    So time to be honest…swimwear has been my least favorite thing to shop for…why? Because nothing truly tests your confidence like slipping in to a bikini or one piece and wanting to look ‘sexy‘, ‘fit‘ and ‘beautiful‘. Especially in today’s day and age, it’s really tough to feel like a ‘million bucks‘ with models, celebrities and social media stars (cough cough Jen Selter) looking like they spend their entire lives at the gym…drinking Kale smoothies and doing the latest exercise routine to take over the country. Well truth time…that’s not me, nor will it ever be me. I work out because I want to binge eat movie theater popcorn at least once a week…I hate Kale and I am A OK with jogging on the treadmill (I prefer to spend my money on shoes as opposed to the latest workout craze :p)!

    My personal body issues have followed me ever since I was pre-teen. I was teased, bullied and always made to dream of having that ‘picture perfect’ figure. Well news flash…perfection doesn’t exist and years later I am finally beginning to feel confident in the skin I am in! Do I have moments where I worry about how I look? ABSOLUTELY!     Boulevard Of Broken Dreams…pretty sure that’s what many think when it comes to the idea of ‘making it’ in Hollywood. The common perception here when you tell someone you moved to LA from anywhere (especially when you are a female) is that you are an aspiring actress or model…well I’m neither haha Just your average gal with a passion for taking photos of any and everything :p

    It’s crazy to think I have been living here in LA for a little over 2 months now. Every morning I wake up to sunshine, great weather and oh yea…plenty of traffic :p Besides the traffic part sucking, Cali is indeed pretty awesome. I get to have a new backdrop for my colorful outfits and I can turn my beach wear into ‘going out’ wear which is exactly what I did today with this turquoise cover up from Liz and Honey! When I got this in the mail I knew I would be turning it into a dress (that drastic v plunging neckline is ideal for date night don’t ya think?) Plus it is the perfect piece to wear for a day at the beach and then an impromptu happy hour or dinner!

    Nothing gets me more excited for the upcoming weekend like a nice packing/shopping guide! I am heading the the Del Mar race track this weekend in San Diego to finally have my ‘day at the races’ considering I missed all of the horse racing in the Hamptons since moving to LA (tear tear).

    Well I am excited to A) Explore San Diego since I hear it is beautiful but I have never been + B) Win some money! (What I don’t look like a gambling kind of girl? Well that’s because I am not haha but for the sake of this weekend maybe I will be a trooper and give it a shot :p)

    Anyways, the most exciting part of any weekend trip, especially exploring a new place…is the packing! So I rounded up what I will be brining in my suitcase (yes a suitcase will be brought even if it is just a weekend trip…you never know what you may need haha) and the best part is that all of my picks are from Nordstrom AND a good amount of them are from the Anniversary Sale ending August 2nd so shop now before it is too late!
