Labor Day Weekend means two things… 1. A weekend of relaxation by the pool + some fun in the sun AND 2. Time for some awesome SALES! I am rounding up some of my favorite sales below + a bunch of my sale picks above (I am beyond excited about fall fashion + how these pieces above are all on SALE this weekend).
Yay for Fri-Y A Y! It’s crazy to think that the Holiday’s are right around the corner and that calls for tons of dresses, glitz + glam. Now while I am in full support of glitter, sparkle and a chic LBD…why not try a new look this season? Maybe a little fringe paired with some leather? Edgy Holiday…here it is!The whole look is based around this Coffee Shop Coats fringe leather jacket. Nothing screams edgy like leather and fringe, this jacket is perfect for a night out, weekend errands and even your upcoming parties! Why not add a little extra sass to the ordinarily boring Holiday dresses, jumpsuits and looks…Fringe is in, give it a whirl! Traditionally leather jackets are paired with skinny jeans or a casual look and adding heels dresses the look up.
Let’s break down the accessories. Ok…so mirrored Ray Bans aren’t necessarily ‘Holiday Party‘ attire (I mean you will be inside for some egg nog + yummy aux devoirs) but they make you feel cool, calm and collected on the way to the party.
My Rebecca Minkoff Affair bag is great for Holiday parties (and beyond). The quilted design is dressy and it has a ton of room for all of your party essentials (extra hairspray, lip gloss, back up phone charger etc.).
As for my shoes…well these are bound to make a statement at any party. The fringe detail and the sandal design adds flair and shows off your pedi for any occasion! Here are a few of my favorites:
Feels like spring spirit! I was beyond thrilled at how warm NYC was yesterday…I actually got to show some leg (an appropriate amount of course…) and not have to bundle up in layers…Spring has Sprung! This look is the epitome of spring…white skinny jeans, bright colors, white pumps and a signature pair of sunnies…out with the dark hues and in with shades of light! This ensemble was shot back when I was in Florida for my Birthday a few weeks ago and I am already itching for another trip (seriously is it May yet…LA here I come)! Yesterday was a busy work day…I brought four of my blogger gal pals to Kleinfeld to have their very own Cinderella moment in honor of the movie coming to theaters Friday and let’s just say it was a magical afternoon 😉 Follow @KleinfeldBridal to find out more…but as for my outfit…well you have to read on to get your own ‘happily ever after‘ :pSpeak of color, I had to wear this blue face Michael Kors watch again for this post (yes I know I just wore it Monday#SorryNotSorry :p) When an outfit has so many different colors sometimes to pull the look together, a chic classic bag is necessary like the black quilted ‘Affair’ bag from Rebecca Minkoff here. And naturally a killer pair of sunnies (especially bright ones like these) are needed to really embrace the warmer weather and to make a statement.
I must admit I have a slightobsession with white…white jeans…white pumps#AllWhiteEverything…with a ‘Pop Of Color‘ of course 😉 Although white is a challenge to keep clean, when worn properly it is so classy, chic, fresh and clean…and it can match with so many different options and in the spring I am always wanting to mix and match!
Happy Monday Loves! I’m posting a little later than usual because my schedule has been absolutely insane due to Fashion Week. I shared my NYFW Diary Part 1 with you over the weekend and now I’m breaking down my look from my day 1 festivities which included brunches, parties and fashion shows…every fashionistas dream…minus the running around in heels all day part…my poor feet will definitely deserve a massage at the end of this! My striped skirt which so many of you liked in my last post is from Target! Yes…Target! I fell in love with it the moment I spotted it and it was a big hit amongst my blogger friends at fashion week 🙂 My black cropped top is from the J Lo collection at Kohls and is on clearance for $12…now that’s my kind of deal! My rose necklace was a last minute Nordstrom find but I found a similar one here. My black open toe booties are from Nine West and are super comfortable…I was able to last from 11:00am – 8:00pm in them…now that’s a miracle in my eyes! My black quilted bag is of course the Rebecca Minkoff Affair Bag…has room for all my Fashion Week gear including my charger, almonds, make up etc. I had a busy day yesterday which I can’t wait to share with you guys as well and I am off to a few events later today and tomorrow so make sure to stay tuned and follow @MissyOnMadison on instagram for up to the minute coverage 🙂 Shop My Look <3
Happy Wednesday Loves…I’m writing this post while watching the Real Housewives Of NY reunion…can you say drama? Well in the spirit of making a splash, I figured I’d share one of my favorite looks…a chic LBD (little black dress, duh!).
While getting ‘gussied’ up as my mom calls it, she asked if I was heading to prom (probably because I was applying red lipstick, something totally out of my norm)…well 5 years too late mom, but any who I wanted to wear a flirty, sexy and fun little dress, I never went to my prom, so I guess this is as close as it’s going to get 😉 Black head to toe, in my opinion is one of the classiest looks any lady can rock. I love when I see quotes like ‘Pink Is The New Black’ or ‘*insert term here* is the new Black’…I believe black will always be ‘black’, classy, timeless and elegant, and that’s exactly what this look is.My black patent leather pumps as well as my dress are from Lord & Taylor (love all their amazing sales and coupons!). While my Enzo Angiolini heels and my Guess dress are no longer available, I found a great pair of patent leather peep toe pumps from Michael Kors and a fabulous black sweetheart dress from Nasty Gal!
Like I’ve shared a few times, the Rebecca Minkoff Affair Bag should be part of every stylish gals wardrobe. It can be dressed up or down, has tons of room and will never go out of style…how can quilted leather ever be ‘out’?My purple statement making jewelry is from Capwell + Co’s sample sale! Seriously obsessed, purple is my favorite color and nothing helps the classic LBD stand out like some serious sparkle! While I love dressing up, whether it’s for an event, party or ‘just because’ one of the many problems I run into is the unavoidable foot pain I get a few hours into wearing a killer pair of heels…but I found a solution! KushyFoot has a great line of roll up ballet flats that fit perfectly into your handbag, even the tiniest of going out bags and they are instant foot pain relief! The roll up flats come in a variety of colors and designs, and these Snake Print ones are a favorite of mine. They actually go with my outfit…how great is that? No worries about looking too ‘sloppy’ after taking off your heels! Now that I’m prepared for a fun night out, all I need is a place to go…isn’t that the problem we all have…all dressed up but no place to go? Sometimes you just need to sex things up a bit, no occasion required ladies 😉
