🙂
My Gucci mini bag is a favorite going out bag of mine AND it makes for a great first investment bag since it matches with everything + is under $1,000. See more of my favorite designer bags for under $1,000 HERE!
Finally, a Monday I am excited about! I don’t know about you, but a three day work week sounds beyond thrilling if you ask me hehe :p I spent the weekend putting together some amazing gift guides for ya’ll – ICYMI check them out HERE + I began putting together some great looks for the holiday season! One look I shared last week is perfect for Thanksgiving with friends or family + today’s look is another great option for Thanksgiving wear as well.
I will be staying in LA for Turkey Day this year…which gives me extra time to take advantage of some great Black Friday + Cyber Monday steals + deals (which are starting even earlier this year, leaving more time to shop)! I will put together a full guide by Thursday so you can shop after your yummy feast (oh how I love turkey + stuffing).
One Black Friday / Cyber Monday sale I am excited to shop is Old Navy’s! While I am not sure of what their promo will be yet – it is always a good one year after year. Old Navy has been one of my favorite go-to stores for head to toe style at an affordable price point for years now. Whether it is their chic outerwear, on trend shoes or cozy knits + sweaters, Old Navy always has what I am looking for…including what to wear for the holiday season or how they like to call it, HoliYAYs!
One of my current favorites of the season is this fall fresh look I put together thanks to great styles at Old Navy.
I have always been ‘mad for plaid‘ so when I spotted this plaid button down top in a soft washed fabric I knew I needed it! What I love about this blouse is that you can wear it various ways. Since I decided to pair it with this suede button up skirt, I felt tying it in the front would add a little ‘somethin somethin‘ to the look 😉
I also styled it loose with a pair of jeans + heeled booties (stay tuned for that look). This skirt is something I typically wouldn’t have went for but I decided to give it a shot + I am so glad I did! It comes in maroon, navy + a camel hue – all great options for fall occasions + get-togethers.
Velvet is all the rage this season! From dresses, to bags, to blouses + even shoes…this material is my favorite since it is festive for the holidays + is so chic to style.
I’ve always felt that Old Navy had the best selection of ‘on trend’ shoes for an affordable price, and these velvet ankle strap sandals are no exception. These babies are under $35 + come in maroon, black + leopardprint. Style them with jeans, skirts, dresses + more…the best part? They are comfortable!!
Since I always like to throw in a designer bag with my look to mix + match high and low, I paired this look with my Chanel.
These sunnies retail for under $100 + come in various colors…plus they are amazing quality! From Khloe Kardashian to Jessie James Decker, Diff Eyewear has partnered with the top trend setters to create stylish capsule collections that have sunnies you’ll legit drool over (I sure am haha) 🙂
