Navy for fall? G r o u n d b r e a k i n g! Ok so maybe navy isn’t all that shocking, but I do love it for the fall season. This is another outfit where I got to start with a key piece from Uniqlo! Seriously…I am L O V I N G all of their stuff (where has Uniqlo been all of my life…for real!) This navy skirt is the perfect piece to add to your fall rotation…along with a chic bomber jacket (tell me a bomber jacket isn’t a great must-have for fall)!I always like to pair a midi skirt with a crop top. Call me weird but I think the proportions just fit so well together (plus layered under an oversized bomber jacket it shows off some shape :p which would otherwise be hidden).
But this skirt…I am completely obsessed with. For some reason I find midi skirts like this one to be so classy and chic. They can be dressed up or down and I love them for work or play. Plus it can be transitioned from season to season.
The sun is shining, flowers are blooming and i can finally get back by the water to share some spring style. There is nothing I love more than being by the beach, the water and enjoying nice weather…which is exactly what I did all weekend. I did some spring shopping (did a little damage during the Lord & Taylor ‘Friends + Family Sale’ and got some preppy pieces from J.Crew…I can’t believe I haven’t shopped there more often) And I stocked up on new tech accessories for my car and my new iPhone which is coming in the mail tomorrow…can’t wait! I hear the camera quality on the 6 blows the 5 out of the water so I can’t wait to find out!
One of the other things I did this weekend was get outside and head to the beach to shoot this look. I have a thing for bomber jackets…I styled bomber jackets two different ways on the blog so far (here + here) and now here is one more…with a chic chiffon dress perfect for a spring date night or to go from the office to happy hour!
Swing Batter Batter…SWING! Woohoo! It is finallyFriday…and it couldn’t come soon enough! It’s been a long and hectic week for me between work and blogger events, I have been completely wiped out and I for one can’t wait to get some rest this weekend (although I doubt that’ll actually happen). I was looking forward to being able to finally shoot some spring looks baring a little skin…but mother nature isn’t working in my favor, it is snowing…yea you heard me, it’s snowing in New York…Over It! Anyways, back to this look. If you didn’t already know, I am a complete girly girl so the only way you can get me to a baseball field is if I can take pictures on it 😉 This bomber jacket look did just the trick…sporty chic perfection. Happy Tuesday Lovers! I am writing this post at midnight while watching my favorite late night talk show…Watch What Happens Live hosted by my ever favorite Andy Cohen (P.S. his new book is out now & would make a perfect holiday gift for the Housewives lover in your life..hint-hint get it here) OK now back to the basics…how I rocked a bomber jacket take 1. I spotted this bomber jacket (from Old Navy…no longer available) a few weeks ago and wasn’t sure if it was truly me…I know absolutely nothing about sports…rarely rock sports related apparel and it reminded me of something out of a Justin Bieber music video (circa ‘Baby’ with Ludacris). But I discovered how to style it…with a classic white faux leather skirt and black crop top.As if the white skirt and crop top didn’t make this bomber jacket girly enough add a killer pair of heeled booties…maybe like these Altuzarra for Target booties that I am currently selling on Poshmark here.My bag is an essential for every gal…Rebecca Minkoff ‘Mini Mac’ Bag. I have it in a variety of colors but black is always a classic…it matches with absolutely everything and is the ideal going out back or even an easy one to carry when running errands. On a side note…In addition to obsessing over how I actually made a bomber jacket girly and how to have it do absolutely nothing with sports, I am super excited for the premiere of Lisa Edelstein’s new show on Bravo (hey I told you I was watching WWHL while writing this…) ‘Girlfriend’s Guide To Divorce’! Pretty sure “Go Find Yourself” while become the newest craze…I love the clips I’ve seen and I can’t wait to see how the story unfolds!P.S. I hope you had a productive weekend of shopping…I know I definitely did. Last night alone I snagged a few exciting essentials which I will share with you this weekend don’t you worry 😉 | Click To Shop My Look |
