♥ New Year…New + Improved Missy ♥
I know the whole ‘New Year, New Me‘ thing is a tad cliche but when you are actually taking steps to make a New YOU happen, I find it is totally justified + exciting. ICYMI – for the past 6 months I have been on the Jenny Craig Rapids Results program to loose my goal weight of 80 pounds! When I started this journey I thought it was nearly impossible to reach that goal but after seeing results within a month of being on the program, I became a full on believer!
For years I struggled with my weight. Whether it was binge eating, eating junk like fast food (oh Chick-Fil-A…you taste so good but as my favorite shark from Shark Tank Kevin O’leary likes to say…a moment on the lips, a lifetime on the hips haha) or simply not taking care of myself, I was 26 and felt like although I was happy with my career + personal life, I didn’t like the girl I saw in the mirror. For a gal who is constantly taking photos + putting herself out there for the world to see, I was able to tell when I gained weight + although no one else was saying anything, I finally said to myself ‘It’s time to get myself together + loose some weight‘.
Now I have tried dieting + working out for years but it wasn’t till I joined Jenny Craig that I felt I could actually take control, get the results I want + not be miserable while doing it! Whether it was Keto or no carb or cleansing, those diets made me feel like a cranky gal (and my BF was not having it haha :p), so what I truly love about Jenny Craig is the fool proof plan for success + delicious food.
Jenny Craig makes loosing weight easy. When you sign up, you tell them your goals, your food preferences etc + they work with you to set you on track for success. Any given week, I get to eat pizza, cheesecake, mac & cheese, waffles + more (yea…no joke, the food is SO SO good)! In the past I felt like I was depriving myself of the food I craved, but now I don’t have those cravings anymore. Was there an initial struggle? Heck Yeah! To be honest my second month I was sad + said to my BF all I want is to go to the movies + have popcorn…luckily my BF being the supportive guy he is said NO. He said I will be mad now but later on when I hit my goal I will be thankful, and he is 100% right.
When I look at myself in the mirror now or in photos, I feel confident + pretty. I see the gal I want to be + I see a gal who can accomplish anything. No crazy workouts, no fad diets, no depriving myself…just following the Jenny Craig Rapids Results program has helped me reach my halfway mark for my weight loss journey – I am now down 40 pounds!!
What is awesome about the Jenny Craig Rapid Results program is that if you follow the program (just the menu, no workout necessary), on average you’ll have weight loss of 1-2 lbs. /week. How great is that?!
I am still in disbelief when I look at myself in the mirror + now when we go to the movies I bring my Jenny Craig popcorn with me + feel like a winner. Sure, some days I just want to head to the drive thru or eat chinese food or something loaded with calories but then I look in the mirror + say to myself…this feels way too good to give up + cheat 🙂
