Fall always makes way for more fashionable items to stuff in our closets. One of my favorite fall must haves that’s a hot trend this season is a good denim jacket.
Similar to finding a pair of jeans, finding the perfect denim jacket can be tough considering the size, fit, cut and wash is so unique to each one. The key is to find the one that flatters your body type the most.
Personally, I found this denim jacket 4 years ago at Forever 21 in Union Square. While I love Forever 21, most of their clothes are known for one or two time wear then straight into the trash. This jacket has become the exception. Despite costing me $20 this jacket is surprisingly good quality and has lasted me season after season.
Today for casual Friday at the FFANY office in NYC, I threw the jacket over a simple black and white printed dress I got 3 years ago at Urban Outfitters on clearance for like $10 (the clearance section of Urban Outfitters always has the best finds).
For shoes, I decided to wear these beige, suede oxford wedges I got from Aldo 2 years ago. Not only is oxford always a fall staple, but the neutral tone goes with any outfit. Also, because they are wedges instead of heels, they are actually comfortable to walk around the city in!
TGIF! Have a great weekend Fashion Lovers and shop my OOTD below:

I’ve always been envious of style icons like Rachel Zoe who can pull of just about any trend due to her tiny little figure, one of those trends being wide leg jeans.
When your short and curvy it’s often times hard to pull off a pair of wide leg jeans without the right top to go with it. In a last minute rush to look cute for work this morning I found these Juicy Couture wide leg, dark wash denim jeans far in the back of my closet. These jeans are from high school and have maybe been worn twice because I couldn’t figure out how to style them to look hot and sexy, but today I may have just figured it out!
I paired these jeans with a new red pleather peplum I got at Lord & Taylor, once again on sale! If you haven’t started to shop at Lord & Taylor yet, I highly suggest you do!
I was a little indecisive when it came to what footwear I wanted to wear this outfit with. I knew wedges, but I was in between two great pairs of wedges I got from Payless a while back. One pair is from American Eagle for Payless (the Navy open wedge) and the other pair is from Isabel Toledo for Payless (the closed black and red pair).
I decided to go with the closed pair for work, they are a statement shoe and I have yet to find one person with the same pair as me!

I kinda love this! Finding words of wisdom in Disney movies is always a plus!
It’s another crisp fall day here in NYC and another opportunity to show off my favorite fall trends on the blog!
This look was inspired by all the street style I see while walking to the office in the morning. I love the effortlessly chic look of a simple flowy skirt, sweater and a vest, whether it be faux fur, denim or even leather. It’s a comfortable look that is easy to put together but looks like a million bucks (of course with me it definitely doesn’t cost that much!)
Once again I had to rock my Karen Kane faux fur vest. It’s become a fall essential, I loved it so much I bought it in leopard print too (expect a post!). What I also love about Karen Kane is she is moderately priced and makes for the modern woman who is at work one minute and at a cocktail party the next!
I paired it with a basic Forever 21 sweater I got years ago on sale and a simple black skirt from Macy’s on clearance. What I love most about the outfit however is the new blue suede booties I got and my classic Dior bag.
I found these adorable booties in the clearance bin at MJM Designer Warehouse on LI for just $10! One of my best finds this season! They reminded me of a popular pair of Fendi boots I had seen on a few blogs and these were a fraction of the price!
Last but not least, I have to talk about my Dior. This bag has some memories tied to it which makes it even more special. I bought this bag when I was just 14 at Americana Manhasset a few months after getting my first job as scooping popcorn at a local movie theater. I saw the bag and fell in love and told my mom I had to have it to start off freshman year of high school right and she said I had to buy it myself, so I did $850 later the Dior was the first bag in my now ever growing designer collection.

A little bling goes a long way! I love spicing up simple outfits with some fun jewels and these are two of my favs!
The gold spiked bracelet is from TopShop for Nordstrom, bought on clearance for $10 and the black leather bracelet with a gold horn is by Vince Camuto, also on clearance at Nordstrom for $30.
Simple, cheap and they make a statement, now that’s my style!
Fabulous words of wisdom ladies & gents, always work hard for your goals, not just to find some gold
