And I will be your main squeeze….Happy Friday! For all of you that are a little lost as to where the title of this post came from (along with the first line of this post haha) well it is from a song that instantly got stuck in my head when I started searching for similar ‘lime moto jackets’ in google…Shwayze’s ‘Corona + Lime’…a summer hit circa 2009 (hey maybe my brother ‘Pop Culture Died in 2009‘ is right…the best stuff was from 2009 or earlier :p BTW these photos are a little flashback to Long Island days with my little bro…he shot these <3) Anyways, this lime look had me signing that song all night long while writing this post…especially the part where they sing ‘If you are looking for love put your hands up‘…here’s a secret for ya…my hand it raised 😉

So for real, I am ~~not~~ feeling the snow…like at all. I ~~hate~~ having to bundle up like an eskimo and I can’t stand my face freezing the second I walk out the door…but I guess Mother Nature feels us New Yorkers are strong enough to tough out these freezing weather conditions…I mean why else would we have to put up with these shenanigans 😉

Anyways one thing I am semi-ok with this season is the ability to wear faux fur vests every day along with OTK boots (these Target ones have become my obsession…for under $40 they should be yours too…just saying!)I may have mentioned in previous posts, but I was never one for animal prints. I feel they have to be done the right way to look nice without being tacky I suppose…and I think this faux fur leopard vest does just the trick. A little animal print layered over some simple key pieces is an easy go to…especially for a Friday when I’m rushing from the office then out to dinner, drinks (aka me not drinking) or events. My simple pieces: this black Lush button down + some comfy jeggings. I know a lot of people are against the jegging but listen…they are super comfortable and have the look and feel of jeans without me feeling suffocated all day long so they are a ‘win‘ in my book 😉

Accessory wise I kept things toned down…all black everything woo! Black ‘Mini Mac’ bag from Rebecca Minkoff + my black suede OTK boots from Target (on sale now!)

While I may look warm and snuggly in this look I can assure you I am not…I was freezing while shooting this so yea…wear a coat…especially this weekend (bracing myself for more snow ugh!) :p | Click To Shop + Share My Look |

LBD For NYE…

I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas! Mine was spent relaxing with my family, stuffing my face with delicious treats and of course…a trip to the movies (my brother and I saw ‘Big Eyes’ with the fabulous Amy Adams and Christoph Waltz…I fell in lone with Waltz’s acting after his hilarious role in ‘Inglorious Bastards’). The holiday season isn’t over just yet (I know we got the big Christmas spectacular out of the way) but now it’s time to focus on…you guessed it New Year’s and most importantly what to wear for NYE 2014!I have a few outfit ideas for the big night (don’t worry I will be sharing all of them with you amongst the next few days!) but this ‘all black’ LBD moment is a favorite of mine because it can be worn well past New Year’s Eve and is classy for any occasion (can you say Valentine’s Day date night outfit?!).I love wear faux fur in the winter and especially for the holiday season…added warmth + a chic look…nothing beats that! This vest is from Karen Kane but I found two similar options here + here (both for under $50!!)My LBD was purchased at Lord & Taylor a year ago but I found an identical version from Michael Kors on sale now at Macy’s (perfect way to spend that Christmas gift card Santa brought ya!). The fit and flare style is simple and looks great on any figure…my favorite part about this dress is the embellished collar which makes such a statement a necklace isn’t even required (although I did add a simple tear drop necklace here)Speaking of making a statement…this Louis Vuitton clutch is sure to do the trick! It’s actually considered a ‘toiletry pouch’ but I have been seeing women everywhere rocking it as a nice ‘going out’ clutch…just what NYE requires! White manicures are so chic in my opinion…every time I get one I get countless compliments and I feel it also brings more attention to the bling! On NYE I always want to shine like a star so these star bangles do the trick here, here + here. Amethyst is always my go to gemstone (it is my birthstone) so this ring makes me feel like I am engaged (dream engagement ring shape…just saying if one of you want to propose! JK) I had to go black with my shoes as well…I love these black patent leather peep toe pumps from Enzo Angiolini…they remind me of Christian Louboutins except for the price tag 😉 Hey it may have been Christmas but Santa didn’t leave any red bottoms under the tree just yet :p Not to mention, I don’t think any look is sexier on a gal than an ‘All Black’ ensemble…sometimes simplicity is key…especially for Holiday dressing 😉 | Click To Shop My NYE Look |

