What a weekend! I am thrilled to say this is the last of my outfits that was shot with snow on the ground…in fact over the weekend, I was able to shoot tons of new spring looks at the beach…with sand in between my toes (check out my SnapChat to see more — MissyOnMadison) <3 I must say, I definitely have a love/hate relationship with New York/Long Island. I LOVE summers in the Hamptons, long drives out to Montauk and tanning by the pool…but then when winter rolls around I tend to find myself in a bit of a depression having to shovel myself out of feet of snow surrounding my house. It’s tough, it’s nuts and I may be a little cray cray…but for the next few months I will love New York…but come fall no guarantees 😉
However something I will always love…you guessed a ‘Pop Of Color‘ que the blue coat! I literally had to have this coat and when the time came for me to snag it on sale I knew it was meant to be…
It’s #ShoesdayTuesday and what better way to put a little ‘Spring‘ in your step than with a round up of the top footwear trends for spring…everything from neon, to fringe to white pumps to nude sandals…the shoes you’ve been looking for all in one place AND all at affordable prices (nothing over $135!hey I know I am not the only girl on a budget here :p)
One of my favorite parts about spring is being able to show off a fresh new pedicure, ditch the layers of socks and boots and feel girly and free…I am not a winter person (anyone who knows me that comes as no surprise…I despise the cold and opt for a nice 60-70 degree temperature everyday).
The only issue I have with spring/summer footwear? The marks and blisters I get on my feet…normally with the right footwear I am ok, but I actually got this cool new product called ‘Sole Serum‘ sent to me over the weekend and I figured I’d give it a shot while testing out my new blue pumps (which of course are in my shopping collage). All in all it’s pretty awesome! It comes in a cute little green tube and with just one squirt you rub it on the balls of your feet, ankles and anywhere else you typically get foot pain and voila! Pain is gone…it’s like a numbing cream for heels and it’s amazing.

Happy Tuesday Loves! Every fashionista loves a good sale…especially one from ShopBop that gives you 25% off site-wide with code ‘FAMILY25‘! The sale runs from Oct. 14th – Oct. 16th beginning at 8am EST on the 14th and ending at 11:59 EST on the 16th!
Happy Wednesday Loves! Time to share my last look that was shot by the fabulous William Thomas at the Martha Clara Vineyard out on Eastern Long Island. This adorable barn was the perfect backdrop for this fall look which is mostly from…drum roll please…Kohls! Yup…not kidding my bag (out of stock similar from Michael Kors here), top and moto jacket all from Kohls 🙂
The second I spotted this bag I fell in love because it reminded me of the Stella McCartney signature bag that has been spotted on celebrities everywhere. I love a great ‘Look For Less’ alternative and while this bag is actually out of stock on the Kohls website, I found a very similar one still in the ‘reasonable’ price range from Michael Kors 🙂My burgundy jeggings are from Hue. Hue is one of my go to brands for comfy fall bottoms. I love jeans, but Hue jeggings and leggings just hug every curve perfectly…my dream <3 Black suede pumps for fall are also a necessity…can’t step out without standing out in classic pumps!
My gray moto jacket is from Apt. 9 at Kohls…I loved it so much I actually got it in a powder blue as well (stay tuned to see it styled two ways!). Moto jackets for fall are a total must in Missy’s world! And the top my post is named after…Juicy Couture for Kohls. It’s funny…I worshipped Juicy Couture in middle school and had their infamous velour track suits in every color (typical Long Island pre-teen what can I say)…now years later here I am rocking the more affordable Juicy Couture line on my blog…some things never change huh?
These red, black and gray hues scream fall and I think they are staples for the season, don’t you?
Happy Thursday Loves! Whether it’s the dead of winter or the hottest day over the summer, one trait I always include in my looks is color! Season to season, colorful hues and playful prints have been a staple for every gal’s wardrobe (including at this past NYFW for SS 15). The key to wearing print properly is to mix and match a top and bottom that mesh well together. I love this yellow and blue aztec print skirt from Target because there are so many ways to style the fun print. Today I’m rocking it with a dark wash chambray pullover from Old Navy, but last time I wore it I rocked silver pumps and a simple black bandeau…a little risky but hey I opted for sexy that day…today’s version…strictly business 😉My black leather clutch was a clearance find at Last Call Neiman Marcus…they have been my go to for handbags on a budget without forgoing on quality or the designer label. Most of my favorite handbags from them however have been their own line of bags from the ‘Neiman Marcus’ collection. They are usually designer inspired and at a fraction of the price! I also feel a ‘professional’ look must be completed with the perfect planner to keep me on track for the day, my personalized date book is from Graphic Image NY. My black suede pumps are essential for fall and for the office. Steve Madden has them is so many different versions…colors, shape, heel height…but these ones are my favorite. On a side note…while I love this outfit, I’m also loving how my hair was actually well behaved in these photos…don’t you love when that happens?
