Spring Transition…

I am determined to make it spring outside…I am over the slushy sidewalks, constant ~~fear~~ of snow screwing up my commute and the fact that it makes me sleepier than usual (case in point I am practically falling asleep while writing this…in case you didn’t know, I write my posts the night before they are published…9/10 times I am wrapped in a towel with wet hair laying on my bed having the constant battle in my head of whether to write the post or pass out…clearly we see what won…writing the post haha) I LOVE color year round, so it’s no surprise that for one of the freezing days at NYFW I decided to wear shades of white, blue and black (all I am missing is gold and it could potentially be #The Dress…seriously didn’t understand that whole craze for all of 24 hours haha) Anyways…Back to what I am wearing and how it can transition perfectly into the spring.

I love everything about today’s look because all of the pieces can be worn in various ways. A faux fur vest is a great option to wear well into spring because it keeps ya warm without the bulkiness of a coat…what I did here to keep me warm, is simply layer it over my white boyfriend blazer (did I mention how much I love white blazers…pretty much love them more than black ones..clearly not traditional haha). And what matches with a white blazer better than white pants right? #Obsessed + For my ‘Pop Of Color’ a cobalt blue blouse…my favorite color for spring…summer…pretty much year round 😉

Accessories wise I kinda did ‘All Black Everything’ minus my navy suede OTK boots that is 😉 How great are they? I can’t believe I scored them on clearance at Nordstrom Rack (basically they were a present to myself when I ‘even exchanged’ the gift my mom got me for Christmas…hey it’s still a present right? :p) I have worn this black floppy hat in a few different outfit posts now…once in Florida by the pool, once with a chic red sweater and once with my snow day outfit. And of course my newest handbag investment…the Gucci Soho Work Tote…I seriously love it and wear it everyday to work…best bag for commuting <3

On a side note, I got my first ever facial at Sisley Paris in NYC last night and it was the BEST facial I ever got in my life…I left with my skin feeling rejuvenated, fresh and as soft as a baby’s bottom 😉 I can’t wait to go back and save up to own all of their products (maybe I will have to cut back on the shopping…hmmm #WhatIsAGirlToDo?)*Photos By Lydia Hudgens

Playing In The Snow With Joules…

Welcome to the beautiful beaches of Long Island….which are now covered in tons and tons of snow….yea it may take a few more months for me to be actually relaxing on one of these having some fun in the sun but for now…I guess some snow time it is. I am one who rarely wants to dress weather appropriate (for gods sake I refuse to wear any coat that actually closes….yes I am weird and hate constricting clothing #weirdo…I feel like I am always having hot flashes even though I am only 23…maybe i should get that checked out but I digress).

I decided to get it together and embrace the snow with these Joules boots which are perfect for rain, sleet or snow (or if you are in NY a combination of all three). This past weekend has been a whirlwind of weather conditions…snow, rain then a warm sunny Sunday…and that’s what made this look possible…

So I based this whole look around these adorable Joules boots. I LOVE how feminine and girly they are since with me the girlier the better :p The bow on the back of these is the perfect touch! To add a little extra pop to the look I included my cobalt blue clutch (on Poshmark here), mirrored Ray Bans, black infinity scarf and of course my black floppy hat (which I had to keep holding onto my head while I was attempting to do a cute jump in the snow #epicfail).

Can’t forget the bling…here + here. I kept my outfit simple since when I am about to go out in the snow on the weekends, all I care about is adding a little color and being comfortable so all I need is my red Vince Camuto coat and my Hue black leather leggings and bam! Ready to take on the weekend (or the week…whichever has the shittier weather I suppose…sorry mom the weather is making me so angry I kinda have to curse) Where is my sunshine?! #HurryUpSummer

It’s no secret that I have a slight obsession with color…and by color I mean anything that’ll stand out and truly make a statement, maybe even a little pop? 😉 One of my current colors I am crushing on is red…I am on the hunt for a new red bag (if you have any helpful tips or suggestions PLEASE let me know…I can’t seem to find a bag that makes me ‘fall in love’ haha) and here I am wearing a red sweater and red booties in the dead of winter (yes I was freezing while shooting this)!My red pullover sweater was a Target find (hey if I have to wear sweaters all winter long it may as well be a cute one!) and my red suede booties were and Old Navy find (similar here).

With the red comes a hint of black (I love red + black together) so I paired my red pieces with this black Topshop for Nordstrom floppy hat and black skater skirt from Kohls (Both pieces on sale now!)

And of course…the handbag. I am actually selling this ostrich clutch on my Poshmark (here) but found a similar one in a different color from Yes Style (here).

PS I am super excited because I decided to take a last minute trip to Disney for my Birthday (which is Feb.3rd btw)! I can’t wait to escape this cold winter weather and to have some fun with Mickey & Minnie 🙂

Happy Monday Loves! I once again am beating Monday blues with a little…Blue! I am OBSESSED with the whole moto jacket trend for fall…and I love it even more when I can find great ones at an affordable price like this powder blue moto jacket from Apt.9 at Kohls! Never doubt the possibility of finding a great trend piece for less without forgoing on quality 😉 So time to reveal a little secret…A few people have asked on here and on instagram about if the weather where I am is still warm…well no not really haha. My brother shoots my outfits and we tend to shoot a bunch of looks at a time so I have looks I’ve shot in the warmer weather that will be sprinkled in amongst colder weather looks on the blog. I definitely couldn’t have rocked this skirt ensemble yesterday because it was FREEZING on Long Island…I only got one outfit shot because I was too chicken to fight the cold…pretty sure I’m meant to be in warmer climate lol (insert monkey covering eyes emoji here)Now let’s break down the look…My white crop top is from J Lo for Kohls and you can score it now for…drum roll please $4! YES $4. Dress it up, dress it down and wear it season to season. And I made it perfect for fall by layering the moto jacket and adding a cute black floppy hat. A simple black scuba skirt is always a sure bet to tie a look together and the best part is that it is a transitional piece to wear year round.I had to have my traditional ‘Pop Of Color’ by adding this magenta Rayne necklace from Kendra Scott…what better way to bring summer into the fall / winter.These black suede boots have been an absolute life saver when it comes to easily feeling sexy in the cold fall weather.
