Formula 10.0.6 Clean Getaway Travel Kit | Grace & Stella Anti-Wrinkle Energizing Eye MasksMario Badescu Travel Size Facial Spray with Aloe, Cucumber and Green Tea

My trip to London is quickly approaching + that means time to PACK! So while I am still planning all of my looks for London (and Paris – yes we are going to head to Paris for a few days, yay!) I already have my skincare + haircare essentials down pat since I found the best travel size options to bring abroad from Ulta (my go to place for all things hair, skin + beauty)!

Check out some of my favorites below – travel size options are also a great way to test out a product you may want to buy full size without making the commitment 😉 So if you have commitment issues haha Then travel size hair + skin care work well for year round usage.

Pictured are my current favorites – the Mario Badescu Travel Size Facial Spray with Aloe, Cucumber and Green Tea is beyond refreshing + makes for the perfect spritz you need to keep yourself feeling fresh on the plane! Also, I already love Formula 10.0.6 so their travel products will keep my oily skin at bay while I am away for two weeks (hey every gal needs herself a good face mask, what can I say) :p

    My Microblading Journey…

missyonmadison, eyebrows, eyebrow goals, brow goals, brow products, brow tattoo, tattoo eyebrows, microblading, eyebrow microblading, bloglovin, la blogger, microblading tips and tricks, microblading reviews, browgazm, microblading la, brows, microblading tips, beauty tips, beauty blog, beauty reviews,

Happy Monday Babes ♥ ICYMI last weekend I took the plunge + got my eyebrows microbladed! After seeing countless reviews, videos + articles on the procedure I was nervous to say the least but the result…well you can just see for yourself 😉 Pure MAGIC if you ask me!!

Before I dive in to my life changing experience, let me give you the 411 on what exactly ‘Microblading‘ is! As defined by Wikedpedia (you know the go to source on everything haha :p luckily this isn’t a college paper so I can get away with using it as my source haha), Microblading is a form of permanent makeup that provides a means to partially or fully camouflage missing eyebrow hair with the appearance of simulated hair using fine deposits of cosmetic tattoo pigments. Basically it is a semi-permanent tattoo for your brows! I know it sounds scary, but let me assure you…it is life changing.

Microblading is perfect for those who aren’t makeup savvy (like myself) or those who need a defined shape for their brows. I have struggled with attempting to have perfect brows for years so when Hazel from Browgazm reached out to me and asked if I was up for trying microblading I said YES! My friends definitely tried to scare me considering it is getting a tattoo so their is a little pain (but for me it wasn’t that bad) and then there was the fear of how they would turn out…I mean it is permanent haha no one wants messy brows for life!

Luckily Hazel treated my brows as if they were works of art.

She first started by cleaning up my brows, creating a shape + mapping out where she will tattoo. It was literally like she was sketching my dream brows haha She spent a good amount of time creating the perfect arch, working with the shape I already had for my brows etc. Hazel was great at explaining every step of the process and alleviating all of my concerns.

How cool is it to see how she mapped out the brows? I loved watching every step of the way. After mapping the brows out, she began applying numbing cream to make the procedure as painless as possible.

I used to get my eyebrows threaded etc so this wasn’t that painful in my opinion. As long as your technician uses numbing cream and leaves times for it to absorb into your skin, you will be good to go! If you are extra sensitive to pain, I would suggest taking an Aleve beforehand 🙂

The process takes about 2-3 hours depending on your brows. If the technician is creating a whole new brow for you, it may take longer than someone like myself who is just getting it filled in + an arch created.

You do tend to bleed a little and get swollen from the process but that is because incisions are being made that the tattoo pigments are being deposited in. The first 3-5 days after microblading, your brows are dark but overtime they will lighten to the natural color of your brows.

It’s important to remember how to care for your brows post procedure:

1.Apply Vaseline or Aquaphor to your brows twice a day for the first week to alleviate any dryness or scabbing that will occur.

2.Avoid applying brow products or makeup within the first 10 days after your treatment (honestly it’s been a week now since I got mine done and I don’t anticipate ever having to use brow products again!)

3.Pat them with a paper towel + avoid water + moisture for the first 10 days. It’s important to give your brows time to absorb the pigmentation and keep them as dry as possible for it to fully set.

All in all I feel like this process has been life changing. I feel confident in my brows + overall look AND this saves me so much time in the morning. I used to try multiple brow products to achieve the perfect arch but with microblading I now have a path to follow so it is beyond easy to maintain (you still need to take care of the hairs that grow outside the tattoo of course).

Hazel made me feel comfortable with the process + really educated me with all that goes in to doing microblading properly, that is something I greatly appreciated as someone that was a little nervous about how it would turn out 🙂

If you are in the LA area I highly recommend Browgazm – check out all of Hazel’s channels below to see other testimonials, special offers + chat with her about how she can revolutionize your brows!

P U C K E R UP ♥ There is nothing I love more than some great beauty buys that are amazing quality without breaking the bank. Part of blogging is testing various products out + in my mind, the challenge is always ‘Would I use this instead of the products I have become accustomed to in my everyday routine?’ Today’s verdict…YES! I have been a fan of Milani Cosmetics for a while but when their new Amore Mattes Lip Creme came out, I knew I had to give it a go because any lip products that glide on perfectly + last all day are exactly what I am looking for!

