Ok, yes…I am making a fashion ‘faux pas‘ today by wearing white in the dead of winter…especially with a light wash chambray shirt (gasp) I am getting a littlecrazy…what can I say 😉 I simply LOVE white jeans and pairing it with this light wash chambray shirt makes for the perfect combo for a Friday night. Whether it’s heading to the movies, the bar or even dinner…I love a great casual look that isn’t ‘plain’ or ‘sloppy’ looking…I call this…dressed up yet dressed down.My white jeans are from Old Navy but Charlotte Russe has great ones (which I actually ordered whilst I was writing this post haha) for under $30here. My light wash chambray shirt was an H&M clearance find forever ago (PS a little secret about this shirt…it constantly has to be steamed but I kinda refuse to do so…oops…just adds to it’s ‘casual’ vibe). So this Gucci ‘Soho Tote’ is actually my mom’s which she so kindly let’s me borrow from time to time…although I have my new Gucci ‘Soho Work Tote‘ that I’ve worn before (if you missed it I wore it here) I still have a thing for this bag as well #GucciAddict #SavingForAnother (#SorryNotSorry)!Anytime I wear white pants I feel it is almost necessary to go with a nude shoe and since we are trying to make a chambray top and white jeans a bit ‘dressy‘, why not pair the look with nude suede open toe booties like these ones from Nine West. Now don’t judge me but I actually ended up coincidentally wearing this look tonight (I am currently writing this post at 1am…and I know I will regret this in the morning but oh well) I went out, I lived a little and I worewhite…| Click To Shop My Look |
Why hello there and Happy Friday! It was brought to my attention by my mother dearest that she finds it ‘annoying‘ when I write ‘Hello Lovers’ or ‘Happy (insert day) Lovers’ at the beginning of all of my blog posts so I’m going to attempt to switch things up (because mom knows best after all…right?). Well that little comment A) made me laugh / smile because she actually reads my blog + B) made me wonder what is one thing that drives my readers’ mom’s nuts that they do? Is it a phrase or word you gals use? Is it a certain type of food you like to eat? Is it a musician you like? The possibilities are endless and I’d LOVE for you to share with me what bugs your mama dukes (hey if we can’t laugh and joke about it who else will?) :p
Ok, so besides discussing what irritates our mothers, let’s take a moment to break down a new winter outfit (that yes is FINALLY weather appropriate) 😉 Yes, I acknowledge that some of the outfits I share aren’t ideal for the cool temperatures this winter has brought to NY, but hey like I said…I wish it was spring/summer year round #SorryNotSorryMy love for an Old Navy cable knit sweater has become quite apparent this week on the blog (I wore this brown one on Wednesday here + I wore the baby blue one yesterday here)…I guess you can say a classic cable knit sweater has become a winter staple for me! It can be dressed up or down and truly keeps me cozy at all times…which is essential for this bitter cold weather which I so desperately need to escape haha (can you say vacation?!)I always wear white when I want, how I want because I rarelyfollow the rules (hey if I did it would only be worn a few months out of the year and I would miss it dearly). So white skinny jeans and a white puffer vest (which I am selling on my Poshmark here) were bound to happen…winter white anyone?I have the toughest time finding tall boots because my calves require ‘wide calf’ in almost every style but then when I get wide calf they fit too big and are unflattering…well to my surprise my friends over at NYLA solved my quandry with these OTK (over the knee…don’t worry I just picked up on that abbreviation about 24 hours ago) suede riding boots that stretch around your calf similar to the Stuart Weitzman 50/50 boot except these beauties retail for under $75…making them a ‘MUST’ in my book.Because I occasionally like to be ‘matchy matchy‘ I had to rock my last year’s Christmas gift to myself…the Louis Vuitton Neverfull in Damier. This bag comes with me everywhere…and I literally mean everywhere…Target, Manhattan, JFK…you name it, it’s been there along for the ride.I try to keep the accessory game on point at all times so here ya go: Mirrored Aviators, Caravelle New York Watch, Stone Necklace, Initial Triangle Necklace….and they all make great last minuteHoliday gifts 😉 😉 I actually (for about all of 10 minutes before freezing) felt like embracing the winter weather…like I mentioned short lived 😉 | Click To Shop My Look |
Happy Thursday Loves! I’m really beginning to embrace fall…it’s about time I suppose considering we are in October! I feel like it is still summer in my mind, mean while I see Jack-O-Lanterns and Christmas Trees up in every store…oh how time flies! Today’s look is actually mostly from Old Navy…I seriously love their fall pieces. My olive quilted vest is a must…I actually own it in white and black as well. Old Navy’s ‘Rockstar’ jeans fit me like a glove (I own quite a few pairs…they are that good) and are affordable. Last but not least…the majority of my blouses are their boyfriend style button downs because you can dress them up or down like I did with this light pink one! Now for my lower half…I am OBSESSED with this Lauren Ralph Lauren ‘Newbury’ Mini Satchel in fuschia…color is always a yes in my book, especially when it pops like this bag! My camo style heels are from Christian Siriano for Payless…yes ladies, Payless…never underestimate affordablitity and comfort when it comes to great footwear! Of course the best part of any fall look? A smile…duh 🙂 Plus it’s almost the weekend…that’s always a reason to smile…right?By the way…something else I love about this look? My backdrop…I always love finding interesting locations to shoot at and who would have thought this ‘ranch’ style spot is only 10 minutes from my house…talk about living in a bubble…oops! Happy Friday Loves! TGIF! I am so ready for a weekend filled with some fun in the sun, how about you? Well something I love about Friday’s (other than the fact summer Friday’s mean ending work in the afternoon) is the fact that they are casual, meaning I can pretty much wear anything within reason without be judged as ‘sloppy’ 😉
So this look is a total favorite of mine and it fits the casual bill to a T…literally haha (get it T like Tee Shirt lol…) 😉 My red open back top is from Zoeii Boutique…I love it’s casual feel yet it has the open slit in the back making it perfect for a night out!
My jeans are classic Old Navy…I simply LOVE white jeans for summer…especially these ones because they fit like a glove!
Like mentioned in previous posts, I love this Vince Camuto bucket bag for summer. It fits all my essentials and is an easy on the go bag!
My shoes were a Payless find! Don’t you love finding shoes that you simply can’t live without at a price that’s actually affordable? Yea…these shoes are that. While they are no longer available I found a similar style from Jildor.
Like how I went back to the old days of taking photos in front of my house? Yea…this was an outfit I wore to Americana Manhasset to get my jewelry repaired at Tiffanys…I loved it so much I kinda forced my brother to snap a bunch of pics before I left 😉 Trust me…he was loving it…not lol Sorry Matt!
These were my favorite shots…1) My behind kinda looks killer (guess those squats are working) and 2) Because I love showing off the open back style of this top <3
