Brighten Things Up…

Happy Tuesday Lovers! Ok I know it’s fall and that usually means sweaters, scarves, coats and tons of layers but maybe for just this once (or maybe a few times more to come) I want to go against the grain and go back to my old time favs…neon, open toe sandals, graphic tees and light wash jeans! Did I mention how much I dislike the cold weather? Well I must say for being born and raised in New York, it hasn’t made me any better at dealing with the temperature drop, dark skies or bitter cold…and I am truly contemplating a move to a warmer climate (still thinking about whether this is my impulse reaction to the beginning of winter in NYC or if it is a true feeling I should jump on….guess we will have to wait and see).Now to be completely honest this light weight neon moto jacket from Karen Kane (simialr available at Last Call Neiman Marcus here) doesn’t truly keep me warm…but it makes one hell of statement 😉 Statement necklace, statement jacket…what more can a gal ask for!This moto jacket was the perfect piece to layer over a basic graphic tee like this ‘Holy Chic‘ one from Old Navy (unfortunately it is no longer available but my love Rebecca Minkoff makes one here).I love a great fitting light wash jean…especially when I cuff them over like I did in this post. I know light wash is traditionally for spring or summer, but I am a firm believer that these jeans can be transitioned into fall with boots or chic pumps for any occasion. I found a great pair of light wash jeans from Nordstrom on SALE here.Now for the shoes and bag…all that ~~matters~~ right? 😉I love this Rebecca Minkoff ‘Affair Bag’ because it is a unique style that they no longer make. Yes, I have the black one which is pretty common, but when I spotted this tan bag with the neon trim I instantly fell in love…any hint of neon makes me smile 🙂My nude ankle strap heels are reminiscent of the Stuart Weitzman ‘Nudist’ Sandal…except the version I am wearing is a quarter of the price 😉 Hey I love a great ‘Look For Less’…what fashionista doesn’t!| *Click To Shop This Post* |

Day To Night…

TGIF Lovers! I’m happy to share a new ‘Day To Night’ transition look today because 9 out of 10 times the first thing I’m doing after a long day at work is heading to happy hour or a little dinner with the girls. When rushing around (especially in NYC) or even Long Island for that matter, I sometimes don’t have time to change into something different than what I wore earlier in the day…case and point, this outfit here 🙂I love everything about this look head to toe because I feel comfortable, confident and sexy in it all at the same time…something that not every outfit could provide. While everyone typically opts for a traditional black blazer for a day at the office or even a night out, I always love to think outside the box and rock white. This white boyfriend blazer is the perfect fit and can go from day to night…what’s better than that.To add even more color I wore a cropped purple cami like this one. It is a nice silk material and looks like a professional blouse when worn under a blazer so it is office appropriate or happy hour ready. While black distressed skinny jeans are ok for casual Friday in some offices, I know they aren’t widely accepted everywhere so an easy fix is to just rock non-distressed black skinny jeans like these (on sale now at Banana Republic) or black skinny dress pants like these…if you can do distressed I highly suggest these ones from TopShop.My bling is simple and layered…just the way I like it. Not too much for the board room yet trendy enough for an early evening outing. While both pieces are no longer available at their perspective retailers, I found a simple elephant necklace here + horizontal bar necklace here. Midi-Rings are here + here.The Rebecca Minkoff Affair Bag is my go to bag for going out. It’s not too small but not too big…it’s just right 😉 My shoes are not Valentino Rockstud Pumps although they look pretty similar! Happy Monday Loves! I know the old saying goes no white after labor day but when the lovely team at Shop Mieux sent me these gorgeous nude studded heels from Zara and my nude chiffon cami, I right away thought…white and nude go hand in hand…so an outfit was born! Shop Mieux is an online boutique which sells gently used designer goods for a fraction of the retail price…making brands that seemed a bit out of reach totally affordable. In addition, Shop Mieux has a new feature where ladies can send in their gently used clothes, shoes, accessories and jewelry and get cash right away…it takes the pain out of selling your goods online! Now to break down my look. My white blazer is from LC By Lauren Conrad…I found a similar one from Chicwish here. My white skinny jeans are the classic rockstar style from Old Navy…I am slightly obsessed with the fit of all of Old Navy’s jeans! My nude chiffon cami is from Shop Mieux but I found a similar one from MissGuided…that’s the thing about ShopMieux…you have to get the pieces while they are hot since there is only one of them! You snooze, you loose!I had to rock my signature Rebecca Minkoff Affair bag to add another simple hue to this ensemble along with a little bling…studs on the bag and gems on the heels…what else does a gal need. My shoes are once again from Shop Mieux but I found similar nude platform heels (minus the sparkle) from TopShop…which I’m honestly contemplating buying as well…because they are different right?!My bling was a little gift from SINN Style in NYC which in a way is like Shop Mieux except they deal with high end luxury items…think Hermes, Brian Atwood and Chanel for a fraction of the retail cost! In addition to their consignment business, SINN Style launched their own jewelry line of rings, earrings, bracelets etc and I am in LOVE with all of their pieces.Shop My Look<3

