Fierce For the Holidays!

Now don’t get me wrong, I love a LBD (little black dress) just as much as the next girl, but sometimes, especially for the Holidays why not snazz up that plain black dress with a little something extra.

In my case I’m referring to one of my favorite faux fur vests from Karen Kane. This vest instantly transforms an otherwise ‘plain’ dress into a stylish ensemble and will make you the talk of any party. I also love the leather detailing on this Karen Kane dress!

Pair it with simple black pumps and some chic bling and you got yourself an outfit!

One of my favorite things about winter? Layers, layers, layers! Nothing beats rocking a cute skirt and throwing on a sweater with a cute vest over it, maybe a scarf on top or a chambray top underneath…layering is what winter is all about!

I love this look. This printed skirt from Nordstrom just worked perfectly with this cropped LC By Lauren Conrad sweater from Kohls and pair it with fun suede booties (a $8 find at Burlington Coat Factory btw 😉 ) and a cute faux fur vest over it and you have yourself a great outfit for work or play!

Holiday Dressing – LBD

It’s that time of year when every gal has parties, events and cocktail hours to go to no matter what holiday you celebrate. Whether it’s a work function, a family gathering or even just a night out, you can never go wrong with a great fitting, LBD or as it’s often called ‘Little Black Dress’.

This peplum dress is an anti-wrinkle fabric, perfect for traveling and it is flattering on any silhouette. This beauty is by Karen Kane, a go to designer for dresses and work wear and best part? Affordable for every fashionista!

All About ‘Faux’

Today’s post is inspired by embracing ‘faux’. Whether it’s ‘faux’ leather or ‘faux’ fur…just because it isn’t real doesn’t mean it always looks cheap and cheesy.

The key to rocking the ‘faux’ look is to mix and match those pieces and dress them up to look like ‘high fashion’. Today’s OOTD does just that.

I’m wearing a faux fur vest from Karen Kane, faux leather leggings from Hue at Bloomingdales and paired them with simple black booties and a white sweater.

It’s a great fall into winter look that looks chic and also keeps you warm and cozy!
