Today is the final day of the ShopBop ‘Friends + Family’ Sale where you can get 25% off of EVERYTHING by using code ‘SPRING25‘ at checkout! Since I love a good sale and since I am also wishing I were going to Coachella this weekend, I decided it was only right to share 12 of my favorite ‘Coachella’ inspired pieces available on ShopBop now that can be worn anytime this spring into summer!
I took a break from reality TV tonight (and if you aren’t caught up, by tonight I mean last night since I write my posts the night before they are published…I like to be confusing…it’s my specialty…just ask the guys I go on dates with that remain befuddled after it’s over haha :p). Anyway, I managed to get myself away from Bravo for a night and am writing this post while watching a marathon of ‘Big Bang Theory‘ which without fail always has me laughing…Sheldon Cooper never ceases to amuse me 🙂 What else amazes me? The fact that I am actually able to wear leopard print without feeling like I look like Snooki (Jersey Shore version…now I love her…#fitspiration). This look also includes one of my spring time essentials…ripped skinny jeans!
Swing Batter Batter…SWING! Woohoo! It is finallyFriday…and it couldn’t come soon enough! It’s been a long and hectic week for me between work and blogger events, I have been completely wiped out and I for one can’t wait to get some rest this weekend (although I doubt that’ll actually happen). I was looking forward to being able to finally shoot some spring looks baring a little skin…but mother nature isn’t working in my favor, it is snowing…yea you heard me, it’s snowing in New York…Over It! Anyways, back to this look. If you didn’t already know, I am a complete girly girl so the only way you can get me to a baseball field is if I can take pictures on it 😉 This bomber jacket look did just the trick…sporty chic perfection. Feels like spring spirit! I was beyond thrilled at how warm NYC was yesterday…I actually got to show some leg (an appropriate amount of course…) and not have to bundle up in layers…Spring has Sprung! This look is the epitome of spring…white skinny jeans, bright colors, white pumps and a signature pair of sunnies…out with the dark hues and in with shades of light! This ensemble was shot back when I was in Florida for my Birthday a few weeks ago and I am already itching for another trip (seriously is it May yet…LA here I come)! Yesterday was a busy work day…I brought four of my blogger gal pals to Kleinfeld to have their very own Cinderella moment in honor of the movie coming to theaters Friday and let’s just say it was a magical afternoon 😉 Follow @KleinfeldBridal to find out more…but as for my outfit…well you have to read on to get your own ‘happily ever after‘ :pSpeak of color, I had to wear this blue face Michael Kors watch again for this post (yes I know I just wore it Monday#SorryNotSorry :p) When an outfit has so many different colors sometimes to pull the look together, a chic classic bag is necessary like the black quilted ‘Affair’ bag from Rebecca Minkoff here. And naturally a killer pair of sunnies (especially bright ones like these) are needed to really embrace the warmer weather and to make a statement.
I must admit I have a slightobsession with white…white jeans…white pumps#AllWhiteEverything…with a ‘Pop Of Color‘ of course 😉 Although white is a challenge to keep clean, when worn properly it is so classy, chic, fresh and clean…and it can match with so many different options and in the spring I am always wanting to mix and match!
Florals for spring?…#GroundBreaking….can you guess what movie that is from? My favorite movie ‘The Devil Wears Prada‘ of course! Although the famous ice queen is based on real life Anna Wintour, after yesterday’s amazing Zoolander moment during Paris Fashion Week…Anna seemed anything but icey and I absolutely loved it! If you have no clue what I am talking about, you MUST check out how Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson took Paris Fashion Week by storm with their finale walk during the Maison Valentino show to promote the upcoming movie Zoolander 2! I never saw the first one (maybe I should get on that) but Ben was actually wearing some florals 😉 So he was my style inspiration for this post haha 😛So after going through these photos I noticed I was standing in front of a smiley face…Say Cheese 🙂 This look is perfect for spring…florals and booties? YES! It’s even great to wear to the office. I love a great A-Line skirt because to be quite honest I find them flattering on almost every figure…if you aren’t one for color, opting for a gray floral print is ideal because it’s a feminine print without being ‘too much’. I paired the skirt with a simple gray cowl neck top, black open toe booties (a great winter to spring transition shoe) + my Rebecca Minkoff Mini Mab tote.
I tend to wear the same few watches everyday, but for this outfit I decided to take my silver Michael Kors watch out of retirement! This was one of my first nice watches I ever got and it was a birthday gift from my parents a few years ago…I feel like this watch is a right of passage…at least on Long Island. My sister got this watch in gold and I have run into countless tweens, teens and young ladies all rocking this Michael Kors staple and I don’t blame them…it’s a fantastic watch!
On a side note today is going to be a busy day for me at work and I am trying to recuperate after being sick yesterday…I felt dizzy, nauseous and needed a break…sometimes commuting and a hectic schedule gets to ya so some much needed R+R was needed along with reruns of Real Housewives and cuddling with Charlie <3 That’ll make everything better!
