Getting Gorgeous Hair For Summer…

Summer Time Fine♥ With June just days away, I decided it was about time to prep for summer + get a new ‘do’! I have been so swamped with work, moving + the blog that I realized I haven’t actually pampered myself or gotten my hair done in about a year (literally since I moved here last June from NY) :p Cray Cray! Luckily I finally got the chance to get a little ‘refresh’ during Ulta Beauty’s Gorgeous Hair Event! Some new highlights, a fresh cut + a new Missy!

I headed to the Ulta Beauty right near my new apartment in Burbank to get a full day of rest, relaxation + a fresh new look! Nothing screams summer like some fresh new color! I have never been one to over-process my hair, so subtle baby highlights is what my stylist and I discussed…the perfect fit for me! They are low maintenance, don’t need a lot of upkeep + even when they grow out they look like my hair is naturally sun-kissed! Just what summer calls for! I also got some subtle layers to assist with holding curls (I love curling my hair when I have the time, but it is sometimes challenging when it comes to holding a curl…these new layers help with adding some texture to my hair to make long lasting curls possible)♥

The only way to show off a fresh summer do is with a bright new outfit! Let’s break it down — Nothing makes me happier than neon…and a cute pair of heels!

My neon pink dress was actually a clearance find at Forever 21 but I found similar options below:

I layered a white boyfriend blazer over it so it can be styled for work or play!

White ankle strap heels are perfect for any look. Comfortable, match with everything + bam…an easy go to!

As if my neon dress wasn’t enough, I added another P O P of neon with this brand NEW GiGi NY bag from their summer collection♥ I am legit in LOVE with this bag…I mean can ya blame me? 😉

Turquoise In Burbank…

Take me to Turks…Imagine! Getting up and heading to Turks and Caicos…saying adios at the office and just getting away? Oh what a dream…for now, wearing Turquoise, dreaming of a tropical island will have to suffice :p Fun fact…I shot this colorful look (featuring my new All For Color tank) on my new street in Burbank! Perks of moving out of WeHo? Amazing places to shoot and I don’t have to worry about ~~parking~~ or getting a ~~ticket~~! YASSS♥

With summer quickly approaching, adding more color to your wardrobe is essential (especially for me :p), I always love a Pop Of Color and luckily ‘All For Color‘ helps me get my color fix year round! I love their tops, sweaters, dresses, swimsuits + beyond…they are awesome to add color to any look♥

I paired their Turq Racerback Tank with white skinny jeans from Old Navy. Simple.Chic.Classic

For work simply layer a blazer over the look + you are ready to go! For play, just wear this look as is!

My shoes are from Vince Camuto — I was never a fan of the gladiator sandal trend since they tend to shorten your leg, but these nude heeled sandals are AMAZING (not gunna lie) :p

Easy…Breezy…and C O M F O R T A B L E ♥ Just what Monday calls for…while I would love to wear a casual look like this to work, I sadly can’t (I had to go bra-less to rock this M Made In Italy dress :p). It’s funny, when I was younger, I was d y i n g to wear a bra…loved stocking up on Victoria’s Secret PINK ones in all different colors, prints and materials…now, a day I can go bra-less is the best day of the week haha! Don’t get me wrong, I love some fancy undergarments, but as you get older, not having to wear a bra is literally heaven…so with a sheer, sleeveless dress like this one…going bra-less is totally called for AND acceptable! Woohoo!

I actually got this dress during a Coachella gifting suite (#ILoveBlogging). While I couldn’t find this exact style from M Made In Italy online, I found similar options below 🙂

I also got this Ora Delphine maroon crossbody satchel that I added a green puff keychain to (since puffs are super ‘in’ at the moment) :p

Feelin’ Fringy…and feeling ready for the weekend! Work has been cray cray (running all the social channels + planning upcoming videos is a lot of work…exciting but work haha :p) In case you haven’t been in the loop, in addition to managing all of the BH Cosmetics social media, I took on directing + planning the YouTube videos as well…getting my feet wet in the video world is a ton of fun and is kinda giving me the itch to want to focus more on YouTube videos myself…what do you think? Should MissyOnMadison head to YouTube (although I already have a channel, I would love to get on there and doing videos on a consistent basis)! We shall see what happens♥ BUT exciting news, this is the first outfit post shot in Burbank…my new HOME town! woohoo!

Till I decide to step up my YouTube game, let’s break down this look the old fashion way 😉

My navy blue midi skirt is from Uniqlo, I paired it with a simple white crop top and layered a white denim jacket from Old Navy over that. Anytime I wear a high waisted midi skirt I pair it with a crop top — just seems to make sense…the shirt to skirt ratio? haha is that a thing? I am making it a thing :p

My fringe heels are from AMI Clubwear and are perfect for jeans, a skirt, a dress…just about anything! The taupe color and the low heel are ideal for everyday wear and are perfect for the office to happy hour.

Happy Monday! Time for another hectic work week (ugh). Between moving, taking on even more responsibilities at work + trying to keep up with my blog, my head has been S P I N N I N G (if only that translated to my legs so I can physically be doing a Soul Cycle class as I am mentally haha :p). For the first time ever, I am actually having a hard time balancing personal + work life. It’s tough trying to excel at work while also kicking a*s at everything else (insert monkey covering it’s eyes emoji haha), I need a break…a getaway…something♥ Anyways, enough of me b*tching about my current work load haha…off to something a bit more enjoyable to discuss…this outfit!

My new sunnies (yes I am actually switching it up #ProudMoment) are from Nectar Sunglasses. They are cute, affordable + I never have to worry about if god forbid I loose them because at $20 I can always buy another pair if need be 😉 I am also loving this gold lariat necklace…perfect to wear to work, or with a cute date night outfit etc.

So this dress is a little risque…making it perfect for date night or girls night 😉 This white low cut dress reminds me of something J.Lo would wear to the Grammy’s (hey if Jenny from the Block would rock it, so can I, right?)! It’s from AMI Clubwear and retails for under $20…perfect for a Bachelorette party, white party or any kind of party for that matter haha!

I layered a chic moto jacket over it so the dress wasn’t ‘too revealing‘…I mean it’s still revealing but you catch my drift :p

My lace up heels are from De Blossom Collection and I LOVE them♥ They are super comfortable in addition to sexy…the ideal shoe to add some flavor to any look! (Nothing makes me happier than comfort + style being combined into one awesome pair of heels)!

My bag I kept simple…a chic leather cross body bag from Vera Bradley! The tan hue matches with any look and also makes it a quick ‘on the go’ bag to bring when traveling for work or play!
