Happy Monday ♥ I hope you all had a nice weekend! My highlight was clearly tracking down some of the best street art in LA (thanks to Studio DIY’s ‘Wall Crawl’ post) to take outfit photos in front of it (I mean come on, who doesn’t think that’s fun :p) haha! Well in addition to tracking down street art + taking photos, I began attempting to learn how to edit photos in Lightroom (bare with me on that haha). I know everyone uses it and I have tried it out here + there, but my new goal is to fully master it — are any of you guys Lightroom fans?! I would love to hear your feedback + any tips / tricks that I should try out 🙂

In addition to tracking down street art, I began fully embracing fall by styling this new look featuring one of my favorite autumn hues…maroon! It’s crazy to me that it’s already October…in LA it feels like endless summer, so honestly I am not really wearing boots yet but I figured I need to begin putting fall looks together so why not start now 😉

One of my main ways for coming up with outfits is starting with one piece I want to style and then pick the pieces that go with it perfectly. I couldn’t wait to style this SheIn Maroon Dress with some navy pieces! What is great about this dress is that it can be worn for spring / summer without a jacket + then for fall / winter layer a lightweight denim jacket (like this one from Old Navy) or even a cozy cardigan or blazer depending the occasion.

I really liked the combo of navy + maroon so I pulled my navy blue suede otk boots (similar style) out of the back of my ‘fall / winter’ closet (yes I have two closets for the different seasons haha no joke :p) + styled those with this look as well! I love how they are great with jeans, dresses + slack for work etc. The chunky heel makes them comfortable + the navy hue matches with just about everything…kinda believing ‘navy is the new black :p’!

My navy blue satchel is from Lacoste + this has been a trustee go-to of mine since last year! It can be worn as a cross body, shoulder bag or just by the top handles like I did here + the material makes it easy to clean + a great bag for work or play!

To add some more maroon to my look, I got one of my favorite fall accessories ‘the floppy hat‘ in maroon (I have pretty much bought this hat in every color for endless fall outfit options).

Anyone who knows me, knows I LOVE a good pair of sunnies so I was super excited when ILYMIX sent me these new sunglasses for fall! I have been on the hunt for metallic silver sunnies + this pair is under $20 but look like they are super expensive…that’s just how I like it 😉 Great quality + style but for less!
