Whether you will be hanging with your friends or spending the evening having date night with your boo, one thing is for sure…you will be dressed up for it! Traditionally when I had Galentine’s Day, I rocked some cozy PJs + curled up watching Netflix, but this year Mike + I will be celebrating Valentine’s Day early during our trip to Florida (only a few days away ahhh) so what will I be wearing? A little white dress! Yup – you heard me, I am swapping out the traditional LBD for this little white number. Want to know the best part? Some of my favorite white date night dresses are up to 50% OFF at AMI Clubwear!
I absolutely LOVE this dress! It’s sexy (yes a bit see through hehe :p) yet also sweet with it’s A-Line silhouette…making it the perfect date night go to. Best part? AMI Clubwear has the best date night dresses for under $20…yea no joke, that’s a STEAL!
Here are some of my favorite Little White Dresses from AMI Clubwear:
I kept my date night accessories simple…BLACK. How chic is white + black? I just love it.
Before I got my Chanel, one of my favorite going out bags was this beauty called the ‘Affair’ Bag from Rebecca Minkoff (it comes in a ton of colors too!)
I also paired this look with my Rockstud Pumps (‘look a likes’ – because I can’t invest in the Valentino ones just yet, but if you would like to be my guest hehe they are available at Nordstrom!)
Another busy week is in full swing – naturally I am bracing myself by relaxing and watching Vanderpump Rules…my secret (well now not so secret) addiction :p Sometimes when things get hectic, it’s important to take a deep breath, take a moment + take care of yourself (one of my goals / things I have learned since turning 25 last month…#HelloMarch)! Anyways…one of the things that always makes me happy is sharing some new outfits with you all and today’s look is no exception.
I headed to shoot this look at the ever so famous ‘Pink Wall‘ (which has become a well known phrase across the country BTW…I use the term ‘pink wall’ when referring to an insta-worthy spot for marketing initiatives haha). Usually there is a line and a wait to shoot in front of this famous wall on Melrose (in fact…there are now signs + security trying to stop people from shooting in front of it period during the day).
I decided to shoot a little chambray number that is perfect for winter into spring in LA!
These tan peep toe booties are a staple for spring (that will also last ya till the fall). They are comfortable because of the chunky heel and they match with absolutely everything!! That’s why I love neutral colors.
I got those Monday B L U E S…you know that feeling when you want to just crawl back into bed + extend the weekend 😉 Well…I have that feeling BUT I also am translating ‘Monday Blues‘ into an excuse to wear blue this fall hehe ♥ As you all may know, I LOVE myself a good ‘Pop Of Color‘ so when my new instagram bestie Addison MacKenzie Boutique sent me this gorgeous cobalt blue tunic (which I in turn made into a dress haha) I fell in L O V E!
I wore this number to College Fashion Week this past weekend (see my full recap here) + I really love it — ok I probably say that to a bunch of my outfits, but this one is totally different…I mean I perfectly matched in cobalt blue from head to toe! haha
This cobalt blue tunic (although I styled it as a dress here) can be styled over jeans or leggings as a normal tunic to wear year round. How great is that? One piece that can be styled countless ways for year round wear! Amazing if you ask me 😉 Addison MacKenzie Boutique has such cute dresses, tops + sweaters…they are perfect to dress up or down for work or play + what I like most is that all of the clothes are normal sizes…meaning that fit true to size + aren’t just for skinny minis (sometimes online boutiques show pieces that look like they fit one way + when they arrive they fit another…but Addison MacKenzie’s pieces run true to size! No secrets here).
I layered a black moto jacket over the dress for a ‘night out’ look…plus I like the leather + lace contrast with the detailing on the tunic 🙂
Because I love to match + since I love color so much…it only made sense I match my blue dress to some blue suede shoes 😉 I can’t get enough of the cobalt blue pumps because they are a great way to incorporate color into your everyday look without it being too overwhelming. These pumps are ideal for work with dress pants or a skirt etc. They are a stylish little touch that will make any look be chic!
My delicate bracelets are from the jewelry brand called Jules Smith. I discovered them about a month ago + have become a huge fan since they are easy for layering + look chic (even at an affordable price tag)!
Check out their pieces + you can get 20% off with promo code – MISSYONMADISON (now that’s a steal)
Happy Sunday + I hope you all had a fabulous, fun-filled weekend (I sure did)! Saturday night I had the opportunity to attend College Fashion Week here in LA with my blogger gal pal Natalie of HashTagFablife (if you love beauty tutorials + fashion tips, you will love her site). The event was in Culver City + it was made up of 4 different ‘mini’ fashion shows where college students were the models walking the runway! There was sorority wear, night out wear + preppy wear.
Other than the cute styles rocked by fab college students (which I thought was so great for them btw – I love young gals getting to strut their confidence in a positive way)! Talk about Women Empowering Women ♥ In between each runway show guests had the chance to explore some of the great sponsors (like getting brow services from European Wax Center…my favorite). But, the best sponsors came from the styles the gals got to wear down the runway!
