I hope ya’ll had a great weekend! I spent mine BBQing, shooting new outfits + relaxing with my boo. We have been so busy with furnishing our place, shooting campaigns + traveling, sometimes a weekend of rest + relaxation is much needed. You know what else helps me rewind?Blogging! hehe :p Obvious I know but I love sharing style inspo with you guys, especially when it’s head to toe affordable like this look!
This dress + these shoes are under $100…and both make such great essentials to have in your summer wardrobe!
My dress is from Skies Are Blue Clothing. I tend to size up with shift dresses since I like them to be a bit loose rather than constricting, plus I always opt for bigger then dry it a few times in the wash to get the desired fit 😉
What I love about Skies Are Blue Clothing is that they sell online from their site as well as other well known retailers like Nordstrom, Dillard’s etc. Their pieces are always on trend, stylish, amazing quality AND a great price. All pieces typically range from $20 – $60 that is something I LOVE since I change my clothes as often as I change my mood hehe :p
My shoes are also a steal of a deal hehe They are from J Adams Shoes + this style in particular retails for under $50 AND comes in a variety of colors. This ankle strap sandal style is my favorite for summer so you know I will be stocking up on this shoe in every color to match all my summer outfits.
My bag is from Cambridge Satchel. I LOVE their bags because they have great colors + styles PLUS all of their bags are great for work or play. They fit your laptop and all of your work essentials PLUS with their colorful styles like this one, they make for the perfect ‘Pop Of Color‘ to brighten up any look.
Happy F R I Y A Y loves ♥ I am beyond happy that it is the weekend – I don’t know about you, but this week has been a long one and the weekend can’t come soon enough! What will I be up to? Shooting outfits at some new colorful walls in LA of course with my bestie 🙂
What can I say, when life gives you a colorful wall…shoot photos in front of it 😉 hehe This look was shot at one of my favorite colorful walls in DTLA! Polka dots in bright, bold colors? Count me IN! With a colorful backdrop comes a rather neutral look like this one featuring my new plunge style dress from Tobi!
This white dress is a bit sexy + sweet, with the plunge top + flowy bottom, it makes for the perfect date night dress (I will for sure be packing this for when I visit my boo in London next month)!
I layered it with this tan trench coat from AMI Clubwear. Now this coat is DEFINITELY coming with me to London since who knows what the weather will be like + it is such an easy to layer piece for day time trips, dinner + beyond 🙂
My heels are one of my favorite parts of this outfit…just look at the pearl detailing – honestly I can’t get over them!
Not only are they chic for a nighttime affair but they are comfortable too so they are the perfect shoe to wear to dress up any look (even jeans and a cute top during the day).
My bag is one of my signature go-to’s from Louis Vuitton. You can never go wrong with a little LV!
Happy Humpday ♥ Ugh the struggle is seriously real today…after a 4 day holiday weekend the last thing I want to do is head back to the office but the show must go on, right? :p All I want to do is head back to the beach, have some BBQ + relax…but I guess this is what adulting is like haha So…I decided in order to cheer myself up I would take advantage of some of the 4th of July Sales I rounded up on the blog yesterday! What cheers ya up better than shopping, am I right? 😉
Since I am dreaming of another relaxing weekend, I am throwing it back to this floral look I wore at one of my favorite desert hot spots to relax at…the La Quinta Resort + Spa in Palm Springs! Palm Springs is one of my favorite places to go to, even in this hot summer desert heat, it is my little piece of paradise what can I say. Since it is way over 100 degrees there now, a kimono is the go to piece to wear when heading out at night after a super hot day.
I love a great floral piece…especially a kimono cardigan like this one. It is great to style with shorts, jeans, a dress or a skirt…very versatile for any occasion. I am linking to some of my favorites below.
Anytime I am in the desert I bring every pair of denim shorts I own along with chiffon lightweight camisoles that can be styled up or down depending on the occasion.
Happy Monday! ♥ I hope you all had a great weekend (I know I sure did!…ICYMI I headed to Six Flags for some much needed thrills – you can see more on my Insta Stories @MissyOnMadison). It’s crazy to think it’s already April and we all know what that means…Easter is right around the corner! I love the spring and spring holidays because they provide the perfect excuse to wear some pretty pastel hues + dresses (much like this halter printed dress from Shop The Mint). I have been a fan of the halter style for years since it pretty much accentuates every female body type + is just so feminine and sweet for Sunday brunch, girls nights + beyond.
I couldn’t sport a pastel dress without wearing it in the presence of a colorful wall of course 😉 haha So I headed to the Saguaro in Palm Springs + found the perfect mix of colorful walls I ever did see! Shop The Mint has a great variety of dresses for every occasion. Whether it is prom, a birthday, a wedding or beyond, they have got you covered on chic dresses at an affordable price!
So I may have titled this post ‘Black Florals‘, but after scrolling through all of the shots of me in this post I may as well name it ‘hair grab‘ since that seems to have become one of my ‘go-to’ poses while shooting new looks :p I am not quite sure how I always end up posing the same way (especially when whoever is shooting tells me to act ‘natural‘…my version of natural is being posed I suppose haha) but as I keep going through my iPhoto library I tend to see a ton of ‘hair grabbing / flipping’ shots #LongHairDontCare!
The past few weeks have been a little hectic for me which has in turn given me less time to blog, but rest assured once I am settled in to my new apartment with my little work area (complete with an instagramworthy set up of course :p) I will be back on track and writing tons more content (hopefully…fingers crossed haha)
