D E N I M days are here! Along with some spring weather FINALLY ♥ ICYMI it has been pretty rainy + chilly in LA, I know I may have become a bit of a baby moving here from NY, but my blood has totally thinned out + I can’t stand the cold temps…I like to live in lightweight outfits, plenty of dresses + heeled sandals or pumps 😉 Guess those are my signature ‘go-to’s’. Sooo it comes as no surprise that today’s look is one I will be rocking all spring long that incorporates some of the hottest trends of the season!
Ever since I was a teenager I have been a huge fan of skinny jeans + jeggings. I think they always look sharp and well put together and they fit me like a glove. However, like with every trend certain brands or stores do it better and for an affordable price…my current go-to for skinny jeans + jeggings this spring? Rue21 and their new line called Wild Blue Denim designed by Duck Dynasty star Sadie Robertson. My dad is actually a huge Duck Dynasty fan and I used to watch with him back when I was living at home…seriously feels like forever now haha. Anyways, I love Sadie’s line and especially how they are diverse enough to be styled multiple ways…dress ’em up or dress ’em down, either way you’ll dress to impress.
The ‘Ripped & Sandblasted’ Jeggings are super comfortable, have plenty of stretch but also hug curves in all the right places! They have just the right amount of rips without over-doing it + like I love about most skinnies, they look chic with a pair of heels for a night out or with a pair of kicks for running around town…since I am obsessed with white pumps this spring season, it only made sense I paired these skinnies with these beauties!
Another trend I am all about this spring are peasant tops! I love the boho chic style + flowy feel making them the perfect style of top to pair with tight skinny jeans so you have a contrast with different shapes for a complete look.
2 years ago I snagged this Gucci Soho Tote from the Gucci boutique on Rodeo Drive. It was my first purchase on Rodeo Drive…now 2 years later they are a client I manage digital + influencer strategy for…how crazy is that?! Naturally it’s a perfect fit for me haha
Happy Monday ♥ I am definitely having a case of the Monday Blues today…I spent this past weekend in Palm Springs to kick off my birthday week (I can’t believe I am turning 25 on Friday…a quarter of a century old…it’s all down hill from here right? :p) JK…have to look at the bright side, with older age comes wisdom, better style + class and elegance that takes years to achieve.
Anyways…while I am still 24, I love to sport casual cozy looks like this one with my winter signature essentials…a blanket scarf + OTK boots! I love when comfort + style intersect and with these boots and this scarf, that’s exactly what happens!
Don’t you just love when sunshine is beaming down on you and you are warm and toasty in your outfit? I sure do!
Happy Monday + Happy Martin Luther King Day! I have been a little swamped catching up with work, shooting new content + then took a little trip to Palm Springs with my bestie who I haven’t seen in foreverrr…when I say forever I actually mean forever – 5 months, no biggie, guess that’s what happens when you are adults who have demanding careers with a lot of travel haha :p Anyways, before I left for my most recent trip, I was visiting my family in NY for the holidays where I of course headed into my old stomping grounds…NYC!! Oh how I missed the Big Apple…until I went over to the west side to shoot some cityscape pictures + nearly froze to death…I became a bit of a wuss when it comes to the cold – does this mean I am officially a ‘valley girl‘? haha 😉
While I was in the city I of course had to shoot some new looks — gotta get those NYC scenes in, no yellow taxi cabs in LA…Just plenty of traffic filled with Ubers :p
I got this floral bomber jacket from She In right before I left and I have pretty much made it a staple in my wardrobe ever since. Whether you dress it up for a night out with skinny jeans + pumps or keep it casual with leggings + some sweet kicks, this jacket is going to become your newest obsession…trust me.
Fun Fact: I had to practically walk in traffic to get these shots in the middle of the day in Soho…Lydia (my fav NY based photographer) is quite the trooper…let me tell ya haha 😉
Luckily I was comfortable when shooting because I am sporting Slink Jeans. They are purposely designed for gals that are curvy and want a pair of jeans that will hug every curve in a chic way. The pair I am wearing is a legging like material and they are comfy enough to spend the entire day in without feeling like your jeans are digging in to you. Slink Jeans are just easy…they fit perfectly and let me feel confident no matter what I style them with ♥
I still have a soft spot for white pointed toe pumps (while I wear these babies for pictures and they are slightly big on me, I find nothing more chic than white pumps year round)! I am contemplating investing in a pair of white Manolo’s…very Carrie Bradshaw esq…stay tuned 😉

Finding the right jeans has always been a challenge for me. They are always either too short, too long, too tight, too loose or just all around not my style. Jeans shopping is one of the shopping experiences I have always tried to avoid. Me…avoiding shopping? Yes it is an actual thing that happens haha But I am pretty sure I found my perfect fit and it is Mossimo jeans from Target!
Target sent me a few pairs of jeans to try out for a couple of weeks and see if they are something that I actuallywant to wear every day and YES I grabbed these 3 pairs to wear pretty much all of the time. The Mossimo skinny jeans and jeggings hug my curves, show off my calves and are comfortable enough to run around in all day without feeling suffocated or agitated (a problem I tend to have with certain brands of jeans but not Target!).
My favorite pair (while I in fact love them all) was this light wash slightly distressed skinny jegging. I wore them while hanging around at Kristi’s on a Sunday and then also wore them out and about for brunch, work and even girl’s night! They can be styled in a variety of ways and I like cuffing up the bottom to change up their look.
My close second was this pair of Mossimo mid-rise medium wash skinny jeans. I think these are perfect for a night out…especially with an open back top like I wore below…got to show off that booty right 😉 These do in fact add a little ‘lift’ and are awesome ‘booty’ jeans in my opinion :p
Starting July 26th, you can try on Target denim in the store to receive $10 off. Be sure to check out the rest of their denim here: www.target.com/jeans
So for real, I am not feeling the snow…like at all. I hate having to bundle up like an eskimo and I can’t stand my face freezing the second I walk out the door…but I guess Mother Nature feels us New Yorkers are strong enough to tough out these freezing weather conditions…I mean why else would we have to put up with these shenanigans 😉
Anyways one thing I am semi-ok with this season is the ability to wear faux fur vests every day along with OTK boots (these Target ones have become my obsession…for under $40 they should be yours too…just saying!)I may have mentioned in previous posts, but I was never one for animal prints. I feel they have to be done the right way to look nice without being tacky I suppose…and I think this faux fur leopard vest does just the trick. A little animal print layered over some simple key pieces is an easy go to…especially for a Friday when I’m rushing from the office then out to dinner, drinks (aka me not drinking) or events. My simple pieces: this black Lush button down + some comfy jeggings. I know a lot of people are against the jegging but listen…they are super comfortable and have the look and feel of jeans without me feeling suffocated all day long so they are a ‘win‘ in my book 😉
While I may look warm and snuggly in this look I can assure you I am not…I was freezing while shooting this so yea…wear a coat…especially this weekend (bracing myself for more snow ugh!) :p| Click To Shop + Share My Look |
