Oh how time flies…I can’t believe Christmas is just a week away! Decorations are up, presents are wrapped, groceries have been bought + I am ready for a relaxing and festive week with family to lead into an exciting 2020.!
Whether you are keeping the holidays low key or going all out, this is one of my favorite times of year to reflect on everything that happened over the past year and think ahead to what will make the next year to come even better.
One of my favorite parts of the holiday season is the festive apparel…green and red will forever be my favorite holiday color scheme + every time I put it on I instantly feel holiday cheer!
It’s funny usually the holidays seem more magical and festive when you are a kid as opposed to being an adult but over the past few years, the holidays have always been magical for my boyfriend and I. We are super into decorating, venturing out to see local Christmas lights + shows, seeing Disneyland decorated for the holidays + watching every holiday cooking show Hulu has to offer haha :p
One of the parts I love most about the holidays is the time to be close to family and enjoy traditions. Something I learned over the years is that those moments occasionally change as you enter different stages of your life. The holidays with my family were nice but the holidays with my boyfriend are even more joyous and we create our own traditions that we can’t wait to pass down to our family one day…crazy to think but it’s what makes the holidays even more exciting!
Are you excited for the upcoming holidays? What are your Christmas traditions?
I hope ya’ll are as excited as me for Christmas! We have been in full on festive mode from a holiday trip to Disney (blog post coming soon), to wrapping presents, to decorating Gingerbread Cookies…and I can’t believe it’s just days away. I have been rocking my ugly Christmas sweaters, playing Christmas music non-stop and of course shooting some last minute holiday looks like this one. It’s easy to pull together with just a few easy pieces you may already have in your closet.
I picked up this Christmas graphic tee a few weeks ago + have been wearing it ever since. It’s easy to style with jeans, cozy leggings or even dress it up like I did here with a festive white skirt + pumps.
I have never been one for graphic tees but I thought outside the box a bit + became a fan of them when I dressed ’em up like I did here.
If you have a bunch of graphic tees whether for the holiday season or anytime, an easy way to dress them up is pairing them with a chic midi skirt like this one + some pumps.
I am convinced every gal needs a classic pair of white pumps in her wardrobe. No matter what the season, they look perfect with every look. I feel the same way about the chic white pleated skirt. It is a great skirt to wear season to season + I have work this with moto jackets, crop tops, sweaters etc!
Greetings from N Y! It’s the first time I have been back home since moving to LA back in June…crazy I know! Well the weather here in NY has in fact reminded me of why I moved to LA…all of this rain and fog is raining on my parade (literally + figuratively haha)…I wanted to shoot blog photos and clearly that isn’t happening :p But at least that leaves me plenty of time to cuddle up with Charlie! He will be my kiss under the mistletoe 😉My look is pure Christmas! A maroon fit + flare dress paired with a black faux fur vest and some fuzzy heels (because aren’t these adorable?!)…what outfit can be better?! This dress is perfect for work, play, date night + beyond (and since it is a comfy silhouette, you can wear it comfortably all night long).
My black faux fur vest is a winter staple for NY + LA…layer it over a dress, sweater, button down + more to instantly add some ‘chic‘ flare to any look!
I am totally in L O V E with these faux fur heels<3 They are sassy + comfortable…total win/win in my book!! My heels are from JustFab but I also found a similar pair from ASOS here (both options are affordable) 🙂
My signature Holiday bag? The Rebecca Minkoff Affair Bag…it’s my affordable alternative to a Chanel (one day I will have the real thing — as soon as I stop having a beer budget hahaha)
And no Holiday look is complete without a little bling and sparkle…I decided to opt for a new trend — this Lariat Necklace (similar)! I have seen this trend all over the red carpet, instagram + countless blogs but I have always been pretty basic when it comes to my bling so this piece made me step outside my comfort zone and boy am I glad I did!
