Since moving to LA I learned that just because the weather is warm and makes me want to wear dresses and bright colors all the time, LA natives rarely do! Isn’t it funny how NYers crave the warmth and light layers while LA natives desperately want to wear dark hues, coats and winter wear? I guess it’s like the old saying goes…you always want what you don’t have huh? 😉
I always thought wearing all black was a bit morbid but hey maybe it can be a little sexy? I am obsessed with this long sleeve criss cross top from AMI Clubwear — clearly it’s become a trend as of recent because I have been seeing tops like this all over…a few of my favorites are below!
I paired it with my favorite ‘going’ out pants…leggings haha (who said leggings can’t be sexy)! These leather leggings from Hue are great for work or play and paired with this top make for one #flawless look that’s both comfortable yet stylish!
With an all black look, the accessories really have to P O P + make a statement…these AMI Clubwear silver gladiator heels certainly do the trick! They are super comfortable (shocking I know) AND they can match with everything!! Win / Win!
M o n d a y…every week I feel like it comes sooner and sooner. I’ve been MIA this past week…sometimes you need to just take a step back, relax and take a moment to breath. After a busy week at work, a mini trip to San Francisco and experiencing my first ever USC football game over the weekend (I am a true Cali gal now :p) it’s about time I got back to the blog. A week long break was long enough 😉
As if the title and this outfit didn’t already speak for itself, the second I put together this look I instantly thought ‘Grease Lightening’! The leather pants and bomber jacket remind me of the movie Grease haha This leather look was shot last fall on Long Island (amazing the outfits I still have in my iPhoto library). Even though it is an oldie, it is still a goodie. These Hue Leatherette Leggings are my fall go to. They are comfy, sexy and now as the temperature in LA drops, they are perfect to wear.
Happy Thursday Lovers! Today’s post has a fun backdrop because I teamed up with Perrier water to promote their new ‘street art’ inspired bottle design! I searched high and low on Long Island to find some funky street art and bam I found it…in the village…Huntington Village that is! When I hear the term ‘street art’ I would naturally gravitate towards NYC, Brooklyn or Queens, but my lovely Long Island surprised me with this awesome artwork painted on the side of a bar a half hour from my house. This is one village that isn’t part of the Manhattan social scene, but it definitely is the party time hot spot on the island! It was freezing when I shot this look…like the first day of winter cold…and this was two weeks ago…do you feel my pain yet? So over the cold and the season just started! While I am not a fan of winter weather, something I am a fan of is faux fur vests like this one from Karen Kane (similar available from Chicwish here). I love adding a faux fur vest to any look…what gal doesn’t want to feel edgy, feisty and fabulous right?I wore a simple white Old Navy sweater under the vest…black and white…you can never go wrong…oh yeah and I added some bling: Elephant Necklace & Initial Triangle Necklace (both of which make amazing gifts btw!) As for my arm party…I always gravitate towards my gold Michael Kors watch and this simple Marc Jacobs disc bangle. These pieces of bling go with any outfit and are perfect for fall layering! So in addition to my white sweater and my black faux fur vest another fall essential that I am all about is vegan leather leggings like these ones I’m wearing from Lysse! They are super comfortable, totally on trend and best of all? They can be dressed up or down something I am always about 😉 Once again…mirrored aviators and the new Perrier Street Art water bottles!I bought this Louis Vuitton Neverfull as a Christmas gift to myself last year (hey that’s what happens when you get bad holiday gifts…prevent that by shopping my holiday gift guides here, here & here. And these shoes are definitely a favorite of mine for fall. I have worn them a few times both with skirts and with pants: here, here & here….what can I say when I find a pair of comfortable and stylish shoes, I stick with them!P.S. I have an extra way to keep you warm and fuzzy…a NEW Giveaway started yesterday 😉 Check out details and Enter below <3| *Click To Shop My Look* |
Happy Tuesday lovers I am finally facing reality that I need to accept that the weather on Long Island and in the Big Apple is cold…so that means time for some serious fall outfits…like this flannel one from Old Navy! I am loving flannel for fall…real innovative I know, but another thing I am especially obsessed with this fall…Old Navy and no they aren’t sponsoring this post, I just have a slight addiction to their sales, deals and steals. They have tons of different flannel button downs all on sale for 30% off till tomorrow with code ‘SAVE‘ (on top of the already reduced prices!)…Can you say time to shop?!My black quilted vest was an Old Navy find as well except it is from last year and no longer available, so I found a similar one from Banana Republic that is just if not more amazing here. I also have a thing for a little faux leather for fall…these Lysse faux leather trim leggings are not just comfortable but also can be dressed up or down for a day to night look, plus these look mint with flannel don’t ya think? 😉 Had to of course include a little sparkle with this Kendra Scott Druszy ring…I swear this was one of the best blogger gifts I have ever received. I had to add a pop of color to this black and white look with this Olivia & Joy bag available in black and red! I switched up my watch game with this post by opting for a little silver rather than my ever favorite gold link watch…but I think I will have to start wearing this silver one a lot more.My shoes are actually from Payless, but I found a similar pair from Dolce Vita here. These open toe booties add a little extra something to any casual look and are totally on trend this season.| Click To Shop & Enter My Newest Giveaway HERE |
