Christmas Eve Glam…

Merry Christmas Eve ladies and gents! Every Christmas Eve my family has the tradition of my siblings and I going to my grandparents house, opening presents and having some quality family time (which due to our busy schedules tends to fall to the wayside). The holiday season is the perfect time to catch up with family, friends and of course…rock some glam pieces from your closet…duh! That’s my favorite part of the holiday season…dressing up 😉 All black everything…jk just my Dora Landa NY Lace & Faux Leather Top and my Catherine Malandrino for Kohls Drop Waist Skirt (which also has hints of lace…can you spot them?). Both pieces are timeless classics and will forever be mixed and matched from season to season.While I went simple with my black on black top and skirt, my accessories definitely added some much need ‘sass‘ to this look. I tend to wear a lot of black around the holiday season because you can always dress it up with the right shoes and handbag and even…jewelry, which is exactly what I did here!My jewelry is from Capwell + Co…scored at a sample sale (both pieces are in my Poshmark closet here + here) because I always try to snag a great deal (luckily with Capwell + Co all of their pieces are affordable!). I found a similar amethyst cuff and amethyst ring (both on sale now) here + here.I instantly fell head over ‘heels’ for A) this gorgeous purple bow bag that is (drumroll please) from Target! + B) these stunning leopard ‘Valentino Rockstud’ inspired pumps (available in my Poshmark closet here).Skirts or dresses are always my go to when it comes to getting ‘glam’ for any occasion and yes that even includes family affairs for Christmas 😉 What girl doesn’t love to play dress up when given an excuse?On a side note…I am SUPER excited to share that Christmas came a little early for me…I got a pretty awesome present and in true ‘Christmas’ fashion, I won’t reveal it till tomorrow when I share some present sharing glam on the blog 😉 So check back tomorrow to unwrap my exciting gift that guess what…will keep on giving!| Click To Shop My Look |

Winter Wear…

Why hello there and Happy Friday! It was brought to my attention by my mother dearest that she finds it ‘~~annoying~~‘ when I write ‘Hello Lovers’ or ‘Happy (insert day) Lovers’ at the beginning of all of my blog posts so I’m going to attempt to switch things up (because mom knows best after all…right?). Well that little comment A) made me laugh / smile because she actually reads my blog + B) made me wonder what is one thing that drives my readers’ mom’s nuts that they do? Is it a phrase or word you gals use? Is it a certain type of food you like to eat? Is it a musician you like? The possibilities are endless and I’d LOVE for you to share with me what bugs your mama dukes (hey if we ~~can’t~~ laugh and joke about it who else will?) :p

Ok, so besides discussing what irritates our mothers, let’s take a moment to break down a new winter outfit (that yes is FINALLY weather appropriate) 😉 Yes, I acknowledge that some of the outfits I share aren’t ideal for the cool temperatures this winter has brought to NY, but hey like I said…I wish it was spring/summer year round #SorryNotSorry My love for an Old Navy cable knit sweater has become quite apparent this week on the blog (I wore this brown one on Wednesday here + I wore the baby blue one yesterday here)…I guess you can say a classic cable knit sweater has become a winter staple for me! It can be dressed up or down and truly keeps me cozy at all times…which is essential for this bitter cold weather which I so desperately need to escape haha (can you say vacation?!)I always wear white when I want, how I want because I rarely ~~follow~~ the rules (hey if I did it would only be worn a few months out of the year and I would miss it dearly). So white skinny jeans and a white puffer vest (which I am selling on my Poshmark here) were bound to happen…winter white anyone?I have the toughest time finding tall boots because my calves require ‘wide calf’ in almost every style but then when I get wide calf they fit too big and are unflattering…well to my surprise my friends over at NYLA solved my quandry with these OTK (over the knee…don’t worry I just picked up on that abbreviation about 24 hours ago) suede riding boots that stretch around your calf similar to the Stuart Weitzman 50/50 boot except these beauties retail for under $75…making them a ‘MUST’ in my book.Because I occasionally like to be ‘matchy matchy‘ I had to rock my last year’s Christmas gift to myself…the Louis Vuitton Neverfull in Damier. This bag comes with me everywhere…and I literally mean everywhere…Target, Manhattan, JFK…you name it, it’s been there along for the ride.I try to keep the accessory game on point at all times so here ya go: Mirrored Aviators, Caravelle New York Watch, Stone Necklace, Initial Triangle Necklace….and they all make great ~~last minute~~ Holiday gifts 😉 😉 I actually (for about all of 10 minutes before freezing) felt like embracing the winter weather…like I mentioned short lived 😉 | Click To Shop My Look |

