Happy Monday lovers! I’m so excited about today’s post because not only am I sharing my new fav handbag for summer…this incredible Jelly Tote from Dominie Luxury, but also because I teamed up with Laila Rowe to give away this stunning statement necklace I’m rocking in this post 🙂 YAY! Also, if your wondering how I came up with the name of today’s post…it’s inspired from a line my dad always says…’Feelin Froggy, Wanna Leap?’, so I revamped it to ‘Feelin Jelly, Wanna Win?’…this man will never stop inspiring my creativity haha

First off, I fell in love when I spotted this bag…one of my first handbags as a young girl was a purple jelly log bag from Limited Too…I thought I was the coolest kid in the 3rd grade, little did I know years later that Jelly Bags would make their comeback, but in such a different way! Sad to say, but I’m writing this post not staring out at a gorgeous view in sunny California but looking out at flowers blooming back in NYC. That’s the thing about vacations they happen, they are amazing and then they end…back to reality. What can ya do!

Kristi was such a great host when I was in LA and she made sure I saw all the ‘must see’ tourist attractions, which of course meant…heading to Hollywood! We stopped by the Hollywood Sign, the Hollywood Walk Of Fame and the legendary Chinese Theater!

Casual Meets Sparkle

Leave it up to me to dress up an otherwise ordinary outfit with some brightly colored accessories to make a statement. There is something I love about adding a little glitz and glam to a casual outfit that calls for some glances. This outfit is one of those looks!

I scored this gray H&M sweater for $10…on clearance right before Christmas…yes people a $10 oversized sweater is pretty much a little slice of heaven to me! Naturally oversized sweaters look great with simple leggings like I’m wearing, but I have this thing for adding a little extra something weather it be a blazer, cardigan or in this case a denim vest.

Typically winter is a time for quilted puffer vests or faux fur vests (which if you’ve seen previous posts you know I certainly wear a lot of), but why not break the mold and go for denim…yes the whole point of a vest is a little extra warmth, but with an already warm and cozy sweater I think it’s just fine to go for a fashionable look and rock a little denim in the winter! It’s always a smart idea to think and dress outside the box!

As with every look, it’s all about the accessories. These Old Navy booties have lasted me 2 years of harsh weather conditions and are still as fabulous as the day I bought them. The color goes with practically everything and they are super comfortable! To add to the casual, laid back look, I went for a mini satchel cross-body bag from Rebecca Minkoff. The rose gold color adds a little extra glam to any outfit and it has enough room to fit all the essentials and lays perfectly.

Last but not least, my favorite part of this look…this H&M stunning necklace. I got this on clearance back in the spring and every time I wear it I cause a stir! It’s huge, sparkly and simply amazing! Adding a statement necklace to any ensemble adds a little extra ‘oomph’ that every fashionista desires!

‘Lust VS. Must’ – Quilted Blue Bag

I spotted this cobalt blue beauty on a few fashion bloggers and I instantly fell in love. Naturally I have taste for the finer things in life, however I certainly don’t have the budget to buy them, so on this week’s edition of ‘Lust vs. Must’ I bring to you the cheaper yet still chic version of the cobalt blue Chanel bag I fell head over *heels* for!

While I couldn’t find an exact price on this Chanel show stopper, I’m sure it’s in the thousands, so I found a few great options to try!

My ‘Must’ piece I actually purchased myself. It’s by the brand ‘Paradox’ available at Lord & Taylor and with all the sales and coupons only cost me $99! See how I styled it: here.

Some other great quilted blue bag options I found are also reasonably affordable. I happen to have a love for Rebecca Minkoff, especially her handbags, so I fell in love when I found her ‘Affair’ bag in blue! You can get the large version with studs at either Nordstrom or Zappos, or the ‘mini’ version without studs at Nordstrom!

If your a Michael Kors fan your in luck! Michael has a great quilted blue bag on sale at Piperlime for $213! I love the metal closure on the front and it’s also a perfect going out bag since it’s small and compact!
