Love is in the air…♥

Valentine’s Day is just a day away and that means finding that last minute outfit! Luckily I rounded up a few of my go-to little red dresses for the special night all available in store + online (with an in store pickup option). I for one am super excited for V-Day since this past weekend was my anniversary + I spent it sick as a dog in bed sooo I am looking forward to a romantic date night with my boo. After an amazing week at Universal + Disney, I ended the trip on a real high note with a lovely ear infection + horrible cold…yea talk about fun :p I guess life couldn’t be all fun + games huh? haha Anyways…to distract myself from this terrible cold, I am dreaming of the perfect date night look.

ICYMI – I rounded up some of my favorite looks for the day of love a little earlier in the month here. I think I am going to go for a little red dress like this one just to stay festive for the occasion hehe :p

It wouldn’t be Valentine’s Day in LA without taking photos in front of the ‘Love Wall‘ in Culver City…There was a legit line to take photos in front of this wall (and we shot this towards the end of January) haha but hey in such an insta-friendly town what do you expect 😉

I paired this red fit & flare with black ankle strap heeled sandals + my favorite Gucci mini bag which is perfect for date night. It has enough room for all of your essentials + is easy to wear for dinner + even dancing afterwards (if you are into that sort of thing)…my babe + I aren’t big dancers haha so we will just stick with the dinner 😉

Funny enough I will be celebrating Valentine’s Day not on V-Day. While I love the occasion, when you go out on V Day I find menus to be changed, restaurants to be crowded + overall less romantic. So my honey + I are opting for celebrating Valentine’s Day over the weekend instead so we can actually order what we like off the menu AND can avoid crowds! Now that sounds like the perfect plan to me 😉

Guess what is just WEEKS away?! VALENTINE’S DAY ♥

Whether you will be hanging with your friends or spending the evening having date night with your boo, one thing is for sure…you will be dressed up for it! Traditionally when I had Galentine’s Day, I rocked some cozy PJs + curled up watching Netflix, but this year Mike + I will be celebrating Valentine’s Day early during our trip to Florida (only a few days away ahhh) so what will I be wearing? A little white dress! Yup – you heard me, I am swapping out the traditional LBD for this little white number. Want to know the best part? I absolutely LOVE this dress! It’s sexy (yes a bit see through hehe :p) yet also sweet with it’s A-Line silhouette…making it the perfect date night go to. Best part? AMI Clubwear has the best date night dresses for under $20…yea no joke, that’s a STEAL!

I kept my date night accessories simple…BLACK. How chic is white + black? I just love it.

Before I got my Chanel, one of my favorite going out bags was this beauty called the ‘Affair’ Bag from Rebecca Minkoff (it comes in a ton of colors too!)

I also paired this look with my Rockstud Pumps (‘look a likes’ – because I can’t invest in the Valentino ones just yet, but if you would like to be my guest hehe they are available at Nordstrom!)

Love Is In The Air…

Well…almost that is hehe Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching + whether you will be celebrating with your boo, hanging with friends or simply giving yourself some much needed self love, a great way to get in a romantic state-of-mind is with a new look featuring the signature colors of Valentine’s Day…RED + PINK ♥

While I love all of the flowers + chocolate, I definitely don’t love the crowds at all the restaurants and bars on Valentine’s Day, so this year Mike + I are celebrating Valentine’s Day early while we are on vacation in Florida BUT I will for sure be treating myself to some of the pieces below to wear for the romantic evening. Even if you don’t have a date for Valentine’s Day, one of the funnest things to do is plan a girls night with your crew – anyone heading to happy hour followed by the new Fifty Shades? I kinda am excited to do that as well haha :p

Date Night Style: Velvet + Leather…

Happy Humpday ya’ll!

Guess what is just around the corner…Valentine’s Day!! Normally I am not a lover of the holiday…well except for yummy chocolate + the ability to wear head to toe pink or red 😉 But this year I am excited for the day of love because Mike + I will be in Disney celebrating my birthday, our anniversary and Valentine’s Day! With major milestones like that, it means plenty of date nights so I need to switch things up from the traditional LBD I typically go for (which I love…trust me) :p

The perfect way to switch your date night look up? With some velvet + leather (or faux leather in this case) of course!!

ICYMI – I have been SWOONING over velvet for the past few months. Whether it is a dress, a top or even a skirt or bottoms (even shoes)…velvet has been my go to this season so it makes sense I would extend this to my date night look for Valentine’s Day as well.

I decided to pair this velvet tank with my fav fuzzy jacket that is a great alternative to a blazer or moto jacket (and it gives ya the warm + fuzzies hehe) 🙂

I rounded up some of my favorite velvet tanks below along with two similar fuzzy jackets that you will live in for the rest of the season!

Now I have a confession for ya…I LIVE for these Hue Leatherette Leggings. For years these have been my go-to for date night, girl’s night + beyond during the cooler winter months because sometimes skirts + dresses aren’t doable when a gal is freezing (or may not want to shave let’s be honest haha :p)

These faux leather leggings fit every body type like a glove, suck it all in (because sometimes we need that haha) + accentuates your booty – definitely a favorite with my bf hehe!

Hue is a great brand and I love how their items fit well + are great quality (also relatively affordable compared to Spanx etc).

My bag is Gucci and is a great mini bag to wear out for date night + beyond. It fits your keys, lipgloss, credit card + more, plus with the chain strap you can wear it as a cross body or shoulder bag or even a clutch with tucking the chain in!

These silver gladiator heels are great for year round wear + are pretty comfortable for wherever the night takes you.
