Fall Flashback…

Having a little ‘Flashback‘ moment today…a flashback from the fall…leaves and all (like how i rhymed there haha!) I’m writing this post while watching a juicy new episode of ‘Girlfriends’ Guide To Divorce‘…it’s truly my guilty pleasure. I know it may be cynical to be so obsessed with a show about divorce and dysfunctional relationships when I work at the Mecca of all things bridal…but Lisa Edelstein may as well be my spirit animal <3

While I’ve shot plenty of winter looks recently (all ones I froze my a** off for of course), there are still so many outfits from the fall I have yet to have shared and today’s look is one of them…What I love about this outfit is that I could wear it for work or play. At Kleinfeld we are required to wear all black whenever we are open (which definitely makes getting dressed in the morning a lot easier) but all you need is to add some simple pieces to snazz up an all black ensemble like this.My white faux fur vest is an oldie but a goodie from H&M but I found two similar options here + here (both at great prices!).My go to ‘professional’ wear is classic black ponte pants like these + a simple black chiffon blouse like these two here + here.Now to break down my favorite part of any outfit…the shoes and bag…My beiege studded pumps are great for the office and can be translated to happy hour without looking too ‘business’ like. Similar options: here + here.This Betsey Johnson leopard satchel was a Last Call Neiman Marcus find and I can’t seem to find this bag ~~anywhere~~ else except on eBay so I found two similar designer options here + here.And a simple watch to wear to work? But first…~~coffee~~ (~~scratch~~ that…to be quite honest I start each and every day with a Venti iced green tea from Starbucks…unsweetened of course…typical white girl…~~oops~~) but I mean coffee as in ‘Coffee Shop‘, the great brand who makes this stylish leopard coat I am wearing today! This past week has been the true beginning of winter weather. Snow on the ground, a chill in the air and wind that practically swept me right off my feet…this weather calls for a warm, cozy and fashionable coat…in comes Coffee Shop.

This brand reached out to me right before the Holiday Season and I couldn’t wait to work with them. They make everything from Moto Jackets, to Pea Coats, to Wool Coats and Bomber Jackets…they are now my one stop shop for unique and trendy coats that won’t break the bank (which is always in style in my book!)

So while I am not a fan of the cold temperatures I must admitt it was kinda fun to have a little white snow on the ground while shooting looks over the weekend. Sunday Cool…

There’s nothing I love more than dressing comfy and cozy on the weekends…especially Sunday. When I’m ~~not~~ shooting upcoming outfit posts I love just wearing an oversized top, some skinnies and booties…basically this ensemble 😉 ‘Sunday Cool’ is named after these cute genuine leather Coolway Shoes booties that got sent to me recently. They are comfortable, unique and have a little latin flavor (they are made in Spain but repped in Cali).

I love discovering new brands and especially new shoes 😉 What gal doesn’t like that surprise in the mail! Anyways I ~~digress~~…back to the rest of my Sunday casual look…After purchasing this gray cowl neck top from Old Navy months ago I have been on the hunt for other similar tops because I think the style is the perfect winter go to for work or play. I found two similar gray cowl neck tops: here (Nordstrom) + here (Urban Outfitters).These Old Navy skinny jeans are my favorite. They fit my figure perfectly and hug my curves in all the right places 😉 That’s always a win in my book! (that’s the only win I care about on Sunday’s…sorry Football fans!)This scarf was shown earlier in the week as part of my ‘Top 20 Winter Scarves‘ roundup. This black plaid flannel scarf is an easy piece to layer over any look and keep ya warm…scarves have become my obsession lately despite the fact I ~~hate~~ winter (did I just ~~admit~~ that…yes, NY you heard me I hate winter weather!)My bag has a cute little story behind it so I will give you the short cliff notes version. My first job began at the age of 14 and I was a concessionist at a local movie theater (which to date was one of my favorite jobs ever…it started my love affair with movie theater popcorn). I started working there the summer before I began high school and I already had the ‘designer handbag’ bug…so naturally I couldn’t go to my first day of freshman year without a new bag…and while all of the girls on Long Island were having their obsession with Coach, Prada and Kate Spade bags…I decided to fall for Dior…which led me to buying this beauty.I already shared my shoe details at the beginning of the post but here is the link to check out all of their styles and find where you can snag them at a store near you: Coolway Shoes! Ok…I know you all are going to yell at me and say ‘What Are You Thinking?!” wearing a skirt in the dead of winter. Well as I’ve shared with you guys before, I shoot multiple looks ahead of time (this way when temperatures are below zero I am not freezing my little butt off wearing my ever favorite skater skirt!). So this little ‘Trouble Maker’ was shot in…drum roll please…October! Yes…You heard me October. My iPhoto library is a never ending catalog of Missy approved outfits just waiting to be posted so in a way this look is a ‘FlashBack Friday’ hence why it isn’t weather appropriate…Now that we cleared the air as to why I am not covered in goosebumps here haha let’s get to the fun stuff…A) The fact that it is Friday and the start of a much needed weekend after my first full week at my new job + B) Breaking down today’s outfit details 😉This look was based around this Rock & Republic scoop neck scuba sweatshirt from Kohls (on sale now for $25!). When I spotted it in Kohls I just knew I had to have it because if you ask anyone that knows me…it’s safe to say I am the occasional ‘Trouble Maker‘ (~~oops~~).In order to dress up an otherwise ordinary sweatshirt I paired it with this cute gray quilted skater skirt from Charlotte Russe (which is only $12…total must have!). I love a good skater skirt and especially anything with a quilted design…what can I say it reminds me of Chanel haha!Another reason I love this outfit? It encompasses my two current obsessions…a Pop Of Color + Studded Pumps (which in reality have always been obsessions of mine!) I scored this orange satchel at Last Call Neiman Marcus as a last minute find, but I found two similar options here + here. My black rockstud pumps aren’t Valentino my loves…they are from Necessary Clothing for under $30 here!
