Suit Up…

Happy Wednesday Loves! I love putting unexpected pieces together to create awesome looks…as my mom likes to say I put things together that look ‘weird’. Well while it may be weird to some, it’s fashion to me 😉 That’s what personal style is all about! I also attempted to put my hair up for a photo…I was digging it till my brother aka my photographer simply said ‘no’ while shaking his head…so the hair down it is.While I love denim shorts for a great casual look, I thought, why not dress them up with a simple white blouse and a crisp white blazer for a sophisticated look? Well here it is! To snazz up the white and denim basics, I paired my look with one of my obsessions, the Louis Vuitton Speedy Bag (I have two…both monogrammed with my initials…I may or may not have a slight designer addiction). Did you know that Louis Vuitton monograms all of their bags for free in store? Yea, I discovered this years after buying mine and they still did it for me! Now that’s customer service!My shoes were sent to me from Carolinna Espinosa. I love these sandals because of the thick block heel…we know what that means, comfortable! They are called the ‘Allentown‘ sandal and they are available now at Nordstrom.My white blazer is from my favorite line of blazers…LC By Lauren Conrad. Seriously all of her blazers fit me perfectly…I have yet to find another brand that suits me so well. The denim shorts? Abercrombie! Their shorts always fit me perfect…pretty surprising considering I’m not a 16 year old girl which is usually who wears their clothes, but hey I think Abercrombie is stepping up their game! My simple white printed blouse is from Old Navy (probably a clearance find…I never spend regular price there! I always find a coupon or a deal when it comes to Old Navy).Shop My Look <3

Happy Humpday Loves! I’m already having a fabulous week and I am especially loving this New York weather! Yesterday I opted for a casual and comfy look while I visited the newly named ‘Anna Wintour Costume Institute’ ‘Beyond Fashion’ exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art & as if that wasn’t cool enough, my brother and I went to a taping of ‘Inside The Actor’s Studio’ featuring my #WCW (Woman Crush Wednesday…duh!) Mariska Hargitay AKA Olivia Benson from Law & Order SVU…my guilty pleasure <3 I’m having a ‘Shop Genius’ moment from Nordstrom Rack. I love a simple chambray top, especially this button down that I paired with an olive cami and white shorts from Abercrombie (which are from high school by the way…score for me, the gym is paying off!). My number one go to accessory for a day in the Big Apple is my Louis Vuitton Neverfull tote and some chic sunnies. I LOVE this bag…it’s huge enough to fit everything including the kitchen sink (which knowing me may end up in my bag haha!) and it’s classic and simple. I like adding a little edge to any look with some great aviators like these ones! My shoes are an oldie but a goodie. I bought these straw smoking slippers from…drum roll please…NY & Company over two years ago! I absolutely love these shoes, by the way NY & Company has killer shoes and they are affordable…YES! Smoking slippers are an easy way to dress up a casual ensemble…I feel like they tie a look together sometimes better than a pair of sandals can. When I’m having a simple, care free day I go for simple jewelry like my signature gold and diamonds ‘M’ initial necklace which I received from my grandmother when I was younger, but I found a similar one from Nadri at Nordstrom that I love as well 🙂 Hope you love this casual look as much as I do! Happy Easter Sunday to all of those who celebrate! It’s finally starting to feel and look like spring here in New York, however I’m still having dreams of California, and that means reliving one of my favorite outfit shoots with Kristi…visiting the beach in Santa Monica!

While I most certainly wouldn’t wear this look to the beach, I am totally embracing the pastel colors for Easter, spring and warmer moments to come. This white perforated skirt was a huge hit at Lucky Fabb and felt I had to give sufficient outfit details here on the blog 🙂

On Wednesday’s We Wear Pink!

Spring is in the air! Flowers are blooming, birds are singing…oh and by the way, it’s still cold in NYC! What the hell! In order for me to try and forget that there was actually snow at the beginning of the week I am once again embracing color! Now if you read the title of this post and didn’t right away giggle I’m sorry to say but you must be living under a rock :p I had to pay homage to one of my favorite movies of all time in which the color ‘Pink‘ was the center of attention: Mean Girls!

One of my favorite lines from the movie other than ‘Is butter a carb?‘ is ‘On Wednesday’s we wear pink.’ That is a rule I can totally oblige by because if you haven’t noticed, I’m not one to shy away from color and this outfit exemplifies just that 🙂

In addition to paying homage to my fav Miss Regina George, I felt it was only suiting to bring a little sunshine to the blog since today I’m off to California for some fashion excursions and fun in the sun with my lovely friend Kristi of ‘Currently Crushing‘, she has a slight color obsession as well 😉

I honestly can’t wait to leave New York for a few days and I’m so excited to meet fellow bloggers who are style obsessed like myself at Lucky Fabb West 2014 in Beverly Hills! What What 😉

I’m even thinking this look will end up being a ‘must have’ in cali…pink sandals and pink pants? What can be better…right? 🙂
