I hope ya’ll had a great weekend! My boo + I had a busy weekend shooting new looks + fun content for the blog, along with a little date night trip to the movies to see The Equalizer – which was AMAZING btw! Pretty convinced Denzel can do no wrong :p hehe
One of the things I love about summer is wearing light colors + layers. This Simply Be white eyelet dress combines my love for both. For some reason when I see a white eyelet dress, I instantly think Sunday brunch or a trip to the horse races or a trip to a polo match, very ‘sophisticated chic’. With that vision in mind, I had to pair this dress with simple black accessories. If you ask me, black + white is always a good idea…
I love this eyelet dress because it is chic enough for the office or a special occasion, but it also keeps you cool in the warm summer temps (especially in LA it has been like 100 degrees)!
It is one of my favorite dresses I have scored on Simply Be because it looks so expensive but retails for under $60! It also fits true to size which is always a plus.
You can never go wrong with a little black heel! These Steve Madden black ankle strap heels are one of my current go-to’s because they match with everything + with the chunky heel, are comfortable as well!
You can also never go wrong with a classic Chanel. When in doubt, add Chanel hehe 😉
On Tuesday’s I wear pink or maybe it’s just anytime I am at Peggy Porschen in London hehe ♥
I am sure you saw this little pink slice of heaven all over my Instagram story when I was in London last month (if you missed it, don’t worry – this post is pink filled to the max + will make you want to hop on a plane to London right now!) Before I headed off to London I made a thourough list of all the places I wanted to visit AND a list of all the places I wanted to shoot new outfit photos at…a place that made it to the top of both lists? Yep, you guessed it, Peggy Porschen, the home of the cutest insta photo spot + delicious treats (which naturally I had to try in between shots) + a great place to people watch as passerby’s looked at me like a looney for taking endless photos of my white tweed jacket with faux fur trim while my photographer was stopping traffic to get the ‘insta worthy shot‘ lol The things we do for the blog + social media #TheStruggleIsReal :p
I am BEYOND obsessed with this girly look: 1) because it involves my brand new Chanel I purchased in Paris the day before AND 2) it includes pink, tweed + faux fur…what else does a fashion obsessed gal need in life? Am I right? 😉
The jacket makes such a statement and matched perfectly with the feminine design of the cafe along with my pink skater skirt. I broke up the light colors with hints of black from my bodysuit, shoes + bag.
I loved wearing this bodysuit with skirts around London since it doesn’t ride up, sucks everything in haha and it is really comfy no matter what you style it with. I was always terrified of bodysuits (the thought of having to take it off to go to the bathroom scared me haha) but I got over it + I am SO glad I did.
In between snapping photos, my photographer and I had to try some yummy treats that Peggy Porschen is well known for. One of their signature cupcakes is this beauty below (sorry guys but I can’t remember the name of it for the life of me but I assure ya it was delicious).
Fun Fact: I am not a coffee drinker, so anytime I have coffee in a photo, it was purchased for that sole purpose…the photo 😉 haha That was the case with this cup that had to be snapped because who doesn’t love lips in their coffee?!
My shoes + bag are timeless classics. Black never goes out of style…neither does Chanel or a chic pair of heels…this outfit happens to have both!
These black ankle strap heels are currently on sale at Nordstrom + are a MUST HAVE for every wardrobe. Mix + match them with any look you are going for no matter how dressy or casual…they literally go with everything.
Ready to sip on a ‘lip’ covered latte at this pink cafe? Me too! London here I come…well in another month (December can’t come soon enough) ♥