Snow Flake…

Happy Thursday Lovers! I titled this post ‘Snow Flake’ because the combination of the baby blue cable knit sweater, ivory tulle skirt and metallic accessories made me instantly think of snow flake holiday decoration that is hanging in one of the windows of my house at the moment. Snow flakes, like this outfit are simple yet elegant, they glimmer at night or during the day and are always bound to make you smile 🙂 I love wearing tulle skirts because they make me feel like that little girl that wants to be a princess (hell maybe that’s still me…oops). They are always an extra special piece to wear for any occasion…especially the holiday season. At times wearing a tulle skirt can be seen as ‘too much’ but styled the right way…totally do-able!I paired this LC Lauren Conrad tulle skirt with a cable knit sweater from Old Navy. I love the touch of baby blue especially because it can even be worn well into spring when the weather is still a tad cool in the early months. While I love this one from Old Navy, I found similar ones here + here (both for under $50!).Now time to break down my metallic accessories…because every snow flake wants to shine right? 😉 My silver pumps are from Christian Siriano for Payless (now on my Poshmark here) and are no longer available but I found a similar pair from DV By Dolce Vita on sale at Macy’s here!Next up? This metallic silver zip clutch is perfect for the Holiday season because it can be worn with absolutely EVERYTHING! Metallic is always statement making and dresses up any look. This clutch is from Carolinna Espinosa (on my Poshmark here / similar Steve Madden clutch here) and is no longer available but I found a similar one from Clare V. at Neiman Marcus here.And once again…had to rock my favorite piece of candy…arm candy I mean from Caravelle NY…the best piece to match with any Holiday ensemble…On a side note, I’d like to share a little personal update from the world of Missy. My little buddy Charlie just came home last night from having emergency eye surgery at the animal hospital. I don’t know about you, but my feeling is that Charlie isn’t just our family dog, he is truly a member of our family and to go through this little hiccup during the holiday season has been stressful on all of us. Flirty Friday Florals…

Happy Friday Loves! Time to flashback to one of my favorite trends…florals (earth shattering I know)…everytime I talk about florals I think of Miranda Preistly from my favorite chick flick ‘The Devil Wears Prada’ — ‘Florals? For Spring? Groundbreaking…’ Well as a matter of fact…I believe florals for winter are definitely…groundbreaking 😉 Just don’t tell Miranda!Friday’s are typically casual in every office place so what does that mean to me? A fun printed skirt paired with a simple cable knit sweater like this one from Old Navy that can transition from the board room to happy hour!My floral scuba skirt (which apparently is the ‘it’ material to have this year) is from Target but I found a very similar skirt from J Crew here. My sweater like I mentioned above is from Old Navy AND it is on sale now here!Let’s break down the most important part of any look…the shoes and the bag duh! My cobalt blue quilted clutch is from Lord & Taylor and is no longer available…however I am selling it on my Poshmark here! If you want to try different alternatives check out ones here + here. My shoes are from my social media crush Cameron Silver for Nine West. I LOVE Cameron’s style because he loves a good pop of color just like ya girl here 😉 If you don’t know who he is maybe you remember a show called ‘Dukes Of Melrose’ that aired on my go to network…Bravo. Cameron is part owner of the most popular vintage shop called Decades in LA and he has the most eccentric style and he is hilarious yet moving on social media…you must check him and his shoes out. These pumps are comfortable, unique and pretty much to die for…plus they are under $50 here!So on a little side note…I did some holiday shopping for myself…I know, I know holidays are a time for giving…but hey who said you can’t give yourself a little something right? Bomber Babe…

Happy Tuesday Lovers! I am writing this post at midnight while watching my favorite late night talk show…Watch What Happens Live hosted by my ever favorite Andy Cohen (P.S. his new book is out now & would make a perfect holiday gift for the Housewives lover in your life..hint-hint get it here) OK now back to the basics…how I rocked a bomber jacket take 1. I spotted this bomber jacket (from Old Navy…no longer available) a few weeks ago and wasn’t sure if it was truly me…I know absolutely nothing about sports…rarely rock sports related apparel and it reminded me of something out of a Justin Bieber music video (circa ‘Baby’ with Ludacris). But I discovered how to style it…with a classic white faux leather skirt and black crop top.As if the white skirt and crop top didn’t make this bomber jacket girly enough add a killer pair of heeled booties…maybe like these Altuzarra for Target booties that I am currently selling on Poshmark here.My bag is an essential for every gal…Rebecca Minkoff ‘Mini Mac’ Bag. I have it in a variety of colors but black is always a classic…it matches with absolutely everything and is the ideal going out back or even an easy one to carry when running errands. On a side note…In addition to obsessing over how I actually made a bomber jacket girly and how to have it do ~~absolutely nothing~~ with ~~sports~~, I am super excited for the premiere of Lisa Edelstein’s new show on Bravo (hey I told you I was watching WWHL while writing this…) ‘Girlfriend’s Guide To Divorce’! Pretty sure “Go Find Yourself” while become the newest craze…I love the clips I’ve seen and I can’t wait to see how the story unfolds!P.S. I hope you had a productive weekend of shopping…I know I definitely did.
