Today I am…sittin’ pretty (on the blog here at least). Currently I am wrapped in a towel sitting on my bed watching re-runs of ‘Girlfriends’ Guide To Divorce’ (best show ever btw! current obsession) and relaxing after my return to the Big Apple today for my first day at my new job…which I LOVE! It’s crazy how sometimes things just fall perfectly into place…when you feel like you truly belong somewhere and your voice is heard…it’s a great feeling let me tell ya and if you haven’t experienced it yet, don’t worry one day you will.

I kept being anti-winter and anti NYC weather for the longest time but with looks like this, I can begin to embrace a little cold here and there 😉 Typically when I begin to put a look together I base it around one key piece…today’s would clearly be this great shearling vest that I got at a local boutique by me but I found similar options here, here + here. I LOVE a great vest and this shearling one keeps me warm and cozy…win/win!I really wanted the vest to take center stage so I paired it with a simple white cable knit sweater and black ripped jeans (both are winter staples in my book)! I always think Old Navy has the best cable knit sweaters but maybe that’s because I love a great bargain as well 😉 And my favorite part…bag and shoes! I am OBSESSED with these leopard ankle strap sandals that I snagged for…$7 at DSW! Yes, you heard me…$7! While they are no ~~longer~~ available I found you guys options here + here (all affordable, don’t you worry)!As you all know…I love Rebecca Minkoff and her fabulous ‘Affair’ bag available with free shipping from Zappos here. And even in the winter months I still need my mirrored aviators…they just add a little ‘pop’ to any look don’t ya think?Alright I think that’s all for now folks…I am half asleep and need some rest to get ready for another busy day in NYC! Why hello there and Happy Friday! It was brought to my attention by my mother dearest that she finds it ‘~~annoying~~‘ when I write ‘Hello Lovers’ or ‘Happy (insert day) Lovers’ at the beginning of all of my blog posts so I’m going to attempt to switch things up (because mom knows best after all…right?). Well that little comment A) made me laugh / smile because she actually reads my blog + B) made me wonder what is one thing that drives my readers’ mom’s nuts that they do? Is it a phrase or word you gals use? Is it a certain type of food you like to eat? Is it a musician you like? The possibilities are endless and I’d LOVE for you to share with me what bugs your mama dukes (hey if we ~~can’t~~ laugh and joke about it who else will?) :p

Ok, so besides discussing what irritates our mothers, let’s take a moment to break down a new winter outfit (that yes is FINALLY weather appropriate) 😉 Yes, I acknowledge that some of the outfits I share aren’t ideal for the cool temperatures this winter has brought to NY, but hey like I said…I wish it was spring/summer year round #SorryNotSorry My love for an Old Navy cable knit sweater has become quite apparent this week on the blog (I wore this brown one on Wednesday here + I wore the baby blue one yesterday here)…I guess you can say a classic cable knit sweater has become a winter staple for me! It can be dressed up or down and truly keeps me cozy at all times…which is essential for this bitter cold weather which I so desperately need to escape haha (can you say vacation?!)I always wear white when I want, how I want because I rarely ~~follow~~ the rules (hey if I did it would only be worn a few months out of the year and I would miss it dearly). So white skinny jeans and a white puffer vest (which I am selling on my Poshmark here) were bound to happen…winter white anyone?I have the toughest time finding tall boots because my calves require ‘wide calf’ in almost every style but then when I get wide calf they fit too big and are unflattering…well to my surprise my friends over at NYLA solved my quandry with these OTK (over the knee…don’t worry I just picked up on that abbreviation about 24 hours ago) suede riding boots that stretch around your calf similar to the Stuart Weitzman 50/50 boot except these beauties retail for under $75…making them a ‘MUST’ in my book.Because I occasionally like to be ‘matchy matchy‘ I had to rock my last year’s Christmas gift to myself…the Louis Vuitton Neverfull in Damier. This bag comes with me everywhere…and I literally mean everywhere…Target, Manhattan, JFK…you name it, it’s been there along for the ride.I try to keep the accessory game on point at all times so here ya go: Mirrored Aviators, Caravelle New York Watch, Stone Necklace, Initial Triangle Necklace….and they all make great ~~last minute~~ Holiday gifts 😉 😉 I actually (for about all of 10 minutes before freezing) felt like embracing the winter weather…like I mentioned short lived 😉 | Click To Shop My Look |

