🌸 Everything Is Coming Up…Cherry Blossoms 🌸

I am so excited about today’s post ya’ll for SO many reasons! Not just am I obsessed with this WAYF floral wrap dress, BUT I can’t get over how gorgeous these Cherry Blossoms are at the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens. I have been holding on to these photos for a little bit since I got so swamped with some other content but now FINALLY I get to share this gorgeous shoot I did in NYC!

All of my years living in NYC I never visited the Brooklyn Botanical Garden, let alone heard of it (I know, I know I need to get more cultured) but in reality I was so busy with my day to day life, I never took time in NY to fully explore everything the city that never sleeps has to offer!

Anyways, I finally got to see the Cherry Blossoms in bloom + I paired the perfect dress with my surroundings, this WAYF floral wrap dress. Not only is this dress chic + affordable, it is beyond flattering on so many different figures!

I have been obsessed with WAYF for a while now (their spring + summer dresses have been at the forefront of my closet hehe :p) + their lightweight dresses are ideal for warm summer days, especially humid, hot NYC days (although these photos were shot in the dreery mist of an NYC day, not the hot, humid weather NYC is experiencing now), still looks amazing though right?!

I paired this dress with simple nude patent leather pumps (my go to since they match with everything) + a bright pop of color with this red Gucci bag.

I love neutral pieces paired with bright, bold colors, they make for the best combinations when it comes to chic style.

If there is one thing you should invest in, it is a great pair of nude pumps (I personally love these patent leather ones since they look chic, clean + stylish with every outfit).

Living in LA I don’t wear pumps for my day to day schedule anymore (unless I have business meetings or events) and being back in NYC, wearing my pumps it felt like home. When I was living in NY everyday I dressed up, everyday I felt like Carrie Bradshaw + everyday I opted to walk around NYC in pumps. Wearing these beauties surrounded by Cherry Blossoms on a gorgeous spring day in NY couldn’t have felt better ♥

A lot of people ask me which I like better, NY or LA? To be honest, both cities are polar opposites + I love each in their own way but no matter how far away I may be from the city that never sleeps, it will always be my home.

When I got this dress I instantly thought it was perfect for Easter with it’s long maxi style + wrap silhouette it is flattering, stylish + also chic enough for Sunday service or brunch or even dinner! Whether you are looking for a feminine little princess moment or just a classic spring ensemble this look is sure to put a little ‘spring‘ in your step!

Wayf Clothing make the cutest dresses in my opinion – they are at a reasonable price point, available at all of your favorite stores like Nordstrom, Bloomingdales, Dillards etc AND they have a wide size range so every gal can look beautiful this spring!

I paired it with classic white pumps (a key must-have for your spring into summer wardrobe) + the trendy pearl handbag you are seeing all over Instagram! The designer version is $500+ but this one is just $70 from Amazon. Honestly, I see this bag as the adult version of an Easter basket haha! How cute is it? Perfect for special occasions or every day wear.

♥ Embracing a little flower power while getting excited for spring ♥

We may still be in February but I am full steam ahead dreaming of spring weather! I am always a fan of floral print, so when I spotted this Wayf wrap dress, I instantly fell in love. Whether you are heading on a romantic date night, a little brunch date with the gals or a little vacay, this dress is the epitome of chic + stylish.

Sometimes when I see floral print I think of The Devil Wears Prada…you know the line…’Florals for Spring‘? Groundbreaking’ hehe :p but I think this dress is actually groundbreaking for spring haha no sass attached

Tonight is the Night! N e w Year’s E V E! I can’t believe 2015 is coming to a close + I will be spending New Year’s Eve in LA for the first time E V E R!! Woohoo! While traditionally NYE for me was spent watching the Times Square ball drop from the comfort of my own living room with my family, this year I’ll be ringing in the New Year with some friends in Hollywood! Yup…Hollywood..am I a celeb yet? JK :pFunny enough I tend to stick with classic pieces when it comes to holiday/party dressing. Last year I wore this same shaggy coat + a LBD for New Year’s as well…hey if it ain’t broke, why fix it…right? While my exact dress + coat aren’t available anymore, I found similar options below 🙂

I love this Michael Kors snakeskin clutch for special occasions. It matches with everything and the material (since it is faux and not real snakeskin) is easy to clean — drinks getting spilled at the party are ~~no match~~ for this baby 😉

Vince Camuto always makes comfortable shoes, so these gladiator heels are ideal for a long night out and can withstand hours of dancing and standing at any party! And since NYE is a night to get glam…red lipstick is a must!
