It’s a chilly day in NYC this morning and that means time to whip out all that cold weather gear!
Today I’m staying warm and comfortable with this outfit as well as stylish! I was freezing this morning so opted for an oversized sweater I got on clearance from LC by Lauren Conrad for Kohls for $10. I paired it with a nice pair of black pants from Kohls to dress up the sweater a little.
While a sweater and pants is always cute, I had to add my own extra flare to the look which I did by wearing my favorite black, faux fur vest by Karen Kane that I got at the end of last winter season at Lord & Taylor for $25! At first I was against the faux fur vest trend but I fell in love with this one as soon as I saw it! It instantly makes any outfit chic and it keeps you warm, can’t beat that!
To break up all the dark colors, I chose to wear my beige, suede boots from Me Too. These boots are so comfortable and wear so well that I ordered them in black as well. While I’ve found a lot of heeled boots to be uncomfortable, these are wearable for any occasion and my feet aren’t in pain afterwards!
And to top it all off, I added a simple black satchel bag by Bulga available at Saks Off Fifth!

It’s mani Monday and we know what that means, time to show off this week’s manicure. Although the fashion rule is no white after Labor Day, I decided to be a rebel and commit a fashion faux paus by rocking a white, hot mani this week!
I accessorized with a gold Michael Kors watch and Marc Jacobs skinny bangle bracelet. A fall look wouldn’t be complete without patent leather black pumps and a bright red pleather skirt!
It’s finally starting to feel like fall this morning in the Big Apple! While I admitted I am a summer gal, the fall opens up a window of opportunity to rock fun textures, prints and colors you simply can’t get away with on a 90 degree day in the middle of July.
My skirt today is one of those items. While on the hunt for a black tie dress for an upcoming work event I stopped into Lord & Taylor and fell in love with this pleather, flowy skirt in red and white (I couldn’t resist buying it in both colors). As always, I never pay full price for my fashion and I scored this skirt on the clearance rack in addition to coupons. I ended up getting this skirt for $30 and its a great staple for the fall season.
I wanted the main focus of the outfit to be the skirt so I paired it with a simple black button down top from Old Navy, Christiano for Payless pumps and one of my favorite Gucci bags with red roses painted on the front.
I get tons of compliments on that Gucci bag and the best part is I scored that for $300 about 6 years ago at the Americana Manhasset Gucci store during an end of the season sale. It’s such a unique bag and I have yet to find one person with it.
These pumps are also a favorite of mine. While I have a hard time finding a pair of comfortable heels, these Christian Siriano for Payless pumps have a nice platform in the front making them easy to walk in without having to forgo a sexy heel.
Happy Monday fashion lovers!

I’m feeling Minty Fresh this evening (sorry I had to use that line!) all thanks to my new mint peplum top I found at Lord & Taylor today for…$7! Yes people, this gorgeous peplum was originally $50 and I got it for $7, that’s the joy of shopping on the clearance rack!
I’m off to a night out in the Big Apple, and since the weather is getting a little chilly this evening, I opted to dress up my favorite pair of jeans from Hollister (from when I was in high school!) with my new peplum top, a classy and simple black boyfriend blazer by LC by Lauren Conrad for Kohls, Anne Klein heels and my trustee quilted and studded Rebecca Minkoff bag!
I truly have fallen in love with this Rebecca Minkoff bag. It’s great for a night out because for one, it looks like the classic and chic Chanel quilted flap over bag for a fraction of the price (Compare the Minkoff at $395 to the Chanel at $5,000, easy decision). I also love this bag because it has enough room for all the essentials for a night out; makeup, charger, spare shoes, wallet & perfume, what else could a girl on the go ask for!
In addition to my love for my Rebecca Minkoff bag, I have a slight obsession with these Anne Klein heels if you hadn’t already noticed. It’s hard to find a stylish and comfortable pair of heels and these are it! I got them at the end of the summer sale at Lord & Taylor and I loved them so much I bought them in hot pink as well. They are great to wear to work or for a night out like tonight and the best part is I can walk all around Manhattan in these without a single wince or complaint, now that’s almost unheard of from a woman in heels!
Happy Saturday fashionistas!
