Happy D E C E M B E R! I cant believe it’s officially the Holiday season + that it is December. My first December in LA…filled with sunshine, a light breeze and the ability to wear my summer + fall favorites year round…Y A Y! It’s still crazy to me to think I get to shoot outfits in Beverly Hills (this park is just a few hundred feet from the famous ‘Beverly Hills‘ sign that I see the TMZ Tour Bus stop by every time I am in the area — maybe they think I’m a celeb :p jk…one day right? #wishfulthinking).I have always favored white as my hue of choice when it comes to jeans. I am obsessed with white jeans — perfect to wear with sweaters, button downs, chambray tops and even with this cold shoulder blouse! I feel white looks so chic and wearing white jeans in the winter really makes a statement! Some of my favorite white jeans are here (btw they are at all different price points + fits)
Another trend I have been loving as of recent are cold shoulder tops. This one is from Kohls and is no longer available, but below are a few of my current favorites (I may or may not have ordered 1 or 2 of them #oops :p)!
As for the rest of my look…my blue Ray Bans are pretty much on every Holiday Gift Guide list + are great for any season — always have that extra ‘Pop Of Color’ :p
These Vince Camuto high heeled gladiator sandals are comfortable, chic and the nude hue is perfect for year round wear (oh yea and since there is no snow in LA, I can actually show off my pedicure year round + wear these :p)
It’s F R I – Y A Y and that means an end to a short work week! Double Y A Y! Another thing I often find myself saying ‘Y A Y’ about everyday? The fact that living in LA means I get to be surrounded by gorgeous Palm Trees everyday. Call it dorky, but I guess being an East Coast native, seeing palm trees all the time excites me considering they are non-existent in NY. Hey NYC may be having NYFW but it is missing sunshine, great weather and these colorful beauties! The day before I left NY to road trip to LA, I did a little last minute shopping at Kohls (because while my dad was yelling for me to get all of my belongings together my mom found some coupons that I simply ‘had‘ to use :p I guess I didn’t think I would ever shop at Kohls again — little did I know there is one literally 10 minutes from my office haha #Addict)
Anyway, this Palm Print top was that last minute impulse buy I had to buy because I felt like it signified Cali and my exciting move from the East Coast. I feel like a lot of my clothes have a sentimental value, but this top, I will always remember being purchased the day before I moved 🙂
So LWD (little white dress) season is almost over…and every season is ideal for a LBD (little black dress), so I think that makes fall the perfect time for the LGD…Little Gray Dress…yup I am starting a trend…just wait for that to catch on 😉 Other than sharing my love for this easy and casual dress from Liz and Honey (pretty much my favorite online boutique at the moment btw — loving all the abbreviations today haha) I am also excited to share that I will be hosting the Fall Preview Party on the Poshmark App tonight! I love a good party + making money while doing it…don’t you? I am a tad of a Poshmark addict and if you have no clue what I am talking about read on…because it’s a perfect way to clean out your closet + make room for great fall styles you are lusting after! Drum Roll Please…It’s finally here! The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! All of your favorite designers and styles at upwards of 70% off…can your Friday get any better?! I think not 😉 I began sharing some of my favorites from the sale earlier this week with my Beauty Buys Roundup (ICYMI) 🙂
Today’s roundup is filled with pieces that are perfect for the summer into fall transition. I have been wearing floppy hats (like this one) all summer long and definitely plan on wearing it well into fall. Chiffon shift dress? YESplease…I can wear it now and later…need it, want it, gotta have it!
And the holiday weekend has unfortunately come to a close…Back to the rise and grind (ugh isn’t that the worst? A Monday after a nice, relaxing holiday weekend…#LegitTorture). I successfully survived my first 4th Of July in LA…naturally it was filled with outfit shoots, frozen yogurt and some fireworks (because I don’t care where I am living…a 4th Of July requirement for me is to see fireworks…Like I said, I am still a kid inside :p)