Thanksgiving Eve…

Happy Thanksgiving Eve Lovers! Ok, so yes this outfit wasn’t shot recently…I’m guessing it probably got shot about 2-3 months ago (yes…I have outfits stocked up in my iPhoto library from back then!) But when I discovered it I thought it would be the perfect bar hoping or club look for one of the most popular party nights of the year…Thanksgiving Eve! Ok so I’m not sure if the whole idea of going out for ‘Thanksgiving Eve’ is a Long Island thing or an every place thing but either way I truly believe you can’t go wrong with a simple skater skirt…pumps and a moto jacket. Easy, chic and sexy…just what bar or club hopping calls for! My moto jacket is from Karen Kane and while it’s no longer available, I found a similar one from ShopBop on sale here.My skater skirt and leopard pumps are both Target Style finds…which is always a win/win in my book…what gal doesn’t like affordable fashion 😉 Plus a simple black skater skirt and leopard heels are both key pieces for any fashionistas wardrobe.My bag was last year’s Christmas gift to myself…sorry but some of the best gifts are the gifts you give yourself right? 😉 I LOVE the Louis Vuitton Neverfull because it’s an all around go to bag…roomy, great quality and always timeless. Now for the bling factor. Both of my necklaces make perfect holiday gifts! The gold horizontal bar necklace has been a hot trend for the past year and it is a great piece for ladies of any age because it can be worn alone or layered on with other pieces to make a statement. I layered it here with my favorite star necklace because what gal doesn’t like to shine like a star? 😉 P.S. with Thanksgiving tomorrow not only does it mean a big meal but also the beginning of huge holiday sales! In The Village…

Happy Thursday Lovers! Today’s post has a fun backdrop because I teamed up with Perrier water to promote their new ‘street art’ inspired bottle design! I searched high and low on Long Island to find some funky street art and bam I found it…in the village…Huntington Village that is! When I hear the term ‘street art’ I would naturally gravitate towards NYC, Brooklyn or Queens, but my lovely Long Island surprised me with this awesome artwork painted on the side of a bar a half hour from my house. This is one village that isn’t part of the Manhattan social scene, but it definitely is the party time hot spot on the island!It was freezing when I shot this look…like the first day of winter cold…and this was two weeks ago…do you feel my pain yet? So over the cold and the season just started! While I am not a fan of winter weather, something I am a fan of is faux fur vests like this one from Karen Kane (similar available from Chicwish here). I love adding a faux fur vest to any look…what gal doesn’t want to feel edgy, feisty and fabulous right?I wore a simple white Old Navy sweater under the vest…black and white…you can never go wrong…oh yeah and I added some bling: Elephant Necklace & Initial Triangle Necklace (both of which make amazing gifts btw!) As for my arm party…I always gravitate towards my gold Michael Kors watch and this simple Marc Jacobs disc bangle. These pieces of bling go with any outfit and are perfect for fall layering! So in addition to my white sweater and my black faux fur vest another fall essential that I am all about is vegan leather leggings like these ones I’m wearing from Lysse! They are super comfortable, totally on trend and best of all? They can be dressed up or down something I am always about 😉 Once again…mirrored aviators and the new Perrier Street Art water bottles!I bought this Louis Vuitton Neverfull as a Christmas gift to myself last year (hey that’s what happens when you get bad holiday gifts…prevent that by shopping my holiday gift guides here, here & here. And these shoes are definitely a favorite of mine for fall. I have worn them a few times both with skirts and with pants: here, here & here….what can I say when I find a pair of comfortable and stylish shoes, I stick with them!P.S.
