Happy Humpday Loves! I’m already having a fabulous week and I am especially loving this New York weather! Yesterday I opted for a casual and comfy look while I visited the newly named ‘Anna Wintour Costume Institute’ ‘Beyond Fashion’ exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art & as if that wasn’t cool enough, my brother and I went to a taping of ‘Inside The Actor’s Studio’ featuring my #WCW (Woman Crush Wednesday…duh!) Mariska Hargitay AKA Olivia Benson from Law & Order SVU…my guilty pleasure <3 I’m having a ‘Shop Genius’ moment from Nordstrom Rack. I love a simple chambray top, especially this button down that I paired with an olive cami and white shorts from Abercrombie (which are from high school by the way…score for me, the gym is paying off!). My number one go to accessory for a day in the Big Apple is my Louis Vuitton Neverfull tote and some chic sunnies. I LOVE this bag…it’s huge enough to fit everything including the kitchen sink (which knowing me may end up in my bag haha!) and it’s classic and simple. I like adding a little edge to any look with some great aviators like these ones! My shoes are an oldie but a goodie. I bought these straw smoking slippers from…drum roll please…NY & Company over two years ago! I absolutely love these shoes, by the way NY & Company has killer shoes and they are affordable…YES! Smoking slippers are an easy way to dress up a casual ensemble…I feel like they tie a look together sometimes better than a pair of sandals can. When I’m having a simple, care free day I go for simple jewelry like my signature gold and diamonds ‘M’ initial necklace which I received from my grandmother when I was younger, but I found a similar one from Nadri at Nordstrom that I love as well 🙂 Hope you love this casual look as much as I do! Happy Monday loves! Today’s look is an oldie but a goodie…I realized I have this look on my banner above, but never broke down the shopping details…oops 😉 I hope you all had a nice weekend, I know I sure did! What I love about this look is this floral scuba skirt from Target…isn’t it great? I love all the colors in it, especially how I can rock it with a cute aqua tank <3 I love color for summer. I found a similar skirt from Last Call…with a mixed pattern…obsessed!My shoes are again…a Payless find! Yes people…Payless <3 I seriously love them…don’t worry I found similar nude sandals from Nasty Gal! My bag is my forever favorite Rebecca Minkoff Affair Bag in classic black. Chic, classy and simple. Has tons of room for all your essentials and is amazing quality! My prayers for the perfect going out bag have been answered 😉 I can’t live without a chic white blazer. I feel it pulls any look ‘together’ and is great for a night out or a day at the office. My statement necklace is from Laila Rowe…they have the best jewelry for less 🙂 Great pieces to make any look sparkle! I found a similar white necklace from ASOS as well!Shop My Look Below <3

Anna & Karl…

Ever since I was 8 years old I had an unhealthy obsession with fashion…specifically Vogue and the lady behind it…Anna Wintour. The ‘Devil’ in Prada has been my idol for years. When people asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up I always had the same response, ‘I want to be the editor of Vogue and take Anna’s place one day’…and if someone didn’t know who Anna Wintour was, I knew we wouldn’t be able to mesh well lol…Sorry Not Sorry :p Karl has also become a love of mine…the man has made driving gloves a fashion statement, who else do you know that can turn an otherwise unknown fad into a trend?I felt I had to stand out and embrace the fabulous colors of this mural I spotted in Soho NYC, so it was time to bring out the hot pink Michael Kors tote that was simply a total ‘Must’ last year during Macy’s Friends & Family Sale! (I will never get sick of this Pop Of Color) Mirrored sunnies are also an obsession of mine…they just help increase the ‘Cool’ factor haha I say that because my little sister just bought a pair and acts like she started the trend 😉 Work it girl! This Target Kimono was a clearance score and what I love is that it can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion. The tie dye pattern on it is a fresh look for summer and adds a little something to any look. Cameron Silver has become another one of my fashion idols. Ever since I saw him on the show ‘Dukes Of Melrose’ on Bravo, I knew he was another great fashion personality that was up to great things! He teamed up with Nine West back in the fall and designed these gorgeous pumps…they will forever be a staple in my closet, neon accents are always a YES! Lately I’ve been reading some interesting thoughts about me and my blogging and in response I have this…in the words of one of my other idols, Eva Chen, Editor In Chief of Lucky Magazine, ‘Haters are gunna hate’…hell yea sister, embrace it and let it be the fuel to keep you going…I know that’s what keeps me doing what I do 😉 Shop My Look <3

Maxi Moment…

Happy Monday loves! Time for another busy week of blogging, work and appointments, but I’m still reminiscing about how fabulous this past weekend was! The weather was great and my outfits…casual yet chic in Soho 🙂 I decided to rock my first ever ‘Maxi’ type piece…shocking I know. Since I’m 5’3 I usually have a hard time wearing longer lengths, but I spotted this skirt at Nordstrom Rack and totally gave in!I’m once again wearing my Dominie Luxury Jelly Tote…this bag has been a huge hit. Ladies everywhere are asking me where I got it, how much and what designer is it. Well…it’s from Dominie Luxury in California…it costs $147 and is the perfect summer bag! My shoes were a great Payless find during their huge sandal sale…you know I can never turn down a sale…especially on shoes! These wedges are totally comfy and cute…perfect summer combo ladies 🙂Aren’t they great? I think I will be living in these all summer! And while I embraced the maxi skirt trend, I always reverted back to Chambray and layered a simple chambray button down over the skirt for the ultimate casual weekend look 🙂 I got lucky with Nordstrom Rack…my top and skirt are both from their clearance racks!
