Crushin’ It…in velvet that is ♥

With Thanksgiving this week + the holidays quickly approaching, it’s time to get your holiday party looks ready to go! My current obsession this holiday season? VELVET! All kinds – from handbags, to shoes to dresses to pants, tops, bodysuits + more, I am loving velvet + everything that comes in it!! I rounded up my favorite velvet pieces from some of my go-to retailers (which will be running amazing deals for Black Friday + Cyber Monday, so now is the time to snag these beauties). Ready to get your velvet on? 😉

Dresses

Searching for the perfect dress to wear to your office holiday party, family get together or NYE night out? Well, a velvet dress is the way to go! Honestly, I already stocked up on a few velvet dresses to wear this holiday season (including one velvet dress I fully intend on wearing to ring in 2018)!

I picked out a bunch of velvet dresses that range from long maxi styles to mini dresses + everything in between, this way there is an option for every event you will be heading to this season. A shorter style to wear out for happy hour (after spending a few too many days at home with the fam), a long sleeve mid-length dress appropriate enough to wear to office gatherings + some longer styles that work perfectly for a winter wedding.

Tops + Bottoms

If you aren’t a ‘dress person’ or you simply love velvet as much as I do + want to style it a few different ways, separates are a great option.

From a chic pair of velvet pants to a fun velvet body suit, mixing + matching velvet pieces with regular pieces can help you create a few different holiday looks without looking like a repeat offender! My personal favorites are these velvet pants + this velvet body suit.

Bags

My favorite part of any outfit? The shoes + bag…duh! Velvet bags are all over the place this season, from Gucci to Rebecca Minkoff, there are all types of velvet bags to rock this season at all price points! Which one am I lusting after? The Gucci Marmont bag of course hehe :p

Shoes

Ohhh the shoes…I love these velvet beauties so much. From over the knee boots to booties to heels + more, I fully plan on rocking velvet shoes well past the holiday season #sorrynotsorry. I mean, how could you not? They are so chic + stylish…pretty sure I am in serious love with these gold velvet booties from the Chrissy Teigan x Revolve collab.

Holiday Dressing…Black + White

Happy Wednesday Lovers! Time to share a look for one of my favorite times of year to dress for…the holidays! Ok, so I may not love the ~~cold~~ NY weather and I ~~may~~ or may not end up buying more gifts for myself than others (~~oops~~ but hey with the amazing deals happening this time of year I can’t resist) but one part of the holiday season I do like? Dressing up…duh!You can never go wrong with a simple black and white ensemble…timeless, elegant and perfect for any holiday party (even the work holiday party that you always rush around trying to find an outfit for…don’t worry I know how it goes 😉 )Let’s first start with a simple white wrap blouse like this one from Dora Landa NY. I love this blouse because it is flattering on every figure and in addition to a crisp white look (which can even be worn to the office!) it has black lace detailing that adds a little glam for a sweet holiday look.Skirt wise I opted for a black bandage skirt…once again it is a piece that can be worn well past the holiday season and it can be dressed for work or play. While I honestly can’t remember where or when I got this skirt, I found a similar skirt here (for under $50). Ok as for my accessories let’s get down to it. I am obsessed with this Michael Kors bag (similar here)..the python pattern is so unique and it’s the perfect clutch that doubles with a shoulder strap to wear for any holiday bash.And behold…my solution to the Valentino Rockstud Pumps…these gorgeous black suede studded pumps from Necessary Clothing and guess what? They cost under $30!!! Yes ladies…affordable and comfortable…win/win 😉As for what to wear jewelry wise? Thanksgiving Glam…

Happy Thanksgiving Loves! Time for some turkey, family time and of course shopping! I can’t believe how Black Friday now became something that starts on Thanksgiving so get ready, get set and start shopping…beginning with my super glammed up look here 😉 Hey why not look spectacular while eating five thousand calories in one sitting right?! My shaggy coat is the perfect holiday gift because A) it’s warm and B) it’s stunning duh! I love it <3 Super snuggly and it’s just the proper dose of glam any look requires. Under my shaggy coat is a simple white Old Navy sweater…a piece that every fashionista needs. As if my shaggy coat wasn’t snazzing up the look enough…I had to add a dash of Carrie Bradshaw with a tulle skirt…this time it’s in black so it can actually be worn for any occasion without seeming ‘Sex and the City’ esq like it looked in pink in my ‘J’adore Friday‘ post here.Can’t go wrong with a little bling 😉 You can shop some of my pieces from my Gift Guide here!I’m wearing my ever favorite Rebecca Minkoff ‘Affair’ Bag…and ladies this makes the PERFECT holiday gift for the fashion lover in your life.
