Don’t Be Basic…

Happy Wednesday Loves! I am a bit obsessed with this outfit A) Because Sarah shot the photos and made me look pretty decent…I’m always wary when anyone other than my brother or sister shoot me, but I think she did a fabulous job & B) Because I love this ‘Don’t Be Basic‘ graphic tee for fall! I got this tee at Target but I found a similar one from Revolve Clothing. My faux leather jacket (which I have had since high school) is LC By Lauren Conrad at Kohls…can you tell yet that I am a huge fan of her collection? I found a similar one from Old Navy (have to keep the low price point!).

Now to break down my fall accessories…My Louis Vuitton Speedy Bag was one of the best Christmas gifts I ever got…from when I was a freshman in college. I got hooked on designer bags at a young age and have been collecting ever since…my closet loves it, my wallet not so much. I spotted these Report Shoes booties on clearance at Marshalls a month ago and knew instantly they were going to be my must have fall shoe…comfortable, affordable and stylish…you can’t beat that combination.

Kendra Scott jewelry was at the Reward Style party during NYFW and gifted us bloggers this fabulous drusy ring. It’s edgy and fun…my go to piece when it comes to standing out!

My maroon skater skirt is from the fab team at Pink Basis…it’s no longer available but I spotted a similar one at Target. Maroon is one of my favorite hues for fall!

Pretty In Pink…

Happy Monday Loves! October isn’t just a month filled with fall festivals, pumpkins and Halloween decorations…October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, a cause dear to my heart. I’ve come to discover that everyone has in some way, shape or form been affected by Breast Cancer. Breast Cancer runs in my family and this time of year is a reminder to visit the doctor and take pre-caution…always be aware of what can happen and what steps to take to prevent it. Please join me in donating to one of the numerous foundations that help raise funds for preventative research and to find a cure 🙂Pink is the color that comes to mind when you think of Breast Cancer Awareness. The pink ribbon represents hope and the continued fight we all take part in to work towards a cure…so I decided a pink ensemble was a must to commemorate. My light pink pleated skirt is from Target…it’s such a girly piece and I love it! I paired it with my favorite black crop top from Jennifer Lopez for Kohls and my signature LC By Lauren Conrad white blazer. Farm Fresh…

Happy Tuesday Loves! I am super excited to share today’s look and photos with you because they were taken out on eastern Long Island near wine country {may be slightly more exciting if I actually acquired the taste of wine…but hey one day I may mature who knows 😉 }. Sarah and I ventured out east to take some unique photos…definitely different than my norm because we used her fabulous photographer William Thomas! He captured our fits of laughter, the times when Sarah busts my chops (which by the way is all the time) and even some great shots of our corny matching plaid button down tops from Charlotte Russe (similar available from Target). Sarah and I have become close since discovering each other via instagram…you know where all great friendships start 😉 We are also Posh addicts…as in Poshmark. Now to break down my look 🙂 The plaid top while it is a button down, I decided to tie it in the front southern style. I paired it with a black skater skirt, and nude Report Shoes booties which I scored on clearance at Marshalls…gotta love a ‘Fab Found’ find! I’m also wearing a leopard and black leather cross body bag from Dana Buchman for Kohls.I couldn’t head out east without wearing my favorite Michael Kors gold link watch…it’s a bracelet and watch all mixed into one…what more can a gal ask for?Places and moments like these are why I love Long Island (it’s definitely a love/hate relationship). I love going out east and the big open spaces, laid back vibe and of course great picture taking locations 😉 When you want to escape the hustle and bustle of NYC…Long Island comes in handy. The Striped Skirt…

Happy Monday Loves! I’m posting a little later than usual because my schedule has been absolutely insane due to Fashion Week. I shared my NYFW Diary Part 1 with you over the weekend and now I’m breaking down my look from my day 1 festivities which included brunches, parties and fashion shows…every fashionistas dream…minus the running around in heels all day part…my poor feet will definitely deserve a massage at the end of this! My striped skirt which so many of you liked in my last post is from Target! Yes…Target! I fell in love with it the moment I spotted it and it was a big hit amongst my blogger friends at fashion week 🙂 My black cropped top is from the J Lo collection at Kohls and is on clearance for $12…now that’s my kind of deal! My rose necklace was a last minute Nordstrom find but I found a similar one here. My black open toe booties are from Nine West and are super comfortable…I was able to last from 11:00am – 8:00pm in them…now that’s a miracle in my eyes! My black quilted bag is of course the Rebecca Minkoff Affair Bag…has room for all my Fashion Week gear including my charger, almonds, make up etc. I had a busy day yesterday which I can’t wait to share with you guys as well and I am off to a few events later today and tomorrow so make sure to stay tuned and follow @MissyOnMadison on instagram for up to the minute coverage 🙂 Shop My Look <3

Happy Wednesday Loves! I love putting unexpected pieces together to create awesome looks…as my mom likes to say I put things together that look ‘weird’. Well while it may be weird to some, it’s fashion to me 😉 That’s what personal style is all about! I also attempted to put my hair up for a photo…I was digging it till my brother aka my photographer simply said ‘no’ while shaking his head…so the hair down it is.While I love denim shorts for a great casual look, I thought, why not dress them up with a simple white blouse and a crisp white blazer for a sophisticated look? Well here it is! To snazz up the white and denim basics, I paired my look with one of my obsessions, the Louis Vuitton Speedy Bag (I have two…both monogrammed with my initials…I may or may not have a slight designer addiction). Did you know that Louis Vuitton monograms all of their bags for free in store? Yea, I discovered this years after buying mine and they still did it for me! Now that’s customer service!My shoes were sent to me from Carolinna Espinosa. I love these sandals because of the thick block heel…we know what that means, comfortable! They are called the ‘Allentown‘ sandal and they are available now at Nordstrom.My white blazer is from my favorite line of blazers…LC By Lauren Conrad. Seriously all of her blazers fit me perfectly…I have yet to find another brand that suits me so well. The denim shorts? Abercrombie! Their shorts always fit me perfect…pretty surprising considering I’m not a 16 year old girl which is usually who wears their clothes, but hey I think Abercrombie is stepping up their game! My simple white printed blouse is from Old Navy (probably a clearance find…I never spend regular price there! I always find a coupon or a deal when it comes to Old Navy).Shop My Look <3
