Happy Fri-Yay Everyone! Weekend Adventures…

Happy Tuesday Loves! May be a day late to share about my weekend adventure but hey better late than never right? On Sunday I headed to the Bronx with my dad to attend the Orchard Beach Car Show…he has a 1972 Chevelle SS with a 454 (if you are a car person or know a car person the response usually is along the lines of…big block or sweet car). I snapped photos , walked by the beach and unfortunately got a little sick from the heat…never a dull moment with me…trust me hahaThis is my dad’s beauty…his pride and joy and a classic piece of All American Muscle. This was the first show he ever entered and he most likely won. Unfortunately due to us leaving early because I got sick, we didn’t get to catch the award ceremony…but if you ask me he wins the trophy for dad of the year after trying to make me feel better…daddy’s girl forever and ever!On a brighter note, I saw some sick cars…all shapes, sizes, colors, models and ever car had it’s own little story…in a way cars for men are like fashion for women…they share a little about who they are and where they have been in their lives. Every time I buy a handbag I equate it to my dad fixing up his car…it’s something I love and something he loves…only difference? His love is an investment that increases in value…mine..just decreases my bank account haha! And then we spotted this little memo around the gas cap…like I said every guy’s car sends a message 😉Good Ole’ General Lee from the Dukes Of Hazzard! Hop in ya’ll! Spotted this little memo on a decked out hearse…the message speaks for itself. I have plenty of experience with this, not that I’m proud of it but let’s just say texting and driving…never a good idea even if you don’t harm yourself or someone else, the law will catch up with you…got to sit through some more defensive driving classes for that one! After checking out some cars, we walked over to the beach where my dad got back to his roots of A) Playing photographer for my blog and B) Seeing the beach he used to go to as a child (my dad was born and raised in the Bronx till he was a teenager). All in all it was a fun Sunday…summer weather, laid back vibes and the sound of engines raring to go…what more can a gal ask for? 🙂

Happy Humpday Loves! I’m already having a fabulous week and I am especially loving this New York weather! Yesterday I opted for a casual and comfy look while I visited the newly named ‘Anna Wintour Costume Institute’ ‘Beyond Fashion’ exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art & as if that wasn’t cool enough, my brother and I went to a taping of ‘Inside The Actor’s Studio’ featuring my #WCW (Woman Crush Wednesday…duh!) Mariska Hargitay AKA Olivia Benson from Law & Order SVU…my guilty pleasure <3 I’m having a ‘Shop Genius’ moment from Nordstrom Rack. I love a simple chambray top, especially this button down that I paired with an olive cami and white shorts from Abercrombie (which are from high school by the way…score for me, the gym is paying off!). My number one go to accessory for a day in the Big Apple is my Louis Vuitton Neverfull tote and some chic sunnies. I LOVE this bag…it’s huge enough to fit everything including the kitchen sink (which knowing me may end up in my bag haha!) and it’s classic and simple. I like adding a little edge to any look with some great aviators like these ones! My shoes are an oldie but a goodie. I bought these straw smoking slippers from…drum roll please…NY & Company over two years ago! I absolutely love these shoes, by the way NY & Company has killer shoes and they are affordable…YES! Smoking slippers are an easy way to dress up a casual ensemble…I feel like they tie a look together sometimes better than a pair of sandals can. When I’m having a simple, care free day I go for simple jewelry like my signature gold and diamonds ‘M’ initial necklace which I received from my grandmother when I was younger, but I found a similar one from Nadri at Nordstrom that I love as well 🙂 Hope you love this casual look as much as I do! Happy Monday loves! Time for another busy week of blogging, work and appointments, but I’m still reminiscing about how fabulous this past weekend was! The weather was great and my outfits…casual yet chic in Soho 🙂 I decided to rock my first ever ‘Maxi’ type piece…shocking I know. Since I’m 5’3 I usually have a hard time wearing longer lengths, but I spotted this skirt at Nordstrom Rack and totally gave in!I’m once again wearing my Dominie Luxury Jelly Tote…this bag has been a huge hit. Ladies everywhere are asking me where I got it, how much and what designer is it. Well…it’s from Dominie Luxury in California…it costs $147 and is the perfect summer bag! My shoes were a great Payless find during their huge sandal sale…you know I can never turn down a sale…especially on shoes! These wedges are totally comfy and cute…perfect summer combo ladies 🙂Aren’t they great? I think I will be living in these all summer! And while I embraced the maxi skirt trend, I always reverted back to Chambray and layered a simple chambray button down over the skirt for the ultimate casual weekend look 🙂 I got lucky with Nordstrom Rack…my top and skirt are both from their clearance racks!

Back To Chambray…

Happy Humpday Loves! This title was slightly creative on my part. This outfit was shot at my elementary school on Long Island! Talk about back to school…or in this case back to Chambray because this top has been in my closet since the fall and it is even better because it can be worn year round! It came back around again 😉 A great ‘Shop Genius’ find from Nordstrom Rack…oh how I love a good deal!In addition to rocking a great chambray find, I am sporting a piece from the Catherine Malandrino Collection for Kohls…total price? $10…yes people, $10. I always wait for the designer collections to hit the clearance sections of Kohls and Target…9 times out of 10 they never sell out…unless it’s Missoni because that flew off the shelves, nothing in the clearance section there!Gotta love a ‘whip my hair’ moment…joys of a 13 year old being your photographer…she catches every moment! Knowing me, bling and a killer manicure is always involved when it comes to an outfit post! I will never get sick of this ‘Borrowed Blue’ Essie nail polish, my Michael Michael Kors Gold Chain Watch or my ‘M’ Initial Necklace which I received from my Grandma when I was little…sometimes the basics never go out of style! Another signature must have that will never fade…nude wedges! Steve Madden is one of my go to designers when it comes to footwear especially wedges because they are so comfortable! You can actually shop mine on Poshmark {I love them but I need to make room in my closet…the amount of shoes I own is scary haha}In addition to my love for nude wedges…I love a great nude / beige bag. This Coach one does just the trick. I feel every gal needs a great cross body bag for day trips, nights out and more…this bag has room for all your essentials and is amazing quality because it’s Coach of course! Like My Look?
