Happy Halloween loves ♥

I don’t know about you, but I have always been one for treats over tricks hehe 😉 My idea of the perfect treat? A new outfit of course! One of my favorite treats is receiving packages from Tobi.com. They have everything I am looking for no matter what the occasion…including this tiered skater dress!

I am not one to dress up for Halloween but maybe I will go as a blogger this year haha (imagine) 😉 Whether you are trick or treating or heading to a party tonight, a LBD (especially a skater dress) is always a good idea. Simply style it with some platform heeled sandals like these beauties from Seven Dials and you are ready to go!

I love the flared sleeves on this dress + the deep v style. It is great to wear on date night or for a night out with the gals.

The cotton material is super comfy and what I love most about Tobi is that they always have the best sales, which for a girl who loves a bargain, is always a win.

Plus, online shopping to me is always a ‘treat‘ because when the order arrives at your doorstep it feels like a present haha even though you ordered it…it still is a exciting surprise when it arrives!

These sunnies are an oldie but a goodie – they are from Le Specs and the polka dot frames are so fun for Halloween!

Honestly a fun pair of frames can instantly add sass to any look if you ask me 🙂

These shoes are actually pretty comfy to go ‘trick or treating‘ in haha The platform makes them comfortable and stylish at the same time.

As for my bag…it is the beauty I snagged in Paris from Chanel.

White After Labor Day…

Happy Tuesday everyone! After a long holiday weekend (which was much needed in my opinion :p), I am happy to be back to the normal grind + hustle! I have been pretty swamped focusing on building up my social consulting business + designing a new site for it (stay tuned…I am perfecting the design hehe), being a boss lady ain’t easy…let me tell ya haha However, one of my highlights of the long Labor Day Weekend (other than the amazing sales) was being able to meet up with some of my blogger friends – I have been out of commission for a little bit since I’ve been drowning in work + the blog, but heading to a comedy show + some brunch was the perfect way to catch up with some of my favorite gals!

Now we all know the saying goes ‘No White After Labor Day‘. Well I made it pretty obvious last week that I fully intend on wearing white wayyyy after Labor Day…especially white skinny jeans! I linked to some of my favorite pairs HERE (all affordable btw :p)!

This outfit is one of those moments that I feel white jeans simply dress a look up making it perfect for work or play. I would totally wear this look to the office — comfy jeans, a chic cold shoulder top (this one is from Make Me Chic + is under $20!!) and a bag + shoes sure to make a statement…what’s better than that?!

These jeans are from Old Navy + are my favorite pair since they have some stretch and don’t break the bank!

I am continuing to LOVE the cold shoulder trend, so this top is perfect for fall since it has the long bell sleeves that can be worn for work or play!

You all know I LOVE a ‘Pop Of Color‘ as part of all my looks, so pairing blue suede shoes + a cobalt blue satchel seems like the perfect combo if you ask me 😉 It never looked so good to be ‘blue‘ haha

My bag is from Kenneth Cole, but I found a similar one available in two different sizes at Macy’s from Ralph Lauren!

Party Planning With Coke Zero + Oreo…

Just call me hostess with the mostess! As I get older, I am slowly but surely learning how much prep work goes in to throwing the ‘perfect party‘ or gathering (it’s a lot…Martha Stewart I give you credit :p). Between the shopping, coordinating, decorating etc. It really takes a lot of time and attention to detail, so what’s a gal to do when she has just 2 days to plan and throw the best NCAA viewing party ever? (ok…exaggerating a little…it may not have been the ‘best’ but it was pretty close if you ask me haha!) Make a plan + get to it! Here’s my ‘How to throw a fun bash on a budget!’

There is no handbook on how to throw a fun, affordable get together, but here are a few of my awesome tips that helped me prep for a great NCAA viewing party!

1.Make a list of your party essentials — I am a visual person so making a list of the snacks, decor or favors I will need really helps me prep for my trip to the store (plus it helps me make sure I don’t forget anything)!

2.Search your local stores flyers to circle what items you need — This is a great chance to see what specials are happening / sales going on. I got lucky at Von’s and discovered thatCoca-Cola Zero™ was on sale just in time for my viewing party! (Usually, the more you buy, the more you save — this kind of deal is perfect for a party since you are normally buying in bulk anyway)!

3.Head to the store — After getting your list together and going through the weekly circular to make note of what to get, it’s time to head to the store and stock up (and save)!

For this party, I headed to Von’s to shop for my party snacks (specifically Coke Zero + OREO…they are kinda my favorite + super yummy…so if there are leftovers, I get to have what I actually like haha!)

4.Start setting up — After shopping, that leaves one thing…begin setting up for the party! I picked out cute glassware, serving trays + bowls to serve snacks and beverages in (I mean if i am throwing a party it has to be insta-worthy :p).

And voila! You are basketball viewing party ready!