First, I should mention I was lucky enough to get the ‘VIP‘ treatment while attending College Fashion Week…meaning I got to sit front row + I received the best swag bag ever! (more about that later :p)
I think Rebecca Minkoff + Vince Camuto are great brands for college students to wear since they have a luxury feel at a convenient price point 🙂 I definitely have my fair share of picks from both brands!
For these fun sponsors I am going to reveal what was in my swag bag because TBH it is pretty major…
I love finding new fragrances that really help me feel great everyday – honestly, when you smell good, you feel good (in my opinion at least). Perfumania has a wide array of fragrances, sets + designers. Whether you are looking for a classic sent from Chanel or a new fresh sent from let’s say Juicy Couture (this perfume smells…amazing, no joke)…Perfumania has got ya covered!
I have wanted to try Fitbit forever…I am not a savvy fitness gal but I want to be able to track my steps, my calories + more to make sure I am at least on a track for success! I think Fitbit Flex 2 is great for that since it works with your lifestyle + with the thin design it looks stylish no matter what outfit you are wearing.
Drybar was probably one of my favorite sponsors! I have already been obsessed with their dry shampoo + some other products, so I am super pumped about trying Triple Sec, which I heard is a fan favorite. And…my favorite thing? Drybar gave a complimentary blowout to all attendees (which I am off to go use as we speak :p)!
Two other sponsors were Hanes + Maidenform (pretty much the essentials for undergarments which are the foundation of any look)! Their newest styles are great to wear with any outfit no matter what the cut or fit 😉
The entire College Fashion Week experience was also sponsored by People StyleWatch (one of my go to magazines for fashion inspo + news)!
Here’s some of what was in my bag:
I highly encourage all of you to try and attend College Fashion Week in your city next year! They have been on the East + West coast…fashion doesn’t sleep + neither do they!

H e l l o 2 4 ♥ So am I officially an ‘old fart‘ now? :p JK ok, I may not be hitting the retirement home just yet but I still can’t believe I am 24 years old today (or rather years young haha)! Lots has happened this past year and everyday I’m learning more about life + myself…safe to say this has been the year of breakdowns, quarter-of-a-life ‘pre’ crisis, big changes + plenty of life lessons but nonetheless, it’s been one hell of a ride!
If you told me on my birthday last year that when I was to turn 24, I would be living in LA (West Hollywood to be exact), would have up + left my family to live with my roomie whom is also from LI, NY and start a new life on my own…I would have said ‘Ok, you are shitting me right?‘! Well…a year later and here I am!
This year has definitely had it’s ups and downs but it’s really tested my perseverance, my drive + my strength which is what growing up is all about! Last year this time I was working in Manhattan…knowing I so desperately wanted to move to LA and leave cold NY behind for good (or at least until NYFW rolled around haha)! I was unsure of how to get myself to LA + couldn’t just up and move without a job in place along with a plan of action. With a stroke of luck and some hard work, I landed a job and had 2 weeks to get my life together + move cross country. It was scary, exciting and a hugechange ahead!
Fast forward to two weeks ago…I was laid off from the job I moved across the country for out of the blue, I was crushed after another failed attempt at dating + I was questioning what truly makes me happy and what I want to do with my life. (Talk about Quarter-Of-A-Life Crisis huh?) :p
Well I discovered that even when I panic + have my doubts…everything works itself out just like it’s supposed to! What’s that old saying? Everything Happens For A Reason?! Well I am a firm believer!
That job I got laid off from brought me to LA which I wanted so bad, that failed dating scenario taught me a lot about myself, as well as my likes + dislikes and questioning myhappiness + future made me realize how passionate I really am about blogging and my career path in digital marketing + social media!!
Fast forward to today…my 24th Birthday! Every day there is a new story with me, but today in particular I have some exciting news to report!
While I was depressed about being laid off just shy of two weeks ago, I got an extra special Birthday Surprise this week 🙂 I am officially the newSocial Media Manager for BH Cosmetics!!! I can’t wait to be running their awesome social accounts + begin sinking my teeth into video (because as we all know, beauty is all about YouTube, Vine + SnapChat now-a-days)! AND I am SUPER excited to have moved up to a ‘Manager‘ position — feels like the true ‘right’ step in my career and I feel thrilled to be moving forward→
I’ve always worked for fashion companies and I am so happy to switch things up with beauty (heck maybe I’ll learn how to get lips like Kylie’s or an on-point contour like Khloe :p) Sky’s The Limit…Literally! That’s why, just like last year…colorful balloons were in order…but this time I am celebrating in Hollywood!
Add me on SnapChat – MISSYONMADISON to follow along + see what I am up to for my Birthday today AND tonight! P.S. I am hoping to run into some celebs on Sunset tonight (hey, if Jeremy Piven happens to show up at Hyde, Chateau Marmont or any place on Sunset…I will take it as a sign of fate that he’s my birthday gift) 😉 haha! No one said turning 24 meant I was going to wake up from my day dreams :p ♥
