‘Red’y for Fall…

Happy Wednesday Loves! I couldn’t wait to share this look with you A) because I am OBSESSED with this red leather skirt and B) because it is a great ‘fall ready’ look…get it ‘red’y…ready…yea I amuse myself at times 😉 Anyways, I think I may wear this look for this week / weekend’s NYFW festivities…best part? It’s all affordable…true Missy fashion! My red leather skirt is from Lord & Taylor…I love the fit, color and shape. Perfect for the office or any occasion for that matter, you can’t go wrong with a classy skirt, especially one that pops! My white crop top is from J Lo for Kohls…crazy right? I love the fit because it doesn’t look like a crop top, sometimes they can be a bit scandalous, but this one is chic and even office appropriate. I also wanted to add a little extra red to my ensemble with this rose and stud necklace. Rebecca Minkoff always gets me…especially with this classic quilted ‘Affair’ bag. Definitely one of my go to pieces for Fashion Week! I’m going to miss my neon pink nail polish…I love it so much but today I am finally getting a fall manicure. Any suggestions?! Once again rocking the black suede pumps from Steve Madden…when you find a fashion staple, you will wear it constantly! (These beauties have lasted me years!) Shop My Look<3

Happy Tuesday Loves! I hope you all enjoyed the long holiday weekend, I know I sure did! While I’d like to say I spent the weekend relaxing…I was actually prepping myself for Fashion Week which begins on Thursday! Don’t worry I’ll be sharing my essentials with you on Thursday, along with coverage from the parties, events and shows I attend (I am SO excited!). It has always been my dream since I was a youngster to attend NYFW in any way, shape or form, so this season I am excited to not only catch up with my LA blogger pals who are flying in for the festivities but also to network with some of my idols in the industry 🙂 Anyways…back to the focus of today…reptile prints and crochet shorts…yes…shorts in the fall, why not?My black crochet shorts are from Urban Outfitters, I found similar ones from ChicWish because I bought these babies on clearance probably two years ago and they are no longer available. I love this reptile printed button down blouse from Old Navy for fall. It’s ideal for the office, date night or even a casual look…dress it up or dress it down…it should definitely be in your fall wardrobe rotation. I found a similar blouse at Gilt and at Lord & Taylor since this style is no longer available at Old Navy. I love this black reptile print Neiman Marcus Last Call tote because it looks just like a Celine bag but for a fraction of the cost. It fits all the essentials while still making a statement…once again, one of my fall must haves! My black suede pumps are from Steve Madden. Every gal needs a classic black pump and these are a fall / year round go to of mine 🙂 Not sure if this look is 100% office appropriate, but I do believe it is street style approved for New York Fashion Week! Happy Thursday loves! So this past outfit shoot I decided to listen to the advice of my friends and fellow bloggers and try some photos without sunglasses…just me and the eyes to my sole haha…not really but you get my point. Anyways…Holy Chic, I’m a bit obsessed with this tee from Old Navy, especially because it is on sale now for $10! I love a ‘Look For Less’! Although I opted for a ‘Black & White’ look with my black Forever 21 skater skirt with leather trim and black Steve Madden pumps, I had to add a little extra something…NEON! I found this BCBG neon clutch at Last Call Neiman Marcus (similar available here) and I fell in love!I also wanted to add a little snazz with this rose necklace. Fun Fact…my middle name is rose, a rose for Melissa Rose 🙂 On a side note, I began free lancing for this amazing site called Toovia…has all my favorite things wrapped into one…style, fashion, food, music…you name it they got it…including amazing shopping! TGIF! I decided to embrace a little green today with a great day to night essential…a chic pencil skirt! The lovelies over at Mixx Collection created this piece just for me and added a little sexy to a usually ‘professional’ and conservative piece. Now with me…being conservative is occasionally boring…why not live on the edge and sex it up a bit right?Since the skirt was a full ‘Pop Of Color’ on it’s own, I decided the best way to style it was to go neutral! Sometimes you can’t have a color overflow otherwise you look like a rainbow…which in some occasions may be suiting, but for a day to night look I think let’s let one piece pop…the skirt!You can never go wrong with a classy pair of black suede pumps. These ones are by Steve Madden and are super comfortable…once again knowing me they were on sale although I can’t guarantee where from haha {shopping problems} If you guys didn’t get sick of me rocking my black studded Rebecca Minkoff Affair Bag then you will love this one 🙂 The size, shape and design of this bag is perfect and now I bought it in a unique color scheme…sometimes one color gets old soooo I opted for brown with a neon trim 😉 Stand out ladies!Layered jewels and chic sunnies are always a good idea my friends. Sometimes the bling and the shades pulls the entire look together…especially classic tortoise shell shades and simple dainty pieces like my Hamsa Hand necklace, Star necklace and Skull necklace 🙂This picture is a bit of a ‘Flashback Friday’ moment not with the outfit, but with how I used to have my dad take all of my outfit pictures in front of my house in the morning before heading to work when I initially started my blog. Now months later I upgraded…to my little sister haha (keep it in the family) and to a nice Canon t3i Rebel camera <3

With Father’s Day Around the corner I am appreciating my dad more than ever…including his ‘Words Of Wisdom‘. If you haven’t read them please do…they are priceless pieces of advice that I wish I would listen to more often hahaShop My Look <3
