It’s no secret that I have a slight obsession with color…and by color I mean anything that’ll stand out and truly make a statement, maybe even a little pop? 😉 One of my current colors I am crushing on is red…I am on the hunt for a new red bag (if you have any helpful tips or suggestions PLEASE let me know…I can’t seem to find a bag that makes me ‘fall in love’ haha) and here I am wearing a red sweater and red booties in the dead of winter (yes I was freezing while shooting this)!My red pullover sweater was a Target find (hey if I have to wear sweaters all winter long it may as well be a cute one!) and my red suede booties were and Old Navy find (similar here).

With the red comes a hint of black (I love red + black together) so I paired my red pieces with this black Topshop for Nordstrom floppy hat and black skater skirt from Kohls (Both pieces on sale now!)

And of course…the handbag. I am actually selling this ostrich clutch on my Poshmark (here) but found a similar one in a different color from Yes Style (here).

PS I am super excited because I decided to take a last minute trip to Disney for my Birthday (which is Feb.3rd btw)! I can’t wait to escape this cold winter weather and to have some fun with Mickey & Minnie 🙂

New Navy + A New Giveaway…

I think it’s about time for a new giveaway don’t you? Well I needed to bring a little excitement to the cold month of January and what better way to do that than by teaming up with Kameleonz…a fun new brand of sunnies that get this…are interchangeable to match your outfit! What fashionista doesn’t love to have her accessories match her look…including her sunglasses!

When Kameleonz reached out to me about collaborating and hosting a giveaway I had to say YES! I am all about accessories and have become increasingly obsessed with colored sunnies like this green pair named ‘Bali‘ (if only they would actually bring me to Bali…haha!). So read on to see how you can snag a pair (we can be #Twinning!…yes I am such a dork and use that word…oops :p)Before I dish the deets on how to snag a pair of these sunnies let’s break down this winter look (see I am slowly but surely wearing winter ensembles although I am constantly dreaming of warmer weather…I am in the midst of trying to plan a warm weather vacation…stay tuned…)I LOVE a faux fur vest as we all know so naturally I needed a gray one like this one that’s retailing for under $50 (I simply couldn’t survive without it duh!) Pair it with a chic white button down blouse and some simple leggings and you are ready for work or play.

Ok…I have become OBSESSED with over the knee boots…I was unsure at first but once I found these beauties at Nordstrom Rack I fell in love… (similar from Light In The Box here). I think slipping on a pair of over the knee boots instantly adds a sense of sexy and really pulls a look together.

I had to rock a little leopard print once again (this Kelsi Dagger bag has been a current crush of mine).

Now to dish on these awesome sunnies…What is cool about these Kameleonz sunnies is that the side pieces are interchangeable. So the sunglasses are sold in sets and can have the side pieces changed amongst 3 different colors to in a way ‘reinvent‘ their look to match your look!

Right Back To It…

The day is finally here…I’m back to my old stomping grounds (two different stomping grounds that is)…today is my first day of my new position as the social media coordinator for Kleinfelds and I am beyond EXCITED! I have been searching for the right fit for a while after leaving Madison Ave last spring and after quite the journey I am pleased to be starting the new year off right with a brand new adventure that I can’t wait to embark on!

Now in regards to back to my old stomping grounds…A) I am back to commuting into the Big Apple daily and heading to work following my passion…social media 😉 + B) These photos were taken at a very old stomping ground…my elementary school! Boy has time flied (insert monkey covering it’s face emoji here haha!)While this isn’t what I am wearing for my first day of work today (you can see my daily work ensembles on snap chat — add me ‘MissyOnMadison‘…beware I am VERY NEW to the world of snap chat and needed my 14 year old sister to help me…along with some help from google just so I could learn how to write text on ‘snaps’…hey I ~~can’t know~~ it all…that would just be obnoxious haha!)Ok, now that I got the whole snap chat situation out of the way let’s get to the reason why we are all here…the outfit details! New Year…New Post!

Well let me first start off by saying ‘Happy New Year‘! Crazy how we are starting a blank page in a new 365 page book (yes, I saw that quote all over instagram and had to incorporate it somehow into my first New Year post). It’s time for a New Year and a New outfit post…naturally I chose to show off an outfit shot in 2014 in slightly warmer weather (although I insist on wearing skirts year round…even when it is snowing out…I have no shame)! So here’s to an awesome outfit to kick off 2015…a maroon moment!I love rocking a floppy hat especially one that matches my suede booties. A maroon floppy hat is something I tend to get a lot of use out of because it’s the slight pop of color and much needed accessory any outfit requires to stand out. Plus this one is on sale from TopShop for Nordstrom here.My floral kimono cardigan came from a local Long Island boutique but I found a similar one from Urban Outfitters here (and for $50 it’s a total steal). As for my maroon skater skirt I found a similar one at Nordstrom as well for under $30 here.This watch has been one of my favorite goodies sent to me in the year 2014…this Caravelle NY watch is one of my go to’s in my daily line up and it is simple, chic and goes with everything…total must have.I haven’t rocked my Rebecca Minkoff Mini MAB Tote in a while because I always go straight to my ‘Affair Bag’ or my ‘Mini Mac Bag’ but now that I’ve worn it again I think you will be seeing a lot more of it in the new year! And last but not least…the shoes. I bought these maroon suede Calvin Klein booties over a year ago and I found them again at Lord & Taylor for just $32! Christmas Eve Glam…

Merry Christmas Eve ladies and gents! Every Christmas Eve my family has the tradition of my siblings and I going to my grandparents house, opening presents and having some quality family time (which due to our busy schedules tends to fall to the wayside). The holiday season is the perfect time to catch up with family, friends and of course…rock some glam pieces from your closet…duh! That’s my favorite part of the holiday season…dressing up 😉 All black everything…jk just my Dora Landa NY Lace & Faux Leather Top and my Catherine Malandrino for Kohls Drop Waist Skirt (which also has hints of lace…can you spot them?). Both pieces are timeless classics and will forever be mixed and matched from season to season.While I went simple with my black on black top and skirt, my accessories definitely added some much need ‘sass‘ to this look. I tend to wear a lot of black around the holiday season because you can always dress it up with the right shoes and handbag and even…jewelry, which is exactly what I did here!My jewelry is from Capwell + Co…scored at a sample sale (both pieces are in my Poshmark closet here + here) because I always try to snag a great deal (luckily with Capwell + Co all of their pieces are affordable!). I found a similar amethyst cuff and amethyst ring (both on sale now) here + here.I instantly fell head over ‘heels’ for A) this gorgeous purple bow bag that is (drumroll please) from Target! + B) these stunning leopard ‘Valentino Rockstud’ inspired pumps (available in my Poshmark closet here).Skirts or dresses are always my go to when it comes to getting ‘glam’ for any occasion and yes that even includes family affairs for Christmas 😉 What girl doesn’t love to play dress up when given an excuse?On a side note…I am SUPER excited to share that Christmas came a little early for me…I got a pretty awesome present and in true ‘Christmas’ fashion, I won’t reveal it till tomorrow when I share some present sharing glam on the blog 😉 So check back tomorrow to unwrap my exciting gift that guess what…will keep on giving!| Click To Shop My Look |
