Happy Tuesday Loves! While I am far from a beauty expert, there are times where I become slightly make up obsessed and this weekend was one of those times. First off, I am HORRIBLE when it comes to finding the perfect beauty products for me. Foundation is my arch nemesis…every time I pick a product I always second guess and pick the wrong shade or apply it in correctly, you name it I do it. Well while spending some quality time at Ulta over the weekend I discovered this baby…NYX HD Studio Foundation and may I say this…it’s AMAZING! If a girl who barely can do your makeup is telling you this product is easy to apply, gives light to full coverage depending on what you want and won’t break the bank…then trust me on this, it’s something you MUST try <3 I’m obsessed. In order to set it throughout the day since I get oily I also got the Mineral Powder from NYX so I can not look shiny…isn’t that the worst!Now I also learned (from years of applying my makeup incorrectly) that no matter what, your foundation never changes…meaning this. Stick with your natural skin tone, just because you get tan in the summer or feel you look pale doesn’t mean you start changing shades when it comes to foundation. I’ve now spoken to tons of beauty gurus…bloggers, make up artists, estheticians and more…your base never changes, if you want color use bronzer baby! My personal favorite is the Matte Bronzer from NYX above…comes in 3 different shades and gives great beach like color! Now if you’ve never tried NYX Butter Gloss…ladies your missing out on life. It’s first off so cheap (usually $4-$6) and it gives a smooth and shiny color without leaving your lips feeling dry or sticky. This is my savior…I can apply and re-apply it all day long! Figured I may as well share my go to beauty shopping accessories…my phone because 1) I don’t purchase without coupons & 2) Retail Me Not in Ulta is your best friend. There are always coupons and I usually also type a list of products I need in the notepad on my phone so I don’t forget. My cosmetic bag is from Fendi and get ready for this…I purchased it at…Costco! Yes ladies did you know Costco sells Fendi? I was beyond thrilled when I saw they carry this makeup bag and got even more thrilled when I saw the price $115 (for the large) woot woot! Who would have thought Costco could be so fashion forward 😉 I’m off to play with more makeup…I’m attempting to learn how to do my eye makeup using all my new eye shadow shades from NYX…any suggestions? I’m the worst when it comes to doing my eyes…oops!
