Thanksgiving Eve…

Happy Thanksgiving Eve Lovers! Ok, so yes this outfit wasn’t shot recently…I’m guessing it probably got shot about 2-3 months ago (yes…I have outfits stocked up in my iPhoto library from back then!) But when I discovered it I thought it would be the perfect bar hoping or club look for one of the most popular party nights of the year…Thanksgiving Eve! Ok so I’m not sure if the whole idea of going out for ‘Thanksgiving Eve’ is a Long Island thing or an every place thing but either way I truly believe you can’t go wrong with a simple skater skirt…pumps and a moto jacket. Easy, chic and sexy…just what bar or club hopping calls for! My moto jacket is from Karen Kane and while it’s no longer available, I found a similar one from ShopBop on sale here.My skater skirt and leopard pumps are both Target Style finds…which is always a win/win in my book…what gal doesn’t like affordable fashion 😉 Plus a simple black skater skirt and leopard heels are both key pieces for any fashionistas wardrobe.My bag was last year’s Christmas gift to myself…sorry but some of the best gifts are the gifts you give yourself right? 😉 I LOVE the Louis Vuitton Neverfull because it’s an all around go to bag…roomy, great quality and always timeless. Now for the bling factor. Both of my necklaces make perfect holiday gifts! The gold horizontal bar necklace has been a hot trend for the past year and it is a great piece for ladies of any age because it can be worn alone or layered on with other pieces to make a statement. I layered it here with my favorite star necklace because what gal doesn’t like to shine like a star? 😉 P.S. with Thanksgiving tomorrow not only does it mean a big meal but also the beginning of huge holiday sales! Rebel With A Pop…

Happy Monday Lovers! I hope you all had a fabulous weekend filled with fun, relaxation and maybe like mine…a little shopping (oops…that whole saving thing…kind of a challenge for me…who is with me?). So after rebelling against my mom aka my financial advisor’s wishes of me working on saving money (did I mention I made some stops at Target, Nordstrom & Old Navy?) I figured let the rebellious behavior continue with this ‘Rebel tee‘ from Old Navy! I actually came across this outfit shoot in my iPhoto library from August! My brother and I often shoot a bunch of looks at once since we both have such busy schedules during the week to try and shoot each look daily. So although this was shot in August, this can be the perfect fall ensemble for a night out or a dressed up weekend day look. My rebel tee is from Old Navy here. I paired with with a chic white boyfriend blazer like this one here. Fall is the season of leather, vegan leather and faux leather…so I had to rock my favorite Hue leatherette leggings available here. Now to break down my favorite part of any outfit…the bag and shoes!My bag is by BCBG and it is the ‘Pop’ in the title of this post…always need a great ‘Pop Of Color’ to brighten up any look no matter what the occasion or the season. While this style is no longer available, I found a similar clutch from BCBG at Lord & Taylor on SALE now here.My heels are from the Prabal Gurung for Target collection…a bit of a throwback so since they are no longer able to be purchased, I found a practically identical pair from Nine West here. What I love about this look is that it’s a simple tee that just got dressed up by adding a simple blazer and leather leggings…my two must haves for this fall season.| Click To Shop |

Maxed Out…

Happy Thursday Lovers! This was another outfit shot at my favorite Long Island back drop…the Vanderbilt Museum / Mansion. I’ve visited the grounds a few times now and every time I go it’s always picture perfect. I’m ready to instagram, pose and do typical ‘blogger’ things as some of my friends and family like to say I do whenever I visit the Vanderbilt Mansion. Well, this little look was no exception. I actually saw a few other bloggers style a maxi dress (which is traditionally a summer piece) for fall and I was inspired to do the same…hey any blogger who claims they are 100% original and don’t get ideas from stylists, bloggers or celebrities is totally lying…the world of fashion is a vast wonderland just waiting to be explored…similar to Long Island, which I’m uncovering one outfit at a time 😉I honestly can’t remember where I snagged this black ‘high-low’ maxi dress, but I found similar options here + here. The perfect way to make this common summer item and make it fall fabulous? With a cable knit sweater of course! I’m in LOVE like lust into love with this LC By Lauren Conrad Cable Knit Sweater from Kohls which is on sale NOW here.Now no look is complete without the perfect bag and shoes so here it goes…Yes, I have worn these taupe booties that I found at Marshalls a few times on the blog (here + here + here)…yeah they have become my fall staple shoe. My bag (which you can shop in my Poshmark closet here) is from Lord & Taylor (no longer available). I love a pop of color as you all know so here are two great blue quilted chain bags here + here. Leopard Lady…

Happy Tuesday Lovers! So I am freaking out because today I am going to meet one of my biggest inspirations and the only man who can make me laugh and smile on a daily basis…Andy Cohen! He is signing and promoting his newest book ‘The Andy Cohen Diaries’ at a local book store near me…I have butterflies and can’t wait to be a total fan girl and snap a picture with him for insta…hey if it isn’t on insta it didn’t really happen right? haha I digress…I had no idea he was heading to the Island until I was talking to my brother and I said the word ‘Mazel’ which my mom who was listening to our conversation right away responded with…speaking of mazel, Andy Cohen will be here tomorrow…love how my whole family is familiar with the WWHL logo 🙂While I still haven’t chosen what I am going to wear tonight to meet the fabulous Andy himself, I have put together a little leopard look for ya’ll today. Everytime I wear leopard I feel fierce…my animal instincts come out but don’t worry I always act like a lady…well sometimes…oops.I scored this faux fur leopard vest on clearance from Karen Kane at Lord & Taylor…while it was purchased last year, I found a similar one for under $30 at Forever 21 here. Whenever I wear animal print I like to keep the rest of the look neutral like I did here with my black dolman sleeve top (here) and my black pleated skirt (here).My black strappy sandals are the ‘Lavania’ sandal from Coach (available here) or you can shop them on my Poshmark closet here. Although sandals are traditionally for summer, I like to transition them into the fall as well (as long as the weather permits).So ok maybe I lied about wearing more than one animal print…I paired this leopard look with this Michael Kors python clutch…it’s subtle, chic and reminds me of a Stella McCartney bag (always looking for an affordable version of luxury items). My perfect fall bling? A signature black leather bracelet, like this one from Vince Camuto and a great ‘nailed it’ bracelet available for under $5 here! (Yes…under $5 people and it’s even blinged out!)I’m contemplating a side pony with a touch of leopard tonight for Andy…what do you guys think (anyone who loves Andy Cohen and WWHL as well as me knows how much Andy loves a gal with a side ponytail!)| Click To Shop My Look |
