Happy Thursday Lovers! This was another outfit shot at my favorite Long Island back drop…the Vanderbilt Museum / Mansion. I’ve visited the grounds a few times now and every time I go it’s always picture perfect. I’m ready to instagram, pose and do typical ‘blogger’ things as some of my friends and family like to say I do whenever I visit the Vanderbilt Mansion. Well, this little look was no exception. I actually saw a few other bloggers style a maxi dress (which is traditionally a summer piece) for fall and I was inspired to do the same…hey any blogger who claims they are 100% original and don’t get ideas from stylists, bloggers or celebrities is totally lying…the world of fashion is a vast wonderland just waiting to be explored…similar to Long Island, which I’m uncovering one outfit at a time 😉I honestly can’t remember where I snagged this black ‘high-low’ maxi dress, but I found similar options here + here. The perfect way to make this common summer item and make it fall fabulous? With a cable knit sweater of course! I’m in LOVE like lust into love with this LC By Lauren Conrad Cable Knit Sweater from Kohls which is on sale NOW here.Now no look is complete without the perfect bag and shoes so here it goes…Yes, I have worn these taupe booties that I found at Marshalls a few times on the blog (here + here + here)…yeah they have become my fall staple shoe. My bag (which you can shop in my Poshmark closet here) is from Lord & Taylor (no longer available). I love a pop of color as you all know so here are two great blue quilted chain bags here + here. Mad For Plaid…

Happy Monday Loves! So I’m thinking it’s time to reveal a little bit more of me in my blog posts other than simply breaking down my looks…let’s get real…watchya think? Well for starters, this outfit was shot yesterday at my old stomping grounds…my elementary school! I felt so old being there but easily forgot about that the second I saw an adorable King Charles Cavalier (the same breed as my little Charlie) walk by in between photos…Not sure if this is just me but the second I see a cute little dog my voice instantly turns into a high pitch squeal as if I was talking to an infant…it’s a bit embarrassing but hey it’s a little quirk I have!Other than my obsession with adorable dogs, I have obsessing over plaid this fall, especially from Old Navy. I rocked a black and white plaid flannel last week on the blog and opted to add a little color with this red and blue plaid flannel here. I always want to add color no matter what the season…it’s another little quirk of mine.Speaking of color…I ended up buying this blue faux leather tote from Old Navy that I had on last week’s Weekend Wish List here. It’s perfect for work or play and I love the cobalt blue hue for fall to add a little extra ‘pop’. My booties are from Report Shoes and were a Marshalls ‘Fab Found’ purchase but I found them here at 6pm.com.An outfit is never complete without subtle hints of bling (or in my case not so subtle…oops). The Michael Kors gold link watch I’m wearing makes a great gift idea for a friend, sister or loved one and it’s on sale here at Nordstrom. Other great gift ideas? Gingham & GiGi…

Happy Monday Lovers! I had quite a busy weekend filled with outfit shoots, Long Island adventures and some fun new blog concepts…but I think I should run some of them by you guys to see what you think…but first let’s break down this little look I’m rocking today. Gingham is a great print for fall…especially when it’s affordable like this button down top from Target. My top and pale pink skirt are both Target Style finds…now that’s guilt free shopping! What I love about gingham is that you can dress it up or dress it down depending on the occasion…I love it layered with jeans for a casual look or for a more dressed up look, simply pair it with a light weight skirt like I did here. My monogrammed clutch is from GiGi NY and it comes it countless hues and is a great going out back that adds a pop of color to any ensemble. Pale pink pumps?…Umm yes! These beauties are from NYLA…unfortunately they are a bit too small on me so you can actually score these straight from my Poshmark closet for a fraction of the actual retail cost. Once again rocking my Kendra Scott druszy ring…I think I am slightly obsessed…oops! Now to share my idea with you guys…it seems that the wave of the future or rather now is being a video ~~vixen~~ (not in THAT way…) but rather stepping in front of the camera and chatting away rather than just taking pretty pictures. So after some talking with my brother aka my photographer we came up with an idea of doing an ongoing video series to accompany my blog…what do you guys think? Are videos the way to go? What kind of videos would you like to see?! Don’t Be Basic…

Happy Wednesday Loves! I am a bit obsessed with this outfit A) Because Sarah shot the photos and made me look pretty decent…I’m always wary when anyone other than my brother or sister shoot me, but I think she did a fabulous job & B) Because I love this ‘Don’t Be Basic‘ graphic tee for fall! I got this tee at Target but I found a similar one from Revolve Clothing. My faux leather jacket (which I have had since high school) is LC By Lauren Conrad at Kohls…can you tell yet that I am a huge fan of her collection? I found a similar one from Old Navy (have to keep the low price point!).

Now to break down my fall accessories…My Louis Vuitton Speedy Bag was one of the best Christmas gifts I ever got…from when I was a freshman in college. I got hooked on designer bags at a young age and have been collecting ever since…my closet loves it, my wallet not so much. I spotted these Report Shoes booties on clearance at Marshalls a month ago and knew instantly they were going to be my must have fall shoe…comfortable, affordable and stylish…you can’t beat that combination.

Kendra Scott jewelry was at the Reward Style party during NYFW and gifted us bloggers this fabulous drusy ring. It’s edgy and fun…my go to piece when it comes to standing out!

My maroon skater skirt is from the fab team at Pink Basis…it’s no longer available but I spotted a similar one at Target. Maroon is one of my favorite hues for fall!
