And the moment we have all been waiting for…it’s Friday! I am excited to relax this weekend and try to get better from being sick the past two days (ugh I am the worst sick patient ever). I have been so out of it the past two days and can’t wait to really just take a moment to catch up on e-mails and also hopefully see some of my friends this weekend…after commuting in during the week for work usually on the weekends I just crash and try to avoid going out but with an outfit this cute…I think I may have to have a girl’s night…what do ya think? 😉

We are at the halfway mark…it is Wednesday and the weekend can’t come soon enough. I’m not sure if it’s the weather or if I have just been completely overwhelmed lately, but I have been so exhausted to the point where I find myself half asleep when attempting to blog (sorry if I begin rambling and not making any sense :p) When organizing my iPhoto library (one of the many things on my to-do list) I came across this look shot pre-winter snow and forgot how much I LOVE a black floppy hat.
In the spirit of Coachella this weekend, I definitely plan on incorporating this hat into future spring looks…because this is my mild version of a flower crown haha :p Speaking of Coachella, I really wish I was going to be there this weekend, but no…I get to stay here in rainy NYC #SoNotFair
Crazy to think we are in full swing of spring yet there is still some snow on the ground near me…clearly mother nature didn’t get the memo that right now it’s supposed to be in the 50s and 60s giving me the ability to wear skirts, dresses and open toe shoes…seriously…what’s going on?! ugh!
This look is oddly enough pretty weather appropriate considering it is still a little too cool to show some skin and i am bundled up with bright neon accessories…you know because nothing rings in spring like a fluorescent yellow bag and scarf right? 😉
“In New York you are always looking for a job, a boyfriend or an apartment” said the ever so fabulous Carrie Bradshaw. Now while I would like to think I have a little ‘Carrie’ in me, that quote from SATC is a little different for me…replace ‘job‘ with a new pair of shoes + replace ‘apartment‘ with a great place to shoot an outfit post 😉 (we can keep the search for a boyfriend for now haha). So when I got this black tulle skirt from Bliss Tulle in the mail, I knew it was meant to be shot at one of Carrie’s favorite spots…the New York Public Library! Any opportunity I get to channel SJP I do it!
Today’s post isn’t just about my love for Carrie Bradshaw, I am sharing a great NEW giveaway with you all to get you the perfect ‘Pop Of Color’ for spring 😉 You can Enter To Win the red satchel I am wearing! Perfect way to prep for spring weather huh? <3
Friday can never come soon enough…after an exhausting work week I am fully ready to enjoy the weekend! This week has been insane for me because my car was in the shop since Monday getting repaired for it to go back from it’s lease tomorrow (RIP ‘Yup JR’). For those of you who haven’t seen my license plate, it reads Yup Jr…almost everyone asks me what it stands for so here is the scoop…
My dad is a big car guy and loves vanity license plates (who doesn’t like to make a statement…even when it comes to their car right? :p) so one of his vehicles has the license plate ‘Yup‘ so naturally I became ‘Yup Jr‘…why did he name his truck Yup? Well for any of you who are familiar with Dodge and their vehicles here it goes :: There was a commercial back in 2006 where a Challenger + a Charger pull up to a red light and the guy in the Charger asks the guy in the Challenger “Does that thing have a Hemi (engine)?” and the guy in the Challenger simply responds “YUP”….and bam…Yup was born…along with Yup JR. Well this weekend Yup Jr is going into retirement and being replaced with a brand new baby…You will just have to follow me on SnapChat :: MissyOnMadison to see what I get next 😉
