With the winter temps making my skin dry + my bones chilly, I have been reaching for my favorite skincare products more + more each day. Somedays I have extremely dry skin + need a little hydration + other days my skin is an oil mine and I need something to zap those zits away. Since my skin is always changing things up on me, that means I need to switch up the products I use every so often. Recently I have been adding a mix of products, tools + treatments to my everyday skincare routine + wanted to share my favorites with ya’ll below! All are affordable (nothing over $150) + they all last a long time while truly leaving your skin looking + feeling great!
I am always on the hunt for the perfect lipgloss (I am such a lippieaddict – lipstick has always intimidated me, plus I have thin lips + am not a huge fan of the whole lining my lips then coloring them in with lipstick process :p) BUT one lip product I can always get behind is a great lipgloss! One brand I have been a fan of for years when it comes to amazing lip products is Buxom Cosmetics. From their unique kits that have everything you need to ‘pucker up’ to individual glosses that my purse is currently filled with…they have great shades, at a fair prize, that are amazing quality – win/win!
So I know this isn’t the main focus of a beauty review but I have to say I absolutely LOVE their packaging! Their glosses are sleek, chic + a great size to fit in any of my going out bags. My personal favorites are their lip polishes that come in over 90 colors (without a doubt you can find a color that matches your mood or look)!
They go on smooth + last me all day (and night) so I don’t have to worry about doing multiple touch ups throughout the day. They come in shimmer + metallic finishes and while they look great, they also keep your lips hydrated (my biggest struggle is dry lips because of my skincare regimen to combat acne – my skin gets dry quite often + that sometimes extends to my lips).
My second favorite gloss? The Buxom Full On Lip Cream! It applies smooth, the color is rich + long lasting AND it comes in 20 different shades. My favorite part? It feels like butter on your lips! Who doesn’t love that?!
This gloss has no shimmer BUT it helps plump your lips (no fillers required haha :p)
Happy Monday! I know I haven been a bit sparse on the posting lately…work + life have just been keeping me a tad busy but my goal for the coming weeks is to get back on my posting game! Life gets tough when schedules keep you away from home, your computer and drain you. Lately I have been getting home so late + all I want to do is cuddle up in my ever so cozy bed…seriously every time I hop into bed a huge smile comes across my face haha :p Do you love your bed as much as I love mine? 😉
Anyways…I digress. This past weekend was a beauty filled weekend for me. My Youtuber gal pal Solange Nicole threw a mini ‘Beauty Night Out’ house party Friday night where a bunch of beauty brands + gurus were in attendance. Being around tons of new beauty products + seeing such gorgeous gals inspired me to play around with some new beauty buys over the weekend…a bunch of those being quality buys from Burberry available at Sephora!
I am someone that keeps my makeup relatively simple + natural, I also tend to have breakouts if I choose cheaper makeup products…Burberry however has great quality picks to give you the looks you want that’ll last ya all day long!
My current favorites are their NEWLiquid Velvet Lip (it feels like butter + goes on super smooth…plus the hues are really pigmented for all day wear). I always like to pair my lipgloss or lipstick shades with a sharp lipliner that in a way helps ‘contour’ your lips to perfection :p
Happy Humpday ♥ I am so excited to share my favorite beauty picks from the Sephora Collection that has everything from lipsticks, to makeup brushes, to foundations and bronzers + more! I have to be completely frank here…I was never a true Sephora fan (I know, I know…what rock have I been sleeping under right?! :p) well I A) Never knew Sephora had affordable makeup that is their own collection + B) I had no clue that the quality and pigmentation was so amazing! Well I finally got to put their collection to the test and I LOVE it!
I swatched some of my favorite lip products from Sephora Collection below! They are so creamy and go on smooth and last long (no joke…it took me multiple washes to remove the swatches from my arm haha :p).
The colors are really pigmented and with multiple shades, you can stock up now during the summer and have the shades last you well into fall (and even winter)! What I like about their line most is that all of the prices are actually really affordable! I always thought Sephora was super high end and pricey but I suppose I was wrong! Such a great surprise 😉
I am constantly testing out new skincare + beauty picks, so when Colorscience approached me with their dermatologist designed + tested line of products I figured ‘why not‘ let’s give it a shot :p My skin is really really sensitive. Over the past few months I have been breaking out like crazy + also being out in the sun has got me convinced I need to switch up my beauty routine!
I first tried out Colorscience a couple of months ago when I attended their event with some of the creators + makeup artists. The price point is equal to that of some prestige cosmetics brands BUT one product lasts you forever (not even kidding…a little goes a long way)!
All of Colorscience’s products have a good amount of SPF in them making them perfect to wear alone or over makeup to protect your skin. One of my current favorites from them is their Sunforgettable Loose Mineral Sunscreen Brush! This baby comes with me everywhere and I treat it like any normal powder that I use throughout the day when my skin gets oily or sometimes I wear it as a tinted bronzer in a way when I don’t feel like wearing foundation etc but need that extra glow!
I also love their Tint Du Soleil — I treat it like a tinted BB Cream and the formula is light but provides a good amount of coverage and is great to wear when you don’t want to wear your full face of makeup 🙂