Casual Cardigan For Fall…

Happy Friday Loves! Finally time for a new outfit post and in true casual Friday fashion…I’m rocking a casual beginning of fall look 🙂 I’ve had this Old Navy beige cardigan for two years now and I absolutely love it! It’s comfy, matches with everything and in a way pulls any look together. While denim shorts scream summer (what can I say I really didn’t want summer to end), pairing them with a fall cardigan can transform it into the perfect September look. My white silk cami is from Top Shop, it’s my go to for nights out or just about any occasion because it’s simple, comfortable and always makes me feel sexy! I love this shot my brother got…he’s a creative one when he wants to be 🙂 These rope wedges are from Payless and are one of the most comfortable pairs of wedges I own. Sorry but this is my favorite bag pretty much…Rebecca Minkoff Affair bag…one of my NYFW go to’s 😉

My statement necklace is from Prima Donna…let me tell you it actually weighs a ton haha but I suppose the statement it makes is worth it. It is getting cooler in NY so I suppose I have to put the denim shorts away soon…I simply hate pants (no not in that way) but in general…I’m a skirts, shorts, dresses kind of gal! Shop My Look <3

NYFW Day Two Day Time Look:

Happy Wednesday Loves! Finally sharing my NYFW diary part 2 from my day two adventures at NYFW! It was a busy day…there was the Storefront X RePop Room Brunch where I stopped by to see my friend Marrin Costello and her fabulous jewels…then I was off to Fashion Shenzen a runway show at Lincoln Center showcasing different Chinese designers and their impeccable designs. After visiting Lincoln Center I was off to the Kendra Scott showroom where I tried on some bling and even got to keep a beauty as well 😉 Lastly, the day wouldn’t be complete without an outfit change for my last event with Simple Skin Care and Caravan Studios at the Carlton Hotel! Wouldn’t be a brunch without starting off with a little green juice…in a shot glass 😉 I love Marrin’s pieces they are gorgeous with the druszy’s…I’m slightly obsessed. I actually connected with Marrin Costello through my blogger gal pal Cara…that’s what I love about blogging…networking and always meeting new people and making new friends, especially friends that are talented jewelry designers 😉 Next up Fashion Shenzen. They had a show at Lincoln Center and a presentation at the Hudson. Personally, while I love a classic runway show…for blogging purposes, presentations are so much nicer to snap pictures at! After some fashion came some more bling at the Kendra Scott showroom. At the Reward Style party, Kendra Scott gifted bloggers this gorgeous druszy ring and invited us to their showroom the next day for some more sparkle…naturally I had to take a photo of my bling. After getting blinged out it was time for an outfit change and I was off to the Caravan and Simply Skin Care party that took place in the penthouse of the Carlton Hotel on….Madison Avenue, Missy made her way back to Madison ;)!