Happy Monday Lovers! I’m bringing a little warmth back to the blog with this whimsical white pleated dress that I loved all summer long except I had to somewhat make it transition to the colder fall and winter months…my solution? A motorcycle jacket of course 😉 And yes to answer your question, I was freezing when shooting this over the weekend…but how does the old saying go? Pain is beauty…in this case toughing out the cold NY weather is the cost to look halfway decent on the blog haha I love all things girly girl and in case this look didn’t scream ‘girly‘, I will reassure you that not every girl loves pleated dresses but It’s an essential for every fashionista to have in their closet. Whether it’s a pleated skirt or even a dress like the one I’m wearing, it’s a timeless piece that will never go out of style and that’s something I can always get behind. I honestly can’t remember where I got this dress but I found two similar options here + here. To make the look a little edgier, I layered a black motorcycle jacket over it which A) kept me semi warm while shooting + B) Made the look a little less ‘frilly’ and ‘girly’ than it has typically looked previously. I found a motorcycle jacket I LOVE from Piperlime and it retails for under $50 now that’s what I call a steal!Now to break down the shoe and bag game…which is always my favorite part of any look. What a girl can’t love her shoes and bags? 😉 My nude ankle strap sandals have been a favorite of mine to wear on the blog for a while now because A) Nude shoes make you look taller and for a 5’3 shortie like me, I could use all the height I could get to pretend to be a model haha! + B) They match with EVERYTHING! They are available for under $50 at 6pm.com here.My bag was a TJ Maxx clearance find but I found a similar one from Nordstrom except in a different shade. I can never get enough of the design of the Rebecca Minkoff Affair Bag and this mini one is no excpetion…plus it came in the girliest of colors…pink! What else can a gal ask for?!I also opted to rock some sunnies once again and instead of going to my favorite mirrored aviators, I switched things up with black ones here.On a side note I became obsessed with a new song over the weekend which I am currently listening to while writing this post. It’s called ‘Say Something’ from Karen Harding and all I want to do is basically dance my a** off every time I hear it (sorry mom but yea I curse…even on the blog). Happy Monday Lovers! Today I’m kicking off a new ‘Guide’ series on the blog…I’ve already begun posting ‘Holiday Gift Guides’ to help you guys find the perfect gifts for your loved ones this holiday season but now comes the fun part…’How To Dress For The Holidays!’ Dressing for the holidays is always a tricky thing…you never know how fancy / dressed up to be and what should you wear to stand out without over doing it while still being respectful to your family members or friends whom you are spending the holiday season with? Well I’ve come up with a few different solutions starting with this lovely look featuring a statement making sequin skirt from Lord & Taylor available here on sale!To make this sequin skirt a little less dress I styled it with a peach button down blouse from Old Navy (similar one available from Tibi here. The best part? The button down can be worn for work as well so it’s not like your buying a blouse to only be worn once for a holiday dinner! I love any piece that can serve multiple purposes 😉 My holiday hair do? Simple yet chic…you can get my look by following my ‘Long Hair Don’t Care’ hair tutorial here! Now to break down my accessories…I love signature pieces of bling for every day life as well as holiday dressing. In this look I’m rocking a rose gold Marc by Marc Jacobs watch (which would make an awesome gift for the fashionista in your life BTW!) + a signature initial bangle (similar versions here + here…both make great gifts as well).My bag is a classic tote style from the Neiman Marcus collection from Last Call Neiman Marcus. It comes in a variety of colors but for this look I decided brown would be perfect (once again Thanksgiving festive but also practical to wear to the office or on the weekend). These heels are an oldie but a goodie…the Coach ‘Lavania’ Heel. They come in two different hues (both perfect for fall) black and taupe…you can shop them here from 6pm. (P.S.