The colors are so pigmented + these shades in particular have a bit of shine to them since they were some of their metallic hues!

These shades are perfect for work, play, date night, happy hour + beyond. They are moisturizing so they don’t dry your lips out + the color lasts all day despite not being a ‘liquid lipstick‘ which still seems to be such a trend lately (honestly liquid lipstick freaks me out since it has a difficult time coming off + dries out my lips haha :p).

While I am currently crushing on these lip glosses from Milani, they still have a variety of products I love to use as well…see my picks below!

    Getting That G L O W….

Mystic Tan Gradual Tan Lotion | Mocha Kyssed Bronzer Spray | Mystic Tan Bronzer Stick | Mystic Tan Booster | VersaSpa Bronzing Mist | VersaSpa Gradual Tanning Butter | VersaSpa Luminous Legs Shimmering Oil | VersaSpa Intensifying Primer

Happy Monday! So I have a confession…I have an irrational fear of being pale…no joke haha Ever since I was a teenager my obsession was always being tan. Maybe it’s my love of wearing skirts + dresses meaning I wanted my legs to look tan at all times or maybe I just took the whole ‘GTL‘ thing a bit too seriously from Jersey Shore :p haha Come on, you know you miss hearing ‘Cabs Are HERE!‘ lol! (ICYMI…this was pretty major haha)

cabs are here, jersey shore, gtl, cabs are here!, gif, pauly d, mtv, gym tan laundry,

Anyways…now being in LA you would think being tan wouldn’t be an issue, but since I am not able to spend everyday at the beach (working sucks doesn’t it? :p #adultproblems) I need to rely on trustee self tanners to get my skin bronzed + glowing. This is where Mystic Tan + VersaSpa come in 😉

I have been playing around with different tanning products since I was in NY. Jergens, Sally Hansen, St. Tropez etc but I got the same problem with all of them…I looked fake, orange and they stained my tube and sheets (major issue come laundry day) so I needed to find a new set of products that would do the trick and solve these issues while giving me a great glow!

Whether you opt for a spray/mist or a lotion, Mystic Tan + VersaSpa have a variety of products in different shade ranges that best suit your skin for a natural looking glow that is far from orange (that’s always my biggest fear when trying self tanners). Their products are all affordable (under $40) + they last you forever! A little goes a long way when applying!

I always start my self tanning routine by first using the Cleansing Body Wash & Exfoliator, this pretty much makes my skin a smooth canvas ready for a bronzed glow. Then I use the Gradual Tanning Butter or Lotion to begin getting the subtle glow. Usually if I have a beach day coming up, I will bring along a Booster or Intensifying Lotion to help maximize my tan from being in the sun while helping it last longer at the same time!

My Newest Hair Obsession — L&L Hair Care…

missyonmadison, melissa tierney, l and l hair products, cactus salon, vegan haircare, haircare, hairstyle, beauty blogger, beauty blog, hair trends, hair dresser, vegan products, shampoo and conditioner,

Happy Thursday! In honor of throwback Thursday, I am sharing a review of a brand NEW haircare line that comes straight from my hometown on Long Island! You may remember I mentioned that back when I was living on Long Island I actually worked at a hair salon for years while I was in college. I loved it because I got to constantly switch up my hairstyle, try new products + learn how to do my hair like a professional! Even though I moved to LA, I still rely on my trustee hair dressers back home to steer me in the right direction when it comes to haircare 🙂

Taking care of your hair requires the right products! It only makes sense that two professional hair dressers would know the right combination of ingredients and products to create a haircare line that is perfect for various types of hair and helps you maintain a healthy, shiny + flawless look! L and L Hair Products is a complete line of haircare products that are: certified organic, sodium chloride and sulfate free!

missyonmadison, melissa tierney, l and l hair products, cactus salon, vegan haircare, haircare, hairstyle, beauty blogger, beauty blog, hair trends, hair dresser, vegan products, shampoo and conditioner, missyonmadison, melissa tierney, l and l hair products, cactus salon, vegan haircare, haircare, hairstyle, beauty blogger, beauty blog, hair trends, hair dresser, vegan products, shampoo and conditioner,

The line is made of vegan formulas and every ingredient was handpicked by Lori & Laurie (get it…L and L hehe :p). I love how passionate they are about the line and the products. They have taken their years of experience of working in haircare and bottled it up into the perfect line of products 🙂

My personal favorites are the Quench Shampoo and Conditioner! They smell delicious and make your hair feel hydrated and healthy…that is literally the best feeling in the world and it makes you even want to just wear your hair au naturale.

If you are looking for great styling products, look no further than the Volumizing Primer (to add that extra ‘oomph‘ and volume to your look) and Amazon Finishing Mist Hair Spray. I love these for when I am going to curl my hair. I add Volumizing Primer to my hair that I let air dry so I get some extra volume and the Amazon Finishing Mist Hair Spray after I curl my hair to set my look without getting that awkward crunchy texture :p
