Why blend in when you were born to stand out? Well for the purposes of this post, I am choosing to blend in 😉 It’s rare that your dress perfectly matches your surroundings, and when it happens you know you have to snap some photos! This Shabby Apple dress has become my summer time go-to because it’s easy, comfy and stands out in it’s own unique way…pair it with different accessories to dress it up or down and it’s a piece that can be worn all summer long.
I never was one for Boho Chic style to be completely honest. I find myself to be more of a preppy girly girl or ‘Charlotte York’ inspired sophisticate…but when in LA, it is practically mandatory to have one or two ‘go to‘ Boho Chic ensembles and this happens to be one of them 😉 When the temperature heats up and exploring begins…desert vibes and ‘golden hour’ (referring to the best time to take outdoor photos) make great times for new outfit inspo (who would have thought I would enjoy boho style past Coachella haha :p)
1. ‘Stay Fancy’ Wine Glass // 2. ‘Hey Gorgeous’ Pillow // 3. Vintage Pay Phone Wall Phone // 4. LED Heart Light // 5. ‘Be Happy Always’ Trinket Tray // 6. Pineapple Candle // 7. ‘Aqua’ Home Ambiance Perfume
Now that I am finally living on my own, the most exciting part? (After piles of bills of course :p) Picking out ‘pretty little things‘ for the apartment. I love decorative accents that can be scattered around the space and can instantly add a little personality to any look. Much like with everyday dressing…it is all about the accessories + the pretty little details…

And the holiday weekend has unfortunately come to a close…Back to the rise and grind (ugh isn’t that the worst? A Monday after a nice, relaxing holiday weekend…#LegitTorture). I successfully survived my first 4th Of July in LA…naturally it was filled with outfit shoots, frozen yogurt and some fireworks (because I don’t care where I am living…a 4th Of July requirement for me is to see fireworks…Like I said, I am still a kid inside :p)
I can’t believe it is 4th Of July weekend already! I am happily writing this post by the pool at my apartment building since I have the day off today (so thrilling!) and this is actually a little bit of a flashback to LI while also sharing some July 4th style! I realized as I was editing these photos that A) These were shot in March (guess I was feeling patriotic vibes early haha) + B) All of these photos had what appears to be a blue filter over them…I am thinking my brother was having some mechanical difficulties with the camera that day but nonetheless they came out pretty sweet!
