Happy Friday Lovers! Today I’m ‘Back Packing’ and I am not talking about through Europe…I’m referring to this fabulous suede back pack from Last Call Neiman Marcus. After leaving elementary school oh so many years ago, I definitely never planned on rocking the one strap back pack again in this life time…and yes the only wear to rock a back pack is with the one strap…who two straps anymore, for real? 😉 Well I fell in love with this little knapsack when I spotted it while shopping for shoes (I always get distracted while shopping…oops…typical girl problem). Back to my first topic…back packing through Europe…while I love to travel and hopefully I will get to do more of it in the years to come (can you say New Years Resolution anyone?) One thing I am truly terrified about is back packing through Europe…I suppose I’ve seen one too many horror flicks and am convinced that I would get into some tragic mess if I actually conquered some courage and went for it…so for now rocking a back pack is the first step haha!My top and skirt are both from BCBG at Lord & Taylor. I love the whole A-Symmetrical skirt trend for fall (even if I will be freezing in it) and why not be matchy matchy with a chic cropped top like this one. I dressed down these pieces in this post but I actually dressed them up a few weeks ago here.My baby blue faux leather moto jacket is actually from Kohls…like I tell everyone, don’t under estimate affordable fashion…anything is possible…like this amazing jacket! So like I mentioned my back pack is from Last Call Neiman Marcus and you can shop it here (on sale now!) Then to make this look real old school…some chuck taylors! Day To Night…

TGIF Lovers! I’m happy to share a new ‘Day To Night’ transition look today because 9 out of 10 times the first thing I’m doing after a long day at work is heading to happy hour or a little dinner with the girls. When rushing around (especially in NYC) or even Long Island for that matter, I sometimes don’t have time to change into something different than what I wore earlier in the day…case and point, this outfit here 🙂I love everything about this look head to toe because I feel comfortable, confident and sexy in it all at the same time…something that not every outfit could provide. While everyone typically opts for a traditional black blazer for a day at the office or even a night out, I always love to think outside the box and rock white. This white boyfriend blazer is the perfect fit and can go from day to night…what’s better than that.To add even more color I wore a cropped purple cami like this one. It is a nice silk material and looks like a professional blouse when worn under a blazer so it is office appropriate or happy hour ready. While black distressed skinny jeans are ok for casual Friday in some offices, I know they aren’t widely accepted everywhere so an easy fix is to just rock non-distressed black skinny jeans like these (on sale now at Banana Republic) or black skinny dress pants like these…if you can do distressed I highly suggest these ones from TopShop.My bling is simple and layered…just the way I like it. Not too much for the board room yet trendy enough for an early evening outing. While both pieces are no longer available at their perspective retailers, I found a simple elephant necklace here + horizontal bar necklace here. Midi-Rings are here + here.The Rebecca Minkoff Affair Bag is my go to bag for going out. It’s not too small but not too big…it’s just right 😉 My shoes are not Valentino Rockstud Pumps although they look pretty similar! Mad For Plaid…

Happy Monday Loves! So I’m thinking it’s time to reveal a little bit more of me in my blog posts other than simply breaking down my looks…let’s get real…watchya think? Well for starters, this outfit was shot yesterday at my old stomping grounds…my elementary school! I felt so old being there but easily forgot about that the second I saw an adorable King Charles Cavalier (the same breed as my little Charlie) walk by in between photos…Not sure if this is just me but the second I see a cute little dog my voice instantly turns into a high pitch squeal as if I was talking to an infant…it’s a bit embarrassing but hey it’s a little quirk I have!Other than my obsession with adorable dogs, I have obsessing over plaid this fall, especially from Old Navy. I rocked a black and white plaid flannel last week on the blog and opted to add a little color with this red and blue plaid flannel here. I always want to add color no matter what the season…it’s another little quirk of mine.Speaking of color…I ended up buying this blue faux leather tote from Old Navy that I had on last week’s Weekend Wish List here. It’s perfect for work or play and I love the cobalt blue hue for fall to add a little extra ‘pop’. My booties are from Report Shoes and were a Marshalls ‘Fab Found’ purchase but I found them here at 6pm.com.An outfit is never complete without subtle hints of bling (or in my case not so subtle…oops). Happy Tuesday lovers I am finally facing reality that I need to accept that the weather on Long Island and in the Big Apple is cold…so that means time for some serious fall outfits…like this flannel one from Old Navy! I am loving flannel for fall…real innovative I know, but another thing I am especially obsessed with this fall…Old Navy and no they aren’t sponsoring this post, I just have a slight addiction to their sales, deals and steals. They have tons of different flannel button downs all on sale for 30% off till tomorrow with code ‘SAVE‘ (on top of the already reduced prices!)…Can you say time to shop?!My black quilted vest was an Old Navy find as well except it is from last year and no longer available, so I found a similar one from Banana Republic that is just if not more amazing here. I also have a thing for a little faux leather for fall…these Lysse faux leather trim leggings are not just comfortable but also can be dressed up or down for a day to night look, plus these look mint with flannel don’t ya think? 😉 Had to of course include a little sparkle with this Kendra Scott Druszy ring…I swear this was one of the best blogger gifts I have ever received. I had to add a pop of color to this black and white look with this Olivia & Joy bag available in black and red! I switched up my watch game with this post by opting for a little silver rather than my ever favorite gold link watch…but I think I will have to start wearing this silver one a lot more.My shoes are actually from Payless, but I found a similar pair from Dolce Vita here. Happy Monday Loves! I once again am beating Monday blues with a little…Blue! I am OBSESSED with the whole moto jacket trend for fall…and I love it even more when I can find great ones at an affordable price like this powder blue moto jacket from Apt.9 at Kohls! Never doubt the possibility of finding a great trend piece for less without forgoing on quality 😉 So time to reveal a little secret…A few people have asked on here and on instagram about if the weather where I am is still warm…well no not really haha. My brother shoots my outfits and we tend to shoot a bunch of looks at a time so I have looks I’ve shot in the warmer weather that will be sprinkled in amongst colder weather looks on the blog. I definitely couldn’t have rocked this skirt ensemble yesterday because it was FREEZING on Long Island…I only got one outfit shot because I was too chicken to fight the cold…pretty sure I’m meant to be in warmer climate lol (insert monkey covering eyes emoji here)Now let’s break down the look…My white crop top is from J Lo for Kohls and you can score it now for…drum roll please $4! YES $4. Dress it up, dress it down and wear it season to season. And I made it perfect for fall by layering the moto jacket and adding a cute black floppy hat. A simple black scuba skirt is always a sure bet to tie a look together and the best part is that it is a transitional piece to wear year round.I had to have my traditional ‘Pop Of Color’ by adding this magenta Rayne necklace from Kendra Scott…what better way to bring summer into the fall / winter.These black suede boots have been an absolute life saver when it comes to easily feeling sexy in the cold fall weather.
